Sparano runs the show and is responsible for the approach on the field. He sets the philosophy of play and his assistants follow it. Time to move on with a new coaching staff that wants to score points not try to hold on to a lead hoping the opposition fails.

Pathetic. I was watching the game and my son (25) came over and asked "who the Lions' QB?". I told him he was the "3rd stringer." He was surprised how competent he was and amazed how he rallied his Lions for a win. Yup, some backups are more capable than Henne.

Don't be disappointed if Cowher stays with TV. However, party if he does take over the HC job from Sparano.

Henning is clearly defending himself calling up his experience as a reason to believe what he says. Not unusual as this is how you build credibility when you have a past. I do think he's right in that we still are missing several important playmakers. However, they are not necessarily WRs or RBs but lineman who are dominant players. I do believe he is in the closing days of his employment

I agree. We need to find a solid prospect to fill Crowder's position. Lots of nagging injuries, and trash nonsense talking with little production necessitates a new player with growing skills.

2379. Re: Quinn
"Hell no"--tell us what you really think. Quinn has started 12 times in the NFL for an inept team worse than the Dolphins. He has thrown for 1902 yds completing only 52% of his passes (184/353). He has completed passes resulting in 10 TDs. His porous O-line helped him get sacked 19 times with the Browns in 2009. He was sacked only once the year before starting 3 games. His lon

If the Fins can score 17-21 points, they will win the game at, oh my gosh...at home! The biggest hurdle is IF. I can't imagine any noticeable improvement coming from the O-line or from our QB. I suppose it is possible for the D to actually pick off a few passes so we might be able to get a couple of FGs out of Dan Carpenter. He had a bad week last week, I don't expect that it will carry over.

2382. Re: Quinn
I think Brady Quinn is far superior than that overrated Clausen playing for NC. Never cared for his skills or style at ND. Quinn should be acquired to compete with Henne or whomever the Dolphins wind up with post season. Quinn may be much better than his time with the Browns indicates. The Broncos, under their new management could trade him. What about an even trade, Henne for Quinn?

"Tebow is an *ELITE* leader. He is in the rariefied air of Manning, Brees, Brady, and Rivers as far as leadership ability goes." If you haven't already noticed by my posts, leadership is a critical element in my life and I find it important with QBs too. I wholeheartedly agree with Aqua & Orange (A&O) on the above comment. Tebow exudes leadership. Tonight I was with my y

A high draft choice QB is not in the cards for the Dolphins. We need to get a guy who is sitting on the bench. Hmm...Kolb might be a possible as I can't imagine the Eagles parting company with Vick. That makes Kolb expendable.

"Mediocrity....we've become a lower tier organization, with the likes of the Bills, Bengals, Browns, Lions, and Broncos." Excellent point. Excellent observation. In the past decade, our won-loss record comes out about even. When you think of 50% it means we might win or we might lose. A toss up every time we play. The Dolphins play two more games. Next Sunday it's the Li

I've heard this speech by senior general officers about a commander and the great job he's done and then the change of command ceremony follows. The commander wasn't being reassigned but fired from his position to go on to a position of obscurity. I've seen it. I've been there and been part of it. In this case, it could be Sparano getting reading to give Henning his walking papers. Watch for

The lack of offense is a systemic problem. Its failure is attributable to a combination of flaws. 1. Inept coaching 2. Less than skillful players 3. Lack of confidence in each other's ability 4. Overriding attitude that failure will be the bottom line All of leads to poor execution. If you start at the coaching level--something is amiss there. The players, with few exceptions on

2388. Re: Cowher
Bill Cowher would be an excellent choice. Can't argue with it. Tony Sparano is the master of a sinking ship. A football guy--he can't be satisfied with the offense. He can't be happy with his players giving up during the last two minutes of Bill's game. All that you see that fails is on his shoulders. If it's Henning that is directing the use of time outs, and is calling every lame play d

I'm ready for a real coach. Bring in Cowher and pay him well. Henne, Henning, Sparano have had a chance. It's just not working past mediocre.

It's half time. We look like a band of misfits on offense. Benny Sapp intercepted and I almost came out of my chair--then he tries to hand it off to Davis. From what I could see, Sapp could have run the ball for a good distance--maybe even scored. Very stupid play. Back to offense...there isn't anything going on. The line is porous. Henne can't read a defense.

When I watch non-Dolphin games, special attention is paid to other team's QBs and backs. One can't help to notice the big guys up front and what they do as well. With a focus on the offense, it's easy to pick up what teams have a good offensive line working for them. All play starts with those guys. Some teams run block very well and it seems their backs do well. Some teams pass block very wel

Wake is very aggressive. He ran down Sanchez and made the tackle. The guy works very hard and deserves some kudos as he is a real shinning star for this team.

First off, the Dolphin defense was stout. While many criticize Sean Smith for his inability to catch and intercept a ball, he was around it and deflected many that could have been caught by a Jet WR. If I were the HC for 10 minutes, I'd be praising the D and complimenting Brandon Fields for keeping the Jets back in their territory. I don't care for Ian Eagle (pronounced Iron Eagle) as a sportsc

Our great Florida weather attracts northerners to South Florida to live, or they live here part time. That's why there are so many Jets, Giants, Eagles, Steelers and NE fans here. They typically remain loyal to their home team. Florida's weather and environment affords people many things to do year round. That in itself has a tendency to lure people to those attractions rather than sit in

Maturing...it's maturing. My mother-in-law is a very mature 100 years of age. (She's a Dallas fan and remembers Dandy Don starting for Dallas). Sad, though, she doesn't recognize her youngest daughter anymore.

"if we didn't have bad luck, we'd have no luck at all." Did everyone shudder when we finally got the ball in and we had to move the ball one last time? Did everyone think, "now don't throw and interception" or was it just me? Three interceptions and failure to "snatch" balls that could have been caught--did us in. It's easy to say it, but it applies--Henne

Half Time! Henne is out of sync today. The O-line is doing a good job and so is our defense. The 60 yarder--WOW. So, all we need to do is get Henne back into the game--get accuracy with his passing and we can win this game. I hope it's in the cards. IMO, look for Hartline underneath and Fasano. Need some play action too and that will improve his confidence. More comments later on
