Tony Sparano is a GREAT coach

Its ashame that the captain has to go down with the ship

"Checkdown" Henne is the only one to blame for this trainwreck of a season. Lets not forget this is the same regime that took over a 1-15 team and won the division the following year with Pennington 2nd in MVP voting! I agree there has been some pretty questionable playcalling at times and we need a shakeup at OC but Henne cant even make the simplest of plays and he proves it week after week

Sparano can blame Henne for running him out of town

He's not a horrible coach, but a great coach is a overstatement.
Actually I blame most of this on Henning, he is always in Sparano's EAR.

Unhappy about his results, But honestly, I'm not really sure about Sparano's ability, I doubt he had much control over anything until Parcell's left, then he was stuck with what he had. So who knows.

Mr "fist pump" era as it will be known as. We had the JJ years, the Wanny years, Saban years, cam cam, god this list is growing. We had such stability with Shula, a by gone era when football was played by real men, not these steroid, money hungry, cry babies. Ahh to remember the good eras.

I dont know how you can say anything bad about the guy. He is playing with the worst starting QB in the league. How can you blame playcalling for Inaccuracy, horrible pocket awareness, zero leadership skills, inconsistency, terrible under pressure...Need I say more?

All you hear in the media about Sparano is how much leadership he brings to the table and how much effort the team brings week in and week out

We are a 12-4, 11-5 team with a QB that can AT LEAST manage the game and not find a way to lose and self destruct at the end and a solid RB upgrade wouldnt hurt either

You mean Thigpen would have us at 9-6 or 10-5 Yeah I believe he would have us there too, but the GREAT HC which you refere too MADE THE DECISION TO NOT go that rout, therefore.....

CrynB I agree I think that Henning, takes about 58.67 percent of the blame this year.

The Guy admitted to playing for the Field Goal against Buffalo on 2nd Down and 10.... He Lost me then... And The way we look so confused at the end of these last two games with the clock running down, that is on the Coach...... He needs to go, as much as I was in his corner at the start of the season he drove me away, and on another note did you guys here Henne after the game complaining about not having the fans Support? Dude I show up to every game and gave the whole dam team support, what did you give me?????????? one win????? Stick your support and get out of my town....

He's a LOST Soul on the sidelines.

7-9 last year and more than likely the same this year with a better defence and Brandon Marshall?

HMMMM.....someone has to take the fall? If I'm Stephen Ross...I want my own guy leading the ship and after seeing their performances this past season, ESPECIALLY at home, I say fire the captain...NOW!!!!

Sparano runs the show and is responsible for the approach on the field. He sets the philosophy of play and his assistants follow it.

Time to move on with a new coaching staff that wants to score points not try to hold on to a lead hoping the opposition fails.

As we've seen this entire year, when you play with that mentality, a comparable team can use the same tactic against you and most likely beat you. Sucks that a pro-level organization of coaches can't recognize what is working in this league when all you have to do is watch tape from around the league. If you can't pass in this league efficiently, more specifically pass the ball in chunk yardage plays to spread the defense out, you will never be above average. You can only hope you get LUCKY and make it into the playoffs. Completely inept strategy for today' NFL in my opinion.

Tony Sparano = Jim Bates

Emotional motivator but NOT HC material.

Sparano seems like a decent bloke, but hes no h/c material. I personally think that the turnaround from 1-15 to 11-5 was more to do with an easy schedule more than sparano being the saviour and the fact that Pennington led the team.

I would like to see a coach who comes back at players and bites there arse if they dont play to expectation, not applaud field goals and defend every dumb thing they do.The trouble with a lot of dolphins players is they Know its a safe haven while tonys in charge and dont have to try...crowder springs to mind.

It seems to me that Sparano is a coach whose job is strictly defined as coaching the team at practice.

Come game time, it's Henning's show. Luckily, it is also Nolan's show, which keeps us in the games we play.

Sometimes the "big name coach" isnt always the answer. Look at whats going on in Washington right now for example - A TOTAL DISASTER

Henning will be gone at the end of the year regardless, and its pretty safe to say we will go QB in the 1st round

Sparano is least to blame for this trainwreck and deserves AT LEAST another year with a few personnel shakeups
