I didn't see the game until the last 12 minutes in the 4th. I thought, the Jets are going to go down on this one. So, I watched and saw Romo give the game away! Tony Romo--what can you say. He caused the loss with his exceptionally poor judgment and play. He's like me when I play golf. I'll hit the ball well, make great approaches, sink a few long putts, and then fall a part, with consi

I have my fingers crossed for luck that Chad Henne will have a great ball game tonight against Dallas. We need to start the season thinking positive thoughts.

I watched the game too and was taken back by the sloppy play. Penalties glore. Pretty amateur, IMO. Griese thought it was the refs cracking down to get play ready for the season, yet, numbers provided of other games going on at the same time showed this game to be the odd ball among them. When there's lousy execution--timing is off--blocking and running patterns are off etc. That's what happene

It is so sad. Dogs long and mourn for their "buddies." We are often called their "masters" but that isn't quite fitting. The relationship is not one of master and servant. There's way too much love going on. Dogs do what they do because of love. No matter how crappy your day, no matter what else has gone sour, your dog (dogs for others) will always be happy to see you and

I've gone to only 3 Marlins games. My experience at each was not all that good. Having grown up in NY with the Dodgers, Giants, Yankees and later the Mets, my experience was much different. Those fans were excited over the game being played--who was making a play, who was at bat. Fans knew the game of baseball. Each pitch was important. My experience at Joe Robbie Stadium was just the oppo

He's had legal/behavioral problems so he's not the best person to mentor--at least not off the field. The teams he played for were pretty pathetic so he'd didn't do much for them (circumstances). This could be a great opportunity for him and the Dolphins.

Defending passes well plus making interceptions are key to stopping the opposing team in its tracks. Playing against Brady will be litmus test. Pressure him, put him on his back, maintain tight coverage and grab a pass or two--and that will effect the rest of the season for us.

If the secondary can snatch a few passes--the defense will be a top 5 defense. Burnett has great pursuit and is a plus for the D. Dolphins look pretty solid.

I've been doing other things and haven't posted in a while. I'm glad we are in pre-season and looking forward to a better football team this regular season. Just like most of you on this past Friday night, I watched the pre-game show and the "scrimmage" game. What I was looking for knowing all the players on both sides of the line were getting into shape and for some hoping to gain

2321. Re: pouncy
I'm surprised that Pouncey was selected--because I do think it is a good pick. I expected something way out in left field that made absolutely no sense. The O-line will get better...now if we can somehow get Andy Dalton--but he'll be gone soon. I'm hoping the Dolphins have a "plan" at QB because I still don't think Chad Henne is the guy.

I agree. It's as if, many are thinking, "it doesn't matter...whomever we select will not make any difference." Let's hope we can be surprised in a positive way with the first Dolphin pick.

Not much you can say, but I do hope that Kooch gets some help so this doesn't occur again or cause others any serious pain and anguish.

Dave Duerson was a nice guy. Gone at 50--very sad. He will be missed.

When you consider the Hall of Fame, those select players clearly performed at the highest level compared to other players in the league doing the same thing during their career. Of all the linebackers that I can think of at the moment, Ray Lewis is the premier linebacker of his time. Zach Thomas was damn good and was clearly one of the best, however, despite all his success here in Miami, he ma

If KING KONG played center and was the most dominating center ever, then sure, take him in the first round. Otherwise, centers are 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round picks, IMO. Take a QB if available at 15, or Ingram if available. I don't buy the dime a dozen comment about great running backs. Czonka, Cambell, Payton, Dorsett, Smith, just to name a few were all first round picks--they did okay fo

A colleague of mine who is a fanatic Gator fan and alum says this Poncy brother is not nearly as good as his older brother who now plays in the NFL. People will be disappointed in him. Mark Ingram--do think he will slip to 15? If so, he should be taken, no questions asked.

We need to acquire a QB. Orton isn't going anywhere. Kolb will stay in Philly, but Quinn could be picked up, and I submit is smarter and sharper than Chad Henne, throws more accurately and can get out of his own way when the pocket breaks down. He's also a better leader IMO.

Hmmmm? I'm a little surprised that the Dolphins are considering Brad Childress following his firing as HC from the Vikings. However, when you look at his overall credentials as a football coach, he has the experience to become a good OC for the Sparano. Maybe he is the right guy. I don't blame Childress for the difficulties he's faced with Bret Favre. Favre, despite his age remains a juven

Some people buy a lottery ticket and win. Shurmur might be that lottery winner in the HC search (but may not be capable of handling the job just like rich lottery winners lose all there winnings.) The future will tell.

We have some very good talent on defense. With more time working together (practice) and good coaching, these guys will blossom. Soliai, Misi, Smith, Davis, Odrick, Dansby and Carroll Wake will only get better as the entire D improves. Bell is pretty consistent.

BigNastyFish--you wrote: Ireland will remain a basic failure until he solves the QB puzzle. Sparano will remain the village idiot until he puts a functional QB on the field. Ross will fail as an owner until the Miami Dolphins find a franchise QB."----- I think your observation speaks volumes. ---- Clearly, we need to acquire a top QB. The draft may provide little, so we must

As I've stated before, this limited media conference was for damage control. What the news media reported during the week contained partial facts and partial rumors. Ross put his "spin" on the events of the week. My belief is there is some truth in what he says but has down played things to get us to move on and to focus on something else. The still shots of Sparano, Ross and Irelan

The truth lies somewhere between what was reported by the media this week and what was Ross stated at the limited conference. Needless to say, we, the fans, will never know the exact truth. Now we need to watch and see what the FO actually does regarding a new offensive coordinator. I surmise they must select someone between now and the NFL draft, hopefully weeks before it, so there's tim

Okay. For those of you expressing total dismay over this horrid week, and are ready to abandon the Dolphins, I say good bye. The Broncos may become an interesting alternative team to follow with Tim Tebow next year...that may be fun and quite rewarding for you. None of us posting on this forum, and that includes me, have any idea what is really going on with the Dolphins and why they proce

I've given this mess considerable thought, perhaps too much since I'm not on the payroll...nevertheless, with true loyal fans, it is our mess. The best thing, I suggest, is for all of us to stop the conjecture, the fantasy speculation and go with what we know, and that is Tony Sparano is the Dolphins' head coach. If we want the team to get back on track, we the loyal fans, must now rally arou
