If you read my initial post carefully, I say that the reason the Dolphins lose football games is because of the fact that the coaches do not properly teach the players to be aware of the clock and the current situation of the game. I said if Sporano wants to make a statement about building a winner, he will bench of cut Ginn. I never said he's the sole reason the Dolphins lose games.

Let us please look at reality here. The Dolphins are not a vertical football team. They are a tough, rugged, running football team. As a result of that, they need receivers who can be counted on in third down situations, not receiver who can break a big gain maybe two or three times a season. Ted Ginn has almost no value to the Dolphins, and cutting him would not affect the overall quality

I very, very rarely read these forums anymore, as the overall quality is much less than it used to be due to several admins. However, after watching this most recent disgrace of a football game, I couldn't help myself. For those of you who know me, I've always been very realistic about the Miami Dolphins, and I think its very obvious that we have hardest working football team in the league, bu

Where are all the people who were absolutely certain Ginn would have a "breakout year" and become an elite receiver? It seems they share names with a lot of the same people calling for him to be cut. I hate to say I told you so, but he has been, and always will be, a gutless waste of cap-space.

The front office made it very clear that they would wait to see what they got out of free agency and the draft before acting on Jason Taylor. Obviously they evaluated the talent and felt they still needed Taylor, so I'm willing to bet there were a couple players who failed to impress.

Does this imply that Cameron Wake was not very impressive at minicamp?

Molson Dry is the way to go. I discovered this particular beer on a trip up to Canada, and although most Molson beer isn't very good, Molson Dry is fantastic. Unfortunately, since then I've never been able to find it anywhere in the US. The Canadians are keeping the good stuff for themselves.

That was a pretty good article eesti. The Peter King bit at the end made me laugh. Although I would have left out the phrase "you people" in reference to Belicheat and Parcells. But overall, well done.

Six feet isn't too small for a mobile QB who can slip out of the pocket for a better look. However, I found Brees to be listed at only 10 lbs heavier than Pat White, which was intriguing. I can't imagine this is actually true, as athletes and teams lie about height/weight as much as women. However, if Pat White and Drew Brees are that similar in size and weight, it would definitely affect my opin

Anyone know the story behind why he was cut? Were there off-the-field issues?

Yeah, this kid is a horrible writer. It reads like a high school English class assignment. Someone would do well to actually teach this kid how to write, as opposed to just letting him spout off nonsense with an undeserved sense of accomplishment. Here's a preview of his next 12 columns: "Yeah, I love Tom Brady and he's awesome and he's the best QB of all time and he's going to set the

Oh I didn't realize it was alright to fraudulently take money as long as everyone else is doing it. My accountant will like that. I've never met the guy. I don't personally know him. What I do know about him is the fact that he doesn't fix the problem when he makes a mistake. One DUI? Partially understandable. Granted I've been out drinking many, many times and I've never been dumb enough not

The problem I see with White is that he's just so small. He's got a pretty good arm, great legs, and he seems like smart, level-headed guy. He's just so small. That's my problem with picking Pat White. A player isn't any help to you when he's injured.

He's making a lot of risky moves, and I'm wary of just how good the Jets are going to be if those moves pay off. If Sanchez isn't a bust, and he can put together another powerful defense, the AFC East will quickly become the toughest, most talented division in football.

I just don't think people like this can really, truly change. The only thing that changes, is that fear briefly motivates them and once again offers them a small taste of success. But once that fear subsides, they're still the same person. Just ask Pacman Jones, or any of the Bengals. Personally, it doesn't affect me. I would just hate to see a rookie come to camp with this guy and be influenc

I was glad to see the front office put a serious emphasis on the secondary this offseason, but we should probably keep a bit of perspective with these initial reports. The Dolphins don't exactly maintain a star-studded receiving corps, so we should reserve judgment until they get the chance to face some of the prime receiving talent now scattered throughout the AFC East.

I've also wondered whether or not Armando reads these boards. Several months ago there were a few posts, including my own, bashing him for being lazy with his blog and being a terrible writer. However, since then he has cleaned up his writing by a significant amount. There aren't too many places dedicated solely to the Miami Dolphins. He has to gauge fan interest somewhere.

A scenario such as this makes me question why teams and coaches so heavily rely on the "best player available" strategy. I've always been in favor of coaches/general managers who develop a plan prior to the draft and then execute that specific plan on draft day, as opposed to simply ranking every player in the draft and selecting the highest rated player each time, regardless of positio

Jeff Ireland explicitly stated that everyone is available for the right price. And I guarantee that any QB who throws for 4000 yards will garner serious interest from all but a few NFL franchises.

I doubt Quinn shows much promise as a return man or receiver. Just a hunch.
