God I love Rex Ryan

The day the JETS hired Rex Ryan was the best day of this Dolphins offseason.

He overpaid for a rookie QB who looked good in shorts/t-shirts drills and only has 16 games under his belt. And now wants to start him opening day. NOT TO MENTION, the Jets want to sign Plaxico Burress and it came out today.....Pacman Jones!!

This team has disaster written all over it. And if Sanchez isn't the "real deal" combine him with Gholsten (another bust) and their salary cap is messed up for the next 5 years with two Top 5 or so draft picks being complete busts in consecutive years.

Even if Miami takes a small step back this year and goes 8-8....we will at WORST finish in 2nd place because the Jets and Bills are complete and total jokes of a franchise right now. Neither one has a clue

He's making a lot of risky moves, and I'm wary of just how good the Jets are going to be if those moves pay off. If Sanchez isn't a bust, and he can put together another powerful defense, the AFC East will quickly become the toughest, most talented division in football.

Sanchez has nobody to throw too. He has BUST written all over him. Throwing a rookie QB out there with no weapons on offense (and they have less than none if possible) is a bad thing. He is the next Rick Mirar!! Bad situation on a Bad offense.

Even if they sign Plaxico......he will have to serve jail time then an NFL suspension. You won't see him till 2010 at the earliest and he will be a shell of his former self.

And I don't call the moves risky. I call them dumb. There is a difference. If the Pats overpay for Jason Taylor for 1-year and bank on him returning to a 10+ sack guy.......that is risky. Little downside there.

Signing nutjobs like Pacman, Plaxico and throwing a rookie QB with no weapons on offense to the wolves......THAT IS DUMB!!!

I don't know why they would want Pacman. They already have two PB caliber CB's.

The small draft classes and the high number of high priced free agents make the Jets a WIN NOW team, and will crumble within 2-3 years, sooner if they continue to bring in ne'er-do-wells and Sanchez doesn't rise fast, and a little later if Sanchez plays ok, but the Jets remind me of the Dolphins about 9-10 years ago... small draft classes with lots of free agents will lead to a tumble and a fired coach

Yeah, this kid is a horrible writer. It reads like a high school English class assignment. Someone would do well to actually teach this kid how to write, as opposed to just letting him spout off nonsense with an undeserved sense of accomplishment.

Here's a preview of his next 12 columns:

"Yeah, I love Tom Brady and he's awesome and he's the best QB of all time and he's going to set the touchdown record again and the Patriots are going to win the Superbowl and Belicheat is the best coach ever and he is infallible and I love Tom Brady. Go Patriots."

Darrell Revis made the Pro Bowl in his 2nd year...09. Lito Sheppard is a two time Pro Bowler...04 & 06.

Sheppard lost his job in Philly because of injury. Dislocated elbow in the playoffs in 06 and had multiple injuries the following year when he was replaced by Samuel.

Revis is one of the best young corners in the league.

How cool would it be if the jets finished with 3-5 wins and had a top 3 draft pick. Talk about strapped for cash, this could keep them as one of the worst teams with all of the money they have been dishing out...

The NFC south, they actually had more total divisional wins then ours with (12) panthers (11) falcons (9) bucs and (8) saints

Well next year is an "uncapped" year so the Jets will be ok if they have another Top 3 draft pick or so. When your owner is Woody Johnson of JOHNSON & JOHNSON......money is never an issue

I gave up trying to find a list of the records for all the teams last year. I still say the AFC East is the most competitive division in the AFC.

AFC East isn't close to the most competitive division in football.

NFC South, AFC South, and NFC East are all clearly better. Considering the AFC North put 2 teams in the AFC Championship game you can throw them in there as well.

AFC East is middle of the pack at best.......maybe.
