What I see from that is that he can throw, he can run, and he can think quickly under pressure.

A great mind can help him translate his ability to the NFL.

I'm excited

The problem I see with White is that he's just so small. He's got a pretty good arm, great legs, and he seems like smart, level-headed guy. He's just so small. That's my problem with picking Pat White. A player isn't any help to you when he's injured.

The problem I see is that he's small and his release on his passes are low. I see a lot of batted balls on short passes. He'll need to adjust that.

Injured? They all said the same thing about DREW BREES...seems to me that this LITTLE GUY almost broke Dan's Yardage record this year.

Wake up people...if we didn't take him, the Pats would have...he's a RARE talent on OUR squad...stop being negative!

Flutie used to jump sometimes to throw over OLmen. He will just have to adjust thats all.

If he is as talented as he looks he will adjust....What was the name of that QB we had that was like 6'6 and couldnt play for crap.....

Flutie, steve young , drew brees etc are all smallish qbs who are or were successfull in the nfl. And am sure there are many others who i do not know or remember....

There are places pat white is listed as 6 feet other places 6'1.

Can't wait until training camp when they finnally put on the pads and there is some hitting involved. I know he wont get hit but i wanna see him under pressure on the 2 minute drills. Man i wish there was football 365 days a year.

Not my idea of the ideal football player, size wise...but maybe he'll turn out to be the steal of the Draft! We can only hope.

The "prototypical" size theory doesn't make any sense for me... didn't seem to stop Drew Brees while on his way to 5000+ passing yards, while being "only" 6' tall

It's not really height that's the issue to me, it's his small frame and durability concerns. Just hope he will be able to survive the hits he's going to take if we use him as a scrambling type QB.

Six feet isn't too small for a mobile QB who can slip out of the pocket for a better look. However, I found Brees to be listed at only 10 lbs heavier than Pat White, which was intriguing. I can't imagine this is actually true, as athletes and teams lie about height/weight as much as women. However, if Pat White and Drew Brees are that similar in size and weight, it would definitely affect my opinion of White.
