No chyren, he is a troll. Even if he is a finsfan (dubious), he is trolling for a rise out of everyone regarding Tannehill. We should all just ignore him and he will reign in his posting or just leave.

crowder- the common stat used is yards per pass attempt. If you were referring to the lesser used yards per pass completion then my mistake. Anyway, it's no shock that Tanny isn't killing that stat with a 59.6 completion % and the nature of our WCO. He is still middle of the pack though. I agree that it is hard to determine when QBs will slump although I think Newtons and Staffords slumps

Well the Bills invested heavily in the RB position. Jackson was a nice find but now they are paying him quite a bit on his brand new contract. Spiller was a top 10 selection only two years ago. That is why they are loaded at RB. Before their RB worry you too much just remember that Fitz is their QB.

RGIII is a great talent no doubt. But if you actually watch the games, he throws screens, slants, and PA deep balls the vast majority of the time. If he isn't doing that then he is running a myriad of option plays. He is killing teams by executing these plays very well but he is not being asked to do very much yet in terms of protection calls and route combos with multiple reads. It is basica

Maurkice is good but he has never played as good as Mike is playing this season. That is a fact. I just hope our Pouncey gets noticed for his good play and gets rewarded by all pro/pro bowl if deserving at the end of the year.

well, i'm guessing the Rams were looking for Lane to run it and didn't expect us to try to pound it with Reggie. So the first time, I'd say no big deal, we were trying to surprise them. A real head scratcher after the first time though. Reggie looks hurt still, hopefully he can heal up on the bye and return to form.

My favorite things about watching Tannehill are pre-snap and his pocket presence. He can work on ball placement a bit but really we need more weapons to create more separation and give him an easier target. Look at the Pats game and see how much separation Welker and Hernandez get. Welker might be small but when he has two to three yards of separation, its actually a pretty huge window for

A&O, good post. Don't count out Nolan Carroll or Jimmy Wilson from developing into a solid #2 corner. They seem to be getting better each week. Sean Smith is still developing as well. Right now, I would say he is a very good #2 corner. He needs to shut down nobody WRs to become a legitimate number 1 corner for us. He gave up a lot of cushion to those Rams WR today. Vernon played grea

I've seen that type of hold called many times in the NFL and I've seen it not called many times. It's more of a judgement call and depends on what kind of officials you have. These officials are calling contact pretty closely, I don't think I've ever seen so many illegal hands to the face called.

Great drive. Where is BNF? I'll just note that Martin got owned in the first half, albeit against Chris Long. While Long did well except for a couple bogus penalties.

how easily we forget that Tannehill was ridiculed as a 2nd round project QB by many. Miami was mocked nationally for reaching on a QB that would be a "2nd rounder in any other draft". It was in no way an obviously great pick. Pundits either loved or hated Tannehill and many had Wheedon rated higher. Ireland orchestrated the whole thing perfectly from hiring Philbin/Sherman to ta

BNF, Your getting way too caught up in scheme and scouting reports from five years ago. Long is not a top notch athlete for an OL but he is more athletic than most. You don't have the success he has had with just being "juiced up". Superior players will be successful no matter the scheme and, to me, Long is a superior player when healthy. Obviously, this is where we will have to

They are more commonly called 2nd reaction plays and Aaron Rodgers is best known for it. I'm guessing it's something Philbin emphasized in GB and is now emphasizing here. Tannehill has the athleticism and throw on run abilities to effectively take advantage of these situations, same as ARodgers.

Martin has been good for a rookie but by no means amazing. He won't be in the pro bowl or anything. The guy is serviceable right now and projects to get better but he has given up quite a few pressures usually only facing the opposing teams second best pass rusher. Even with Long's struggles, he is much better than Martin right now. Martin seems amazing because we all had to watch Colombo suc

Jake Long is very good at playing football regardless of scheme. Whether you would pay that kind of money to any OL is a different question but a few plays does not a season make. And Jake Long has been good this season if not as dominant as we are accustomed to seeing. He is not worth Joe Thomas money but I have a feeling Jake thinks he is. I'm guessing we end up franchising him, quietly ex

So keeping in mind what weaknesses each of you have pointed out, what position would you like filled with a blue chip first rounder next draft? I vote for corner.

It's funny that we had the 2nd best QB in the AFC East last year in Moore and now we have Tannehill as 2nd best in the AFC East. So really, we have the 2nd and 3rd best QBs in the AFC East. What do you think the biggest hole on the team is at this point and going forward? I think this question needs to be revisited since at the beginning of the year everyone assumed it was WR. Now, I am not so sure. That position still needs an upgrade but Hartline and Bess have stepped up and JG should be reliable if nothing else. I think a case can be made for corner opposite Sean Smith.
