Doubling down on the same stuff you said before the season he even began, despite the fact that it is true that even nationally (not just homers/kool aid drinkers on this site), RT is getting credit for having a great rookie year and giving the team hope for a great future. I've read at last 3 columns on espn and other national websites to the effect. John Clayton wrote one, maybe you should read it.

RT has already set the team record for passing yards in a game by a rookie, fell 1 yard short of the nfl record for the same category, has had over a 90% QB rating in his last 3 games, with the number improving each game. and it is his 6th game, and he led the team to 3 more wins than they had last year at this time, and but for missed FGs we'd be 5-1.

He has a better passer rating than Andrew LUck a higher completetion % than all rookie QBs except RG3, more TD passes than RG3, fewer INTs than all the rookie QBs other than RG3 (hasn't thrown one in his last few games---that is called improvement, a good thing for a rookie)

And it's Reggie Bush who is the reason. OK. Reggie Bush was the best player in the Rams game? He had like 10 yards rushing. Whatever.

If you can't admit you are wrong, maybe you should at least try to change the subject. you'd have more credibility.

This is a QB that has more INTs than TDs.

This is a QB whose 4th quarter splits are abysmal.

He turned the ball over in 2 of those games (arizona and jets) at the end which the opposing teams scored to win the game. But Carpenter also missed kicks in those games to win...

last 2 min of "half," which includes 1st halves and can be quite misleading, given at the end the 1st half often the team is running out the clock and the 2d half the team can be making desperation heaves. in my recollection the only time RT was bad at the end of a game was against the Jets with those bad throws to the end zone.

you said his 4th Q splits were horrible and they are not by your own link you posted.

clearly you'd rather be "right" that RT is bad (and you are so wrong about that) than just root for the guy when he's actually playing well--if not Marino well then at least for a rookie. We are 3-3 and heading in the right direction. why spend all of your time trying to refute that? seems like an actual miami fan would find something to be happy about with RTs play.

It drives so many of you crazy, but I'm not trolling (I'd be trolling if I started saying "Tannehill sucked", or just disrespecting him without facts and numbers to back it up). Exactly.....And you posted it right before we were getting ready to play them just in case tannehill did good (in which he did ) he would get no credit at all because like you said the raiders stunk.

My opinion about Ryan Tannehill is that although the jury is understandably still out regarding his long term success, he is without question the most promising QB we've had on the roster since Danny. Ryan has shown poise, a strong arm, mobility, smarts, a short memory after a mistake and that gunslinger mentality that elite QBs need to have. What makes this all the more remarkable, is that he's showing these qualities after a mere 19 starts in college. There is every reason to believe that we may have finally found our franchise QB. IMO, any fan who finds fault with what Ryan's been able to accomplish thus far, is merely trying to find fault for the sake of finding fault. Watching this kid play has made this an infinitely more exciting year to watch Fins football.

Yes, and I would add that he seems to have the right temperament i.e. is very coachable. There have been lots of QBs with the physical tools for the position but didn't have the intangibles (Jeff George and Jamarcus Russell come to mind). This kid seems to really want to excel and is willing to put the work in that's necessary. Like I said earlier, long term, the jury is still out, but I like what I see so far...

i agree fin72 long term who knows but there is so much upside to this kid.
Hopefully it turns out for the best.

With Brady entering the twilight of his career, the jets stuck with Sanchez, and Buffalo trying to make due with Fitzpatrick, I like the QB situation in Miami better than anyone else in the division. Man, when was the last time you could say that and really mean it?
