Berk, I agree that it becomes a lot easier to fill out the roster and make the playoffs. However, to win SBs it is not so easy. Peyton and Brees have played at a top tier level for a combined 20 seasons and they have two SBs to show for it. And only when the rest of the team was good enough did they win. With a Franchise QB, you can be like those teams who are consistently playoff team

Cap, Wake and Starks will get pressure for sure. Sean Smith is actually playing very well and I am looking forward to him matching up with Green. Remember that we have faced the very best WR in the first few weeks, Dre, Fitz, and now Green. This could be skewing our pass D ratings since those guys are gonna get their yards no matter what you do. If we can shut down their run and bottle up

hopefully he gets signed to a jordy nelson type contract. 4.5 mil per year over 3 years. Pretty reasonable money and he gets another chance to hit FA in his prime if he continues to put up big numbers. Anything more than that is overpaying at his point.

It's true that you are what your record is. However, if you actually watch the games it is obvious that we have the potential to be 3-1. We have kinks to work out but it doesn't take an optimist to know that the Fins are heading in the right direction. Even ESPN is taking notice of how we are playing and not just the final score. I think everyone just needs to relax and enjoy the improved pla

Quote from Wake this week, "My mind-set every time I go out on the field, you could draw in whomever, is I’m winning. You can’t block me, there’s nothing you can do. You’re going to have a problem all day long". I thought it was an awesome quote that showed his mindset. Thank god we locked him up for the next few years.

Interesting. Those pass attempts are skewing our Pass D rating probably because teams realize they can't run so they just pass. Still need to hold up better in crunchtime on D but I think the secondary play is much improved. Loving the second stat, Tanny just needs to keep grinding.

TCPF, contending for the superbowl in 2015 i hope you mean. I think we will be legit contenders in the playoff race next season. also, i think our safety play has been pretty good. Much better tackling and not many big plays. Reshad Jones is turning into a good player and it will be interesting to see his ceiling. Clemons could be upgraded at some point but not as urgent as getting a CB op

I agree TCP, defense with first rounder for sure. We are one stud pass rusher or DB away from a pretty nasty D. BTW, Sean Smith allowed zero catches in the Jets game. He is looking good to start the year along with Reshad Jones.

I think I remember Ireland saying on hard knocks that he didn't want progress stoppers at WR. He liked the potential of the group and didn't want to bring in a bunch of vets that would obviously be better initially and eat up reps. Obviously that strategy is hurting the team right now since none of our young WR have really stepped up. So Ireland could have gotten better talent at WR but had

Definitely go for one of the pass rushers. I like Jarvis Jones the most because of his versatility and I think he can be like Von Miller in Denver. We can run a 4-3 under with Odrick Soliai Starks Wake Jarvis Dansby Burnett This is the same defense that Seattle, NE, and Denver run and it is nasty with the right personnel. Did you guys see Seattle tonight? Misi is odd man out in this

Did you guys see that hail mary? Obvious offensive PI, then the ball was intercepted, then the idiot officials called a TD. Unbelievable.

well said crowder. Thill was obviously going for the game winner and he couldn't get it done.

I get your point Chyren. However, I think it depends on the play. In some instances the DBs are getting away with murder and in other instances they are flagged when they didn't touch the WR. It's the inconsistency that is most troubling. I don't find it surprising that DBs would test the replacement officials to see what they can get away with. Also not surprising, if a replacement official

What Qb are you referring to 808? Every rookie has thrown at least 1 pick this year.

I saw a stat today, that there have been 15 more interference calls this season than last season through week 2. So I'm not sure what your referring to Chyren. They showed that stat during the broadcast today as well. It looks like the replacement officials are really struggling with judgement call penalties like PI and so they overcall them.

I think we are agreeing then Chyren. Tannehill struggled with his deep accuracy. When I say Thill missed guys underneath, I mean that he didn't see them not that he made a poor throw.

These refs get worse every week. Tannehill needs to learn from his mistakes and he is definitely learning the hard way. However, if we had at least one legitimate weapon at WR then the learning curve dramatically decreases and margin for error is greater. Basically, we need help at WR in the draft next year.

I just plain don't like the icing the kicker TO's. But it is ridiculous to think that Philbin should have forseen that we would block the kick. That is hindsight bitching at its finest.

DK hit in on the head. Tannehill kept throwing deep instead of taking the underneath stuff and at least picking up yards. We had 3 TO so we could stop the clock. Hopefully he learns from this. Big time meltdown. Playcalling wasn't that bad, I understand being conservative plus Tannehill missed open guys, we had dropped passes, and we gave up a couple big plays on D. Not sure about th

After a casual initial look at this game, I thought Reshad Jones continued his good play. He picked up routes in coverage easily and made some nice tackles. Clemons also looked good at the other safety spot. We really need another corner to play outside so Marshall can move into the nickel.

89. Re: ugh
We really need another good CB or good pass rusher. So many times we almost made plays on the ball or almost sacked Sanchez. Our D could be really good if we can get another good player to put more pressure on the offense. Richard Marshall is a good player but he is definitely more suited to nickelback, Holmes had his way with him for most of the afternoon. Wake must lead the league in hurrie
