Come on, Phinsfan2, Again, we're not talking about stats. We're talking about who was regarded the "primary receiver." All of the discussion about Ginn above is whether he is a true "no.1" receiver, i.e., the main man, the primary target. Wasn't that the discussion above? As far as Nat Moore and Paul Warfield is concerned, I am giving you a true statement I hear

No, Montequi: If by number 1 receiver, you are referring to stats, that's not the discussion, Curt, I, and Phins Fan 2 are having. If the two of them disagree, then let me know. If you look at my post, I say, that Duper was the primary target and that he was so covered that Clayton got the Stats. It kinda reminds me of What Nat Moore used to say. He said that in his first year, he was

Super-DUPER was the number 1 receiver, as you say with blazing speed

Like I said, my criticism does not go to Ginn alone but to the whole gendre of receivers that we have nowadays. They only catch a PERCENTAGE of the ordinary catchable balls and almost NEVER make the Lynn Swann catch.

17048. I'll man up
After reviewing the tape of the MNF game, I've got to man up and say that the Pennington I saw in that game was nothing like the one I saw against Atlanta. If Chad plays like he played against Indy, there is nothing to prevent our team from going back to the playoffs and winning it all. So, as much as I criticized him against Atlanta, I've got to man up and tip my hat to him this week. T

Phinfans 2, I taped the game because I had to go to a funeral. I came back and stopped the tape and watched the last five minutes. I reviewed the tape. ONe of my buddies at work thought I would go nuts given the time of possession and the fact that we lost. I was not bothered. I said, "Hey, they (Indy) have one of the best offenses in the NFL." I knew there was an example i

High paid wide receivers, not failing to make the miracle catches of Lynn Swann, not missing on duplicating the great catches of Jerry Rice, but missing damn simple catches that hit them in

This has been happening too much in the NFL in general. Everytime the QB goes back to pass, he is in danger of getting his ass kicked. I came home with 5 minutes left in the game and will see the rest on tape. However, of all of the positions on the field, only one has ONLY ONE job description. Let's go thru them all. The o-linemen, block on passing play, block on running play. Tigh

One different ranking is for sure and that is that we have the No. 1 toughest schedule based on strength of schedule than any other team in the NFL. Yes, Jonathan, that means a really number 1 and not a number 1 based on last year being a rookie season.

I'd LOVE to be eating a big, fat meal of Pennington crow next week. I'd love to see him throw 20 touchdowns in that game. If I could get a good performance from him, I will gladly endure all the taunts from the Pennington believers on this board.

I was there either on this board or the miamidolphins.com old chat board screaming and crying days in advance to draft Drew Brees. As I remember (and I could be wrong), we had not only passed on him in the first round, but could have gotten him with our early draft pick in the second round and we passed on him then also. And, as I remember, it was not like we had a great quarterback at the

Okay, I can buy that but don't blame it all on the O-Line. At least until you have done my stop watch test.

RESPONSE: Montequi, there is ONE other person if you read the threads. Just one..... But when do the numbers dictate right or wrong. You'll see for the rest of the season. Last year we had no one else but Pennington is a LOUSY quarterback and should be replaced by HENNE pronto. Even the announcers for this game recognized that the future is with HENNE. I say the future is now.

Uh, Randy Moss went to Marshall. Flacco went to Delaware. Brian Griese went to Michigan. Bad logic. RESPONSE: Not bad logic but just proof that there are exceptions to every rule. But for the most part...............................

LET ME MAKE A BIG EXCEPTION. In the last 5 minutes of the game, it became clear that if the Dolphins were to win, it would have to be by the pass. The Falcons then pinned their ears back and Pennington had to throw a lot of passes away to avoid sacks. But go back and time the first three quarters and the beginning of the fourth with a stop watch. You'll be surprised at your Mr. Pennington.

Ooops, I made a typo, Pennington was drafted in 2000. Thunder, get off Fasano. He had a bad game but he's not the quarterback.

When Pennington plays against the Colts, we will not "do well" or even as "well" as we did today because their offense will play a lot better against our defense than did the Falcon offense. But, of course, you Pennington lovers will blame that loss on our defense.

Thunder if you call that a decent job, your standards are too low. Replay the game on a tape. Count thousand-one, thousand-two, thousand-three and write down the results for the amount of time from the snap that Pennington had on passing plays and compare it with the time that Matt Ryan had. You will see that Ryan had less time and got more accomplished. Yeah, it hurt that Fasano fumb

If you put "our defense did it's job" with which I agree and then carry that out to its logical conclusion, that means that Matt Ryan, a first year man drafted in 2008, was under as much pressure as Chad Pennington, drafted in 2009. HELLOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop drinking the Kool-aid and LET'S GET REAL!
