Well, as I said in that separate thread, there was a BIG BOO BOO when the refs had to admit the replay machine was down on a call that they CLEARLY BLEW in OUR FAVOR AT THE START OF THE GAME. If we had won, no matter by HOW MUCH, then there would have been a constant whine about how that EARLY CALL affected the game (I believe we went on to score a touchdown on that drive but correct me if I

16982. Re: Coaching
Alright, PhinsFan2. Give me your explanation as to why someone like Camarillo would suddenly be hit with absolute Moon madness and feel that he had to stop the clock? Now, just don't go with he's stupid and just think about it. There were three straight passes in which receivers were heading for the sidelines (one incomplete). No runs. There was not a single running play. Do you

Anthony Fasano and Ginn both drop crucial passes. The one Fasano dropped was just as critical because Ronnie had thrown it after he was certain to be sacked. Like I said, these receivers nowadays......well, I've said it many times before. However, I defend Camarillo, he was only doing what somebody was apparently telling him to do.....i.e., get out of bounds at all costs. (and there w

16986. Re: CRIMINAL
Oh, I believe it was an INTENTIONAL fumble but it was not by rule an intentional forward pass. Some say the rules would call it an incomplete pass. (No penalty, loss of down, of course, but nothing else.) Some say the rules call it an illegal fumble with a 5 yard penalty from the spot of the fumble (first down remains if enough yardage).

I repeat. The receiver is the only player on the team with one assignment, CATCH THE BALL. While Henne was back there getting his ass kicked after every throw, the receivers felt they had the luxury of only catching 'SOME PASSES' when it suited them. Ginn was not alone although he missed the easiest pass.

16988. Re: Coaching
I can only say it so many times. The coaching staff was in a hurry up mode. Can I prove that this was said in the huddle? No. Can you prove that it wasn't? No. So you have to look at external things. You look at the fact that there were four straight passes before Camarillo's penalty. Moreover, as I explained in another thread, there is no such penalty for throwing an illegal fo

But DolphinSam is right. I have never seen that call called since the infamous Raider game that changed the rule. WHEN IT IS CALLED, THE REMEDY IS SIMPLY TO BRING THE BALL BACK INTO THE FIELD OF PLAY AND KEEP THE CLOCK RUNNING. The refs dreamed up illegal forward pass. It was an ILLEGAL FORWARD FUMBLE. That's all. I know we can be mad at our team. PhinsFan2 you could look at a lot o

Panteraize is right. As I said in another thread, you can make an argument for all of the refs call but the fact is that ALL of them after the "our cameras weren't working" call went against the Dolphins. You can also construct an argument that if the Dolphins had played a perfect game, these calls wouldn't matter. The fact is that every team has a right to expect neutral officiati

When we were behind by six points nearing the 2 minute warning, before that "illegal forward pass" call (which in no other game in which the refs hadn't blown that first call would have been called), I was screaming at the TV screen........................................... slow down, SLOW DOWN, why pass? Don't leave any time on the clock for NEW ORLEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But FOR

It was about the refs. I counted 11 calls after that call. I'm not saying that we should have won everyone of them. But nearly all of them could have gone either way.. Every damn last one of them went against us. Finally, the ultimate insult was preventing us from scoring a last touchdown. Where was the rope party outside of the stadium as we used to say in the Ole West in the 1800s

for that blown call in the first quarter. They won't be satisfied unless we lose. That way they can say it had no affect.

The timeout call, ironically, was what was going through my mind before they called it in order to protect against the trick play. As it turns out, the Saints legitimately were going to actually kicked the field goal and never intended to run a trick play. That's the way the ball bounces. Had we not called the timeout and had they run a trick play for a touchdown, we would be in the same

But they are their own worst enemy. When you run up the score, by definition your best players are playing when there is no necessity that they be on the field. If I were the owner, I would ABSOLUTELY fire Bellicheat. Is he crazy? What if Tom Brady were to get injured? Did he remember that team without Tom Brady? It makes no sense.

I've seen bad calls go both way in a lot of games. Chalk it up to bad refs. But (rubbing my whiskers) there seem to be a suspiciously large amount of bad calls in this game and they all went against us. Moreover, they were all at critical times that gave the Jets a boost.
