RT's health and ability to have time to do his job ARE the most important thing BUT... You don't give up a starter to get one. You add one thru FA! By ALL reports this is the deepest draft in decades. We can get starters in the top rounds so DO NOT trade those picks. You are handcuffing Hickey. What if that traded pick turns out to be the next Steve Hutchinson or Troy Polamalu? It is saf

I agree they are not great BUT it may allow a team to take a player later like Derek Carr, McCarron, Garroppolo, etc and have a year to train them as a backup plan IF they don't believe in the top 3 guys or if the only one they like is gone.

So which of these QB's will be given starting jobs as teams pass on the available QB's? Matt Cassell, Michael Vick, Josh McCown, Josh Freeman, Matt Schaub (if released). Also trade possibilities Kirk Cousins to reunite with Shanahan in Cleveland Rumors... Matt Cassell to Houston Cousins to Cleveland I see Schaub as a backup.... McCown getting a shot somewhere after a great yea

Grow up. It was a joke. I guess the only "stat" that matters is your tackle count. LOL Doesn't matter where the tackle was made I guess. What a joke. It has nothing to do with PFF. Everyone in and around the NFL knows they sucked. It's why Miami is trying to replace them. It's why their own teams didn't resign them. It's why we lost games like vs NE. "Complacent"

I have been reading some pretty decent points on Miami and the off season lately. With Grimes in hand I think the best path to take is this.... I'm not too disappointed that we are letting Starks go and letting Soliai test the market. They are too old to sign big deals. Starks will be good for at least two years but will decline rapidly and then be tied up in a big contract...dead money. I'

I can't argue and I will adjust it at some point. I just wanted to get it written down. He seems to be a bit of a tweener for a 3-4 defense. Mayock seems to like Mack better as well. Said he would take him #1. Also....one of those QB hungry teams will be signing Michael Vick and trying to get one later. I would love to get Aaron Donald! I think he'll be gone. Sammy Watkins at 15? I

Really not understanding this move.... Austin Spitler tendered as exclusive rights FA for 1.32 mil! That's way too much for what he does. RJ Standforf 630k Pat Devline tendered at 540k (this one's ok)

Koa Misi was the least productive because the SLB comes out of the game in passing situations leaving the two jokers in the nickle. He had less than half the snaps. That was a mistake. No way were Ellerbe or Wheeler better. They sucked. Misi has always been a solid LB'er. Not flashy but he does his job. Can't say the same for the new flops. Sure Ellerbe and Wheeler collected tackles but it

Makes no sense to me. Jackson was not that good last year. He has not been good since 2011....and now we are going to play Ellerbe at WLB? He did not play the run or cover well last year. We are basically screwed at LB'er. Maybe we'll get lucky and Jackson will choose somewhere else. We need to draft a LB'er and stop signing FA's. We already have way too much cap space eaten by these guy

Anyone remember who won last year? Sure wasn't me! Work in progress.... 1. Houston Texans (2-14) Teddy Bridgewater, QB 2. St. Louis Rams (3-13) Jake Mathews, LT 3. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-12) Johnny Manziel, QB 4. Cleveland Browns (4-12) Sammy Watkins, WR 5. Oakland Raiders (4-12) Blake Bortles, QB 6. Atlanta Falcons (4-12) Greg Robinson. LT 7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-12)

What is it with all the love for McKinnie? He gave up 7 sacks in 10 games last year, 13 hits and 38 hurries!!! And he is twice the pass blocker as he is a run blocker. That means he probably gets Tannehill sacked 12-15 times next year. There was a reason he was cut/replaced in Baltimore. He's not even a good option at backup. You need someone with potential and someone who can play multiple

Don't forget that Jeff Fisher has a little history with the Mathews clan so he may lean towards Jake. He had pretty good luck with Bruce. He was taken 9th overall in the 83 draft. Good genes right there. 17 years he started all 16 games!!!

But outside of the top 5, who can start as a rookie? 1 Robinson 2 Mathews 3 Lewan 4 Martin Possibly #5 Joel Bitonio? The next guys have not impressed me at all. They don't look like LT's ready to play. They look like lumps. 6 Cyrus Kouandjio 7 Morgan Moses 8 Antonio Richardson It may be a deep draft and there will be a gem found somewhere below the radar but if we want a start

We could play that game all day....In the same year (2010) we got Jared Odrick and Koa Misi over Earl Thomas AJ Edds one pick BEFORE Geno Atkins! Reshad Jones 12 picks BEFORE Greg Hardy! Chris McCoy 6 picks BEFORE Dekoda Watson Nolan Carroll over Antonio Brown Can you imagine adding those players to our starting lineup? DT Geno Atkins FS Earl Thomas DE Greg Hardy OLB Dekod

That's a given but the idea was that we must be prepared for that to happen AND that LT is too important to gamble on being there in the draft.... unless we have the ammo to get one of the top 2 or possibly 3 guys...which we probably don't. We would have to give up our 2nd round pick to move up for Mathews or Robinson and we need that pick to get either a DT, FS, OG, RT, etc. Basically what

Who else uses the number 3 overall pick as a special teamer? That was a direct shot towards Ireland IMO. I am wondering...just how big of an ass is Joe Philbin anyway? The more time goes by the more he looks like one. If you didn't play a talented kid just to prove a point to your GM then you have no business being a HC. Now way of knowing if that was the case but none of the rookie class g

Baltimore wanted to resign Ellerbe last year but could not afford him due to limited cap space. This year they have over 22mil left after signing Pitta to a new deal AND they are losing Daryl Smith to FA. They basically have no ILB's. Ellerbe was obviously better in their 3-4. It would be so nice if we could trade him back to Baltimore. The only problem is Miami back loaded his contract and

It may be worth it for a team picking at the end of the first round and that will be in the same spot next year but it will also cost around 10 mil a year to sign him to a long term contract. Probably not a great idea for Miami when we are already paying Wallace 17 mil.
