Last year there were several OL guys in the draft that were very athletic and jumped way up in value after working out. A few of them turned out to be pretty good last year. Terron Armstead, Lane Johnson...even Kyle Long. Johnson catapulted into the top 5 after working out. I don't see those guys this year. Taylor Lewan ran a nice 40 but he was already ranked pretty high. Not a whole bunch

Because he was a career backup prior and only started last year due to injury.

DE $13.116M; DT $9.654M; LB $11.455M; CB $11.834M; S $8.433M; K/P $3.556M. QB $16.912M; RB $9.54M; WR $12.312M; TE $7.035M; OL $11.654M. Nobody we have is worth those numbers. Sign them or let them walk

That leaves us around 32 mil left in cap space. Was 39,181,214.

4 years 32 mil, 16 mil guaranteed. Not too awful bad. I still want to see how they spread it out over the cap...and other terms...optional or opt-out years etc,

Because it's a chat board and a real possibility and it's the off-season and we're having NFL withdrawals.

I am thinking the guaranteed money will have already been paid at the end of year 2.

IMO, you only tag players that are irreplaceable. Grimes is not. Lots of CB's available this year. Flooded market with younger guys. You assign a value to him which I'm sure Hickey has done. I'm guessing it's about 7.5 mil a year, possible as high as 8mil for 2014, 6 mil for 2015 and about 4.5 mil for 2016. If you think there is a high possibility he will decline middle of next year at age 32

Hard to believe Bryant played DE. He was a good fit in a hybrid scheme but didn't do much as a DT prior. Not sure how he would fit. Same age (year younger) as Soliai and Starks.

Untapped talent...potential....yes, he COULD be great. Jury still out. Wake only has limited time left and we will need a DE eventually but he seems a better fit as an OLB in space. Johnson dominated the second half of the season and is proven AND fills a huge need @ 4.5 mil cap hit.

Best trade scenario..... Philly: Even up swap for Lane Johnson Sign Anthony Collins and we have two guys that can play either side. Collins will cost less than Monroe or Albert. This would let us splurge on a play maker like Jairus Byrd.

I was just writing a post earlier about this possibility although I suggested trading Wake since he could garner a high pick and only has a few years left. Put Vernon at the strong side and Jordan at the weak side in a LEO role like Seattle does. Interesting to see what these layers are worth. Jordan already cost us a #3 and #42. We should have taken Lane Johnson! He probably would be hi

Numerous league sources, including executives from other teams, say the Dolphins might also be open to dealing receiver Mike Wallace and pass-rushing ace Cam Wake. That perception has only grown through the course of this week, through conversations with numerous decision-makers from other clubs, as Miami looks to retool its roster under a new regime. PFT
