I believe you guys are using different parameters in your arguments. For true local market size, yes it's traditinoally a function of the local population as MikeO says. This is important when local media outlets are setting advertising rates. The more people who live in the area, the more who watch/listen to the local stations, the more money is raised. Victor is right that the Phins jus

Now, wasn't last night's game of Browns vs Steelers a PERFECT example of what we were talking about with games being played outside? It was a cold December evening, two rust belt rivals duke-ing it out just like in the old days. Can you imagine last night's game inside a dome? It wouldn't have been half as entertaining.

Welker is a great player but he is most certainly benefiting from the presence of Moss on the field. Remember the end of Nat Moore's career? We had Duper and Clayton on the field at the same time. The opponent's DBs keyed on the young speedsters, and Moore got lots of passes thrown his way as a result.

Yeah, can you imagine Bart Starr doing a quarterback sneak with it minus-15 degrees OUTSIDE, but inside the stadium it's a cozy 72F and the field has the latest techno-turf. All the while Coach Lombardi is pacing the sidelines in a Hawaiian shirt.

That game was a classic. The look on Jerry Jones' face was hilarious. Jimmy Johnson too, with the snowflakes mixed in his hairdo making him look like (a particularly bad) one of his dandruff shampoo commercials.

If we don't put the Tebow debate to bed here on this forum, another team that picks earlier than us in the draft will do that for us. Partly because of our own success with the Wildcat, other teams will want to draft for him early, and grossly overpay him, in order to establish their own version of the WC. I predict that it won't work, and Tebow will have a decent career as a well-paid backup

Definitely, Futt. quite an oasis of Fins fans up here. When I first moved to the Boston area I thought I'd be the only native Floridian in the area. Turns out there are quite a few others who have done the same. I would SO love for us to win the Super Bowl so I can further shut up my Brady-licking coworkers.

I just heard Scott Zolak, former backup QB for both the Pats AND the Phins, call the Pats "not a good team at all" hahaa. Zolak is a local (to Boston) commentator and I was glad to see him say, on TV, that the Pats basically stink. Also, my neighbor had about 12 cars come over and park in my yard, on the grass, in the street, obviously to watch the game. They cleared out a few
