I just heard Scott Zolak, former backup QB for both the Pats AND the Phins, call the Pats "not a good team at all" hahaa. Zolak is a local (to Boston) commentator and I was glad to see him say, on TV, that the Pats basically stink. Also, my neighbor had about 12 cars come over and park in my yard, on the grass, in the street, obviously to watch the game. They cleared out a few

It's not a bad idea in general. Lots of QBs made have made the transition to receiver. On our own team in addition to Jim Jensen there was Marlin Briscoe, who played QB for the Broncos and was a effective WR for us, who also chucked a couple passes once in a while.

I like it. There are more articles, more information, and I like the little avatar thingy that shows whether it's a news article, blog entry, etc. However Chris S.'s entries seem to be absent from the new version while they were in the old versrion. Don't know if that was intentional because they're linked elsewhere on phins.com I like the improvements so far; thanks Curt.

We just don't have it this year. Maybe if we would have been luckier with injuries, we'd be in a much different position right now. But at this point we need to gel more as a team,

I'll bet that Wanny & Co. fell into the stereotypical trap that quarterbacks need to be a few inches taller than 6' 0" in order to be successful. Somehow Brees has been able to succeed despite all the prejudices that come along with the measuring tape, and other tangible criteria (height, weight, measurements of various body parts) that teams rely too much on when deciding on whom to

A tall order, considering that the temperature in Miami has never hit 100F (granted the stadium isn't technically in Miami). Higher-than-100 field temperature would be nice, to melt the patsies.

I'm hoping for a heat wave to hit S Fl just so we can at least get a weather advantage in....but currently the forecast high is 'only' in the upper 70s for Sunday.

I thought it was interesting to read today that he actually has a quadriceps injury, not a torn knee ligament. He's still out for the year, but his recovery should hopefully be somewhat easier from a quad injury, let's hope.

I'm going to weigh in on ChyrenB's side of the legacy thing. Like several previous posters, I also was a very young kid in 1972. I was at most of the home games that year and I cherish the memory as one of the highlights of my childhood. I DO care about the perfect record, even though it was long ago. I DO want to see it preserved. The longer ago it was, the more of an awesome achievem

Sparano: "Our field goal team was absolutely patched up" my guess was right. He just said so at the podium. He even said "we knew our guy could make the kick" it was the blocking he was worried about.

I don't think the issue was whether our kicker can make that kick. I think the issue was whether our line, with all the injuries, could have provided protection. I'll bet they were worried Carpente

They didn't try the field goal because it was longer than a chip shot, and I'm guessing they thought the risk of a block and runback was too great, esp. with so man of our blockers injured. I'm not even sure how many of the starting OL is on FG kicking team but for whatever reason they thought the risk was too great. I agree they should have had Ricky in there. My only guess is they were a
