All I remember about SBVIII was everyone saying "watch out for the Purple People Eaters" because they *almost* upset our perfect record the season before.
And "watch out for Tarkenton, he can scramble his way out of any jam"
Leon is right, Kooch & company executed a perfect mix of traps and in-your face strength blocking (this is back when linemen could NOT use the

If, indeed. And if he makes that kick, the score is 17-0, super bowl shoutout, the score 17-0 and the season record

He'll def. go into the HOF during his first year of eligibility
He's the most popular of all time. Not the best.

Deion may have been the fastest, had some great INTs, had lots of runbacks for TDs. He also had the best highlight reels and danced the best.
But Mel Blount was a better overall CB. He could cover, intimidate, and wasn't afraid to make tackles. And he had more career INTs than Deion.

72 was the best season for sure.
But as for the actual super bowl game, our team from the '73 season was even better. Garo almost blew the game in SBVII. But we absolutely obliterated the Vikings in SBVIII from start to finish; they had NO chance throughout the entire game-and it was AWESOME to watch!

In Penny's eyes, why not? He knows what he'd be getting into between the general environment and living in the area If they give him the best offer, I wouldn't blame him.

Yes, then he came back to us for a couple years and finished his career with the Saints.

Unfortunately, I remember him.... and I also remember him being a defensive end, not a linebacker. Either way he couldn't play, at all.

One thing about Bryan Cox, is that Bryan truly respected Shula and I'll bet he obeyed his direct orders. Remember when Shula called the press conference to announce his retirement (one of the saddest days of my life)? Bryan Cox made it a point to show up in support of Shula. A few reporters seemed shocked and asked him why he was there. That show of respect and support doesn't come from a

moley is probably posting that way because in a previous thread I asked him to limit his quotations to a few lines. So please make fun of me, not him.

Congratulations to the Colts.
I'll bet Pierre Garcon is especially proud today, he's had a lot on his mind lately with the situation in Haiti and all.
Good luck to the Colts in the SB!

They're may be wining....and dining...but they're not winning!
That's funny I don't feel sick at all! Congrats to Peyton & Company.

The way I remember it, it was originally Dolphins Stadium--albeit for a very short time. Joe Robbie did not name it for himself when he built it; he named it for the Dolphins. However he passed away very soon after its completion, at which time it was named in his memory:

This is a big improvement, if only in terms of the name itself (disregarding for a moment what types of products are involved).
Think about it. LandSHARK doesn't make much sense for Dolphins arena. "Sun Life" has a great connotation for S.FL in the sunshine state.
