He is an amazing passer, and that has never been questioned.
The problem is can he lead his team to a win on the final drive, if he cant...then we dont need to draft him because we already have that guy in Chad Henne.
Well since he had maybe the single best combine performance from a passing standpoint and he just had a GREAT pro day from a passing standpoint. Yes, I'd be happy with him at #15. Not sure he's mobile enough...because he's worse than Marino was.
But he has the talent in the passing game and that's all that will matter provided of course we can improve the blocking.

Face it. Henne can't make all the throws. His accuracy on short passes is questionable, and his long passes remind me of Joey Harrington. Mallett CAN make the throws. That, in itself, puts him ahead of Henne.
LOL....I realized about 6-8 weeks ago that I would just mess with you about Mallett up until draft day. I have to admit, it has been pretty fun for me!

Not to mention, if he really wanted it not to be seen, he would have deleted your post...you know, the real classy one that makes fun of thousands of people dying and millions more suffering in Japan.
Phinsfan, you know as well as I that book smarts and common sense are two different things, yet inter-twined within the common realm of so-called "smarts".

RESPONSE: And this will all lead to, (Mia1 hopes), us passing on a quarterback, getting rid of Henne (or benching him) and starting Thigpen.
I think a Mallett draft could work. I would prefer that we trade down and are still able to draft him and also get his TE (D.J. Williams) in the second round.
I don't believe Williams will still be on the board in the 3rd.
At this juncture, I think we need to really find a way to get a second round pick and that will directly effect what we do at 15.
