Never underestimate your opponent. Always take them seriously. We all watched Rocky to know an opponent expected to be a "light weight" may turn out to be far more than expected. That is the concern today. The Texans are floundering with a 1-8-1 record this season. They come here to win...that must be presumed. The Dolphins must not assume they will roll over. If they are smart they wil

The game is over. The team played great today. It was pretty much a balanced offense--great to see--and we wrapped up another victory. Tua was quite accurate hitting many different receivers for gains; similarly, our running backs ran strong through major holes provided by excellent blocks. Defense did a decent job too. No complaints. Very pleased with the win.

It's half time and we lead 17-7. For the most part offensive plays have been pretty good--a few were total duds. Tua and receivers are playing well and the run defense has stepped up during the first half. All and all, things are running smoothly. Wilson Jr. is a good RB and adds a lot to the running game. Mostert and Wilson--a good running back combination. Ingold also is blocking very wel

Dolphins are on a roll...keep winning going as we host the Browns. As usual, we need to see better defense against the run and in the air. Chubb may be a factor today. Go Dolphins!

We won.... The refs were off when they failed to call defensive interference on our CB. He held...no question about it. THAT was in favor of the Dolphins but should have been called against us. That would have changed the final minute or so of play. The game closed with a whimper after that, IMO. Justin Fields established an NFL record running the ball against us. He is amazing and our posit

Tackling is poor. Tua should have held on to the ball and run to his right rather than toss the ball low to Smythe. We can't defend Fields. He is elusive and fast. He's a better runner than thrower, IMO, but capable of throwing the ball for a TD. We may not be able to hold on in this one. Now sitting on the edge of my seat with fingers crossed.

That last drive by the Dolphins was a bit of a mess. It ended with a missed field goal by Sanders. We get the ball after half time and hopefully we can drive for a TD. I am hoping we didn't lose momentum with that messy last drive. Justin Fields is hard to contain and he is the Bears' best runner. His ball handling is also exceptional. If defensive adjustments can be made that will be helpfu

Our first possession--TD by Mostert. Good, accurate passing. It's 7-3. This will be an interesting game.

Our Dolphins are in the Windy City to play the Bears this afternoon. I have to wonder if our newest arrivals will see activity especially Chubb. We need to exert more pass rush pressure on opponents and hopefully Chubb will be the component that will improve that aspect of the game. Put another way, I hope he kicks butt! LOL Tua seems to be on track again and today is another opportunity for

The second half--what a difference. We scored and pulled ahead for the victory. Congrats! It was a nail biter during the first half. Tua was on target, had a great outing as did the receivers. Waddle 2 TDs, Gesicki 1 and Hill had 166 yards (I think that was the number). Eichenberg got hurt. Hunt came in and did a fine job. Defense needs to get players well.

27 points scored against us and the penalties enforced and the total penalties declined is a telling sign that our defense is out to lunch today. Noah Igbinoghene horrible coverage IMO. Offense is okay right now but it will be difficult being down 10 points at half time to outpoint the Lions. This game is a big surprise to me. I never expected our defense to be so lame.

Our defense is as effective as a screen door in a submarine. We are losing defensively--badly. Goff is accurate. Our coverage is terrible.

Detroit! Yes, the "mighty" Lions face the Dolphins on their turf today. This game could be a runaway for the Dolphins offensively and could be the highest scoring game of this season. But of course, it may be competitive offensively unless our defense can stop their big backs and we can put pressure on their QB. A strong running game should be the game plan...again to minimize the risk

okay, I am going to write it. Our HC is over his head. He looks bewildered. I see him saying to himself, "now what." He is not impressing me one bit--and hasn't watching his pregame interviews. 4th quarter now and he has no offensive answer to score points.

JC--your comment is on the money. Dumb decisions stopping progress. Where is Gesicki on these short plays? Ridiculous.

Excellent start. Griese was only 6 feet tall. Czkonka was 6'3" and weight 240 or more in his prime. Both are shorter today.

50 great years have passed since the 72 undefeated season. Special for fans who saw it and special for the tradition of winning that Shula brought to the franchise. Those folks, WERE the glory days. Well tonight, in front of a huge TV audience, Tua returns. I expect lots of trauma talk and concussion talk from the announcers, I just hope it doesn't make watching the game a bore. Tua may be a

I remember that season well. Griese going down and Morrall stepping in to save the season. It was such a great, oiled machine. The SB was just the cherry on top of the cake. The Dolphins were the best, period. That time has long passed along with Shula and so many Dolphins greats. I am glad they can gather and talk about those glory days. When one gets older these memories are sacred. Thank you

Way too many mistakes that were caught as penalties. There's nothing like shooting yourself in the foot repeatedly to stop progress. We are now 3-3; we could and should have beaten the Vikings. Up next, the Steelers.

We are 3-2 and the Vikings are 4-1 (so far) this season. Today's encounter starts around 1 pm. Thompson will be our QB and all of us are hopeful that additional practice time this week will pay off offensively. I am still worried about the teams secondary play and do hope things improve today for them. I had a long day yesterday and plan to relax watching our Dolphins beat the Vikings.

It's several hours since the end of the game and the loss was not unexpected given the QB situation and the many injuries that weakened the team. Yearly disappointment is once again setting in for me because the team is once again the subject of ridicule. From selecting Tua as the QB answer knowing his injury prone background...then jumping ahead as to whether the concussion protocol on his a

The game is lost. No passing game. Secondary can't cover nor tackle. Back to the drawing board with QBs. Offensive weapons don't mean much when there are no healthy QBs or an experienced QB to run the offensive.

Our secondary is not doing very well. We have offensive weapons, on the ground and receiving and that may overcome the weak secondary play. Thompson is doing okay. The intercept was caused by a lineman getting a finger on the ball and sending it into wobble. Thompson is not syncing with his receivers so far...if he does better in the 2nd half we should be able to out score the Jets. I am optimi
