The energy has dissipated following the injury to RT. No spark shown on the first drive. Penalty by Tunsil set them back. Can Gase excite and energize the players...I hope so, but not with lousy play calling.

It's been exciting football. Glad to see it. But... The step on RT's foot/ankle...not good at all and that could doom any further scoring in the second half. We'll have to wait and see if Tannehill takes the field and if he does just how effective he will be with less mobility and a weakened foot to throw off of.

Lousy play calling combined with a weak offensive line, and injuries to our receiving corps...all contribute to weak scoring potential. Howard is earning a Pro Bowl selection. He is also earning a right to a higher paying contract. We are seeing him blossom.

Below are comments from ESPN. "Offensive coordinator Joe Philbin will serve as the interim head coach. Philbin was 24-28 in three-plus seasons as the Miami Dolphins' head coach from 2012 to '15. He was with the Packers for nine years before he was hired by the Dolphins and returned as offensive coordinator for this season." GB offense is not hitting on all cylinders. Could Joe Ph

SCPhinsFan--that was my thoughts exactly when I heard GB fired him. That would be fine with me as long as his buddy Philbin stayed out of the picture.

Penalties galore on both sides of the ball today. It was down to a couple of plays and the Dolphins get a win. Whew! Now back at .500. Six wins and 6 losses. Josh Allen almost made it happen. Fun to watch.

Howard is having a strong game. Kiko Alonzo: quite evident he has desire; quite evident he has to chase down too, too many players. Josh Allen is really making Alonzo look determined but too slow afoot to do much about it.

Well, it's half time and I'm surprised by the lack of posts thus far. Has everyone fallen asleep or gone Christmas shopping? The O-line, LG, C, RG, are having a difficult game (to be polite). During the off season these three positions must be addressed. No QB could provide enough talent to overcome the weaknesses in these 3 key offensive line positions. The only good thing for the momen

Game is at 1 pm. Old style uniforms will be donned by the players and hopefully will magically strengthen our team's resolve on defense. Go Dolphins.

SamSam, your topic and thread are really "tongue and Cheek." You honestly don't want the Dolphins to lose yet you don't want them to miss out potentially on a better player that could be taken in the 1st round of the next draft. Many assumptions going on with your post. The chances of the twits in management actually picking a first rate quality player (at any position), based on past

Ken, you saw what I saw and have to agree. Gase is horrible play caller and D was severely out played by Luck who is a very good QB.

"They win ugly and they lose ugly," opinion of Bill Cowher today on the NFL pregame show about the Dolphins. Hopefully, the Dolphins can "win ugly" today versus the latter.

Tannehill will suit up and start against the Colts this coming Sunday. This is good news...never thought we'd see him play anymore this season.

Wow, just plain wow. What can anyone really say. Player injuries continue and we have no answer at most of the positions on this team. A dozen points...all by FG. 3rd down conversion ability is piss-poor. Osweiler, just another guy trying to be a QB. He ain't much that's for sure. Gase, just another guy trying to be a play caller and HC. He ain't much at either, that's for damn sure.

Things were a hopping around my place today and as a result missed everything after the Dolphins field goal. Luckily, I recorded the game and was able to catch the rest of the game later in the day. While the Dolphins outscored the Jets the game was a pathetic display of NFL football. These two team couldn't fight their way out of paper bag. Our offensive line play continues to resemble a sa

Ken, sorry to learn about your horrific military experience with others you served with. My experience was just the opposite. From time to time my position required me to work with members of sister services. All of them without question proved they were honored to wear their respective uniform and always came through with the job or task at hand. My experience with enlisted was also very

Doesn't go far enough. Maybe an ownership, management and coaching trade would make it really work to defeat mediocrity. In reality, I can see Parker being traded for draft picks.

Rick-- It's okay for you to disagree with me on my leadership assessment of Gase. You have a different perspective and that's fine. Besides, I sure don't know for certain whether my opinion is correct. Just my two cents. My perspective comes from spending a large part of my adult life as a military officer where leadership qualities were very important. There were all types of leaders observ

I'm going to jump in and make another post after watching Adam Gase's Post game media interview following the Dolphins loss to the Texans. After listening to Coach Gase and seeing his demeanor I can unequivocally opine that he will never turn this team around. I've commented before that he has a poor self image. Wearing a cap, using the cap to hide is eyes and part of his face, not looking at

Fins72, I remember reading your post above mentioned. During the early '90s the military became heavily involved with Quality Force Management. Most officers I was involved with received considerable teaching and training into this concept and one of the things presented early on was to seek out the very best. It may have been a process, product etc. The object was to evaluate a particular

What makes a team exceptional while others teams have pathetic losing records? Is it ownership, management, coaching, bad decisions on free agents, draft choices and final roster picks? In the case of our Dolphins, being a loyal fan since the beginning of the franchise, I have to answer my own question with "all of the above." The exceptional teams seem to have superior ownership,

Not much of a team. I stated in the original post on this thread: "Our defense seems confused and one can only hope that the confusion on coverage that was rampant last Sunday has been straightened out. " Well, it's still a mess. Parker has had a good game. Hats off to him...for a change. Maybe I've been wrong about him.
