Tannehill will suit up and start against the Colts this coming Sunday. This is good news...never thought we'd see him play anymore this season.

Wow, just plain wow. What can anyone really say. Player injuries continue and we have no answer at most of the positions on this team. A dozen points...all by FG. 3rd down conversion ability is piss-poor. Osweiler, just another guy trying to be a QB. He ain't much that's for sure. Gase, just another guy trying to be a play caller and HC. He ain't much at either, that's for damn sure.

Things were a hopping around my place today and as a result missed everything after the Dolphins field goal. Luckily, I recorded the game and was able to catch the rest of the game later in the day. While the Dolphins outscored the Jets the game was a pathetic display of NFL football. These two team couldn't fight their way out of paper bag. Our offensive line play continues to resemble a sa

Ken, sorry to learn about your horrific military experience with others you served with. My experience was just the opposite. From time to time my position required me to work with members of sister services. All of them without question proved they were honored to wear their respective uniform and always came through with the job or task at hand. My experience with enlisted was also very

Doesn't go far enough. Maybe an ownership, management and coaching trade would make it really work to defeat mediocrity. In reality, I can see Parker being traded for draft picks.

Rick-- It's okay for you to disagree with me on my leadership assessment of Gase. You have a different perspective and that's fine. Besides, I sure don't know for certain whether my opinion is correct. Just my two cents. My perspective comes from spending a large part of my adult life as a military officer where leadership qualities were very important. There were all types of leaders observ

I'm going to jump in and make another post after watching Adam Gase's Post game media interview following the Dolphins loss to the Texans. After listening to Coach Gase and seeing his demeanor I can unequivocally opine that he will never turn this team around. I've commented before that he has a poor self image. Wearing a cap, using the cap to hide is eyes and part of his face, not looking at

Fins72, I remember reading your post above mentioned. During the early '90s the military became heavily involved with Quality Force Management. Most officers I was involved with received considerable teaching and training into this concept and one of the things presented early on was to seek out the very best. It may have been a process, product etc. The object was to evaluate a particular

What makes a team exceptional while others teams have pathetic losing records? Is it ownership, management, coaching, bad decisions on free agents, draft choices and final roster picks? In the case of our Dolphins, being a loyal fan since the beginning of the franchise, I have to answer my own question with "all of the above." The exceptional teams seem to have superior ownership,

Not much of a team. I stated in the original post on this thread: "Our defense seems confused and one can only hope that the confusion on coverage that was rampant last Sunday has been straightened out. " Well, it's still a mess. Parker has had a good game. Hats off to him...for a change. Maybe I've been wrong about him.

Officiating continues to be stellar...right guys. Ha! What a joke. Is this an all rookie officiating team? We're still in the game at half time. What happens next is anyone's guess. Devante Parker suited up and playing. How about that. A few catches under his belt too. I wonder when he'll leave the game because of some minor bump. Yeah, he's not high on my list of players!

Wish I had something positive to say... Best sandlot football I've seen in a long time. That says it all. We are behind now 14-7; took less than 90 seconds for two scores.

Terrible officiating. Bad calls, even though we benefitted. It is still wrong. Officials need to regroup and start looking at what's going on--not assuming one way or the other.

Agree Fins72-- With the subpar play of our interior linemen (guards) neither pass or running plays can be very productive or consistent. Face it, we have a real problem at guard and it will be seen again tonight during the Texans game. If there's a top notch QB prospect in the next NFL draft, we should carefully consider whether it is time to make a pick. Otherwise, the Dolphins need to do

Yeah, I took liberty with the subject title. The Texans are all full of fight and we'll have to play the "rope a dope" and get real lucky to win this one. As far as I can tell we are battered, bruised and without a good HC who can do little but hide his eyes under his cap. The Dolphins are showing up for another Nationally televised game and my fingers are crossed that the team does en

I'm not going to change allegiances. I've been a fan since the beginning and became a rabid fan when Shula arrived. I'm just terribly frustrated at the big hole we're in. Ugh!

Fins72 you're are just as ticked off and frustrated as I am over the continual lackluster performance of this team. It goes from week-to-week, season to season, with little hope of improvement because of feeble ownership, inept upper management, lousy coaching and questionable draft and free agent picks. There is some talent on the team and from time to time things come together. Like a blin

Yes, that's the scenario during the Dolphins' first possession. Leading up to this: First down: Gore run between LT and LG. Stopped. Second down: Defender breaches line between C and RG. Sack of QB Now with 16 yards to achieve a 1st down, the call is a run on the left side that gains only a few yards. Dolphins punt on 4th down. What was the likelihood that a running play would

Crystal balls still unavailable ten years ago...lousy choices made on talent continues to prevail today for the same reason. Jamar Fletcher should have been a player and turned out to be a bust. One of many players like this landed on the Dolphins that proves selecting good players is a "pig in a poke." Everybody knows that what takes place for a player at the college level doesn't alw

Another losing effort. We lost more than a game today...we lost several players to injuries...you watch and see who suits up for Thursday night's ball game. (Don't expect to see Devante Parker our weekly bench sitter.) Houston Texans are up next and will enjoy watching our porous defense preparing for us. LB play stinks, O-line play isn't a tad better. Boy oh boy are we in for it now. We'

Porous defense again this week. Inconsistent is the key word. I have to wonder if its weak talent or bad defensive calls. Alonzo may be the lead tackler on the team but he still can't cover anyone running a pass route. We are going to lose this game.... It's the beginning of the 4th and we are down. Lions keep marching down the field. Their receivers look great.

What a lackluster effort in the first half. Watching Cameron Wake: He seems to have lost a step or two and is getting manhandled by the Lions' RT. Defensive line is being outplayed and our LBs are out of sync. They are making many mental mistakes. Coverage is lacking badly. Offensively we are not calling good plays. Our plays are too obvious and poorly executed. More use of TEs is n
