BTW Dolfanmark provided the chart when I asked the board if anyone had a copy of the chart.
But it is not my chart or Dolfanmark's chart but the chart that is used I believe.
I also remember the chart that you posted a link to.

The PURDUE-MICHIGAN game today lets me renew this discussion.
Michigan missed an extra point and ended up losing by it 38-36.
So Venom, an extra point is not automatic either.
Didn't the Jets blow an extra point attempt against us last week?
JC is right.
Even conceding your point that the kick point is almost automatic.
This is the big point of the "YOU ALWAYS KICK UNLESS

NWA of the 80's and gangsta rap of today are TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS.
NWA were political and about uplifting.
Gangsta rap is negative and about affirming the worst things in our community and saying "What about it, sucka! I'll bust a cap in you if you don't like it."
You don't have to hear every gangsta rap song to get the general idea.

Well, like I said, A & O, if you want to be sensitive, what Johnson said was far worse than what Griese said.
It may be stereotypical to say that middle eastern people eat hummus. Is it presumptuous to make a joke about Middle Easterners eating hummus? Perhaps.
Is racist a too harsh of a term? In my opinion.
Is it presumptuous to make a joke about a Black probably being out eati

Let's suppose that a white broadcaster said that about a white kid from the suburbs. People would be scratching

To Venom:
The game has just started and you sack the opposing QB in his endzone. You're up 2-0.
The opposition fails to convert after the kickoff.
You get the ball and drive for a touchdown. You're up 8-0. Do you kick the extra point (you certainly don't NEED to score 2) and go up 9-0 or do you go for two and go up 10-0?
I think most people would say go for 2 and be up 10-0.

As far as the 4 field goals thing, I'm not going to go back and track it down but at some point you were saying I was being inconsistent and now talking about field goals whereas before I was talking about getting to there via touchdowns and I was trying to explain but it really is not important.
You say " I'm NOT basing my decision to go for two on the fact that I I need to get to 20 now
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
I brought up the 4 field goals making 12 points to say that on the next touchdown, you are going to try to get to 20. That's a football number. You probably don't want to go to 19 which is a beatable number in case the other team gets to 17 and kicks a field goal to beat you.
When you say defeatist, you're looking at it the wrong way. You are not thinking (in any of these scenarios) what yo

Grooves and Realist, I don't think you can change the mind of the "practice" people.
I think practice is often a good indicator of how a person will play but, as Grooves pointed out with respect to Randy Moss, it is not the only indicator.
And to answer the question, Yes, Randy Moss often goofs off on plays he is not involved in so and would have no trouble believing that he goofs

I have to agree with Realist.
Sometimes, it's not a case of slacking off in practice but that the coaches play that guy who GOES NUTS in practice.
However, he is more calm and confident in practice but freezes up when he gets on the field.
So what Realist is saying is simply double-check your impression that you got from practice and see which person performs better on the field.

I'd like to get a copy of "the chart." As one of the announcers said, the chart does not take into account the time of the game, or how teams have been playing both in terms of how well they have been playing or how fast or slow they have moved down the field or whether they have been passing good or running good or doing either poorly.
Still I'd like to get a copy of "the cha

I agree with GBOfinFan that I don't get the momentum thing.
However, I don't agree with him on the math.
I think that the coaching staff was looking at only one side of the equation (and I can't argue with those who say that that outlook might be bad in and of itself). They were thinking that if they got the two points and the Jets MISSED a two point try, that would leave them with 32-25 a

Well, let's start the arguing and keep going until the moderators lock the thread.
What about the Dolphins going for 2 points after scoring a touchdown and the score being 30-19?
The announcers hated it. They couldn't figure out why.
However, at the end, when we were sitting at 30-25 and the Jets were driving, I said to myself "If we had scored those 2 points, we would at least be

Have you seen Henne's arm? Remember Pennington's passes?
I think Pennington was a better field general. I doubt we would have had as many sacks or lost the yardage that we did on them with Pennington, but on the whole, I think we are better off.

I think the calls today were equally bad and good for both teams. We may have got the better of it with that fumble we quick snapped on.
However, even on that on, the Refs were blowing the whistle when the ball was still free. Therefore, I think by rule the call that he was down would have to stand.
