I was a long time and early advocate. I predicted that by the end of this year, he would be starting. However, I had no idea it would be because Pennington would be hurt. Nonetheless, what I was disappointed to see today, ohhhhh, I should say LATE today was what I did not see early in the game. Early in the game, Henne was eating the ball and taking sacks. Late in the game, he started chan

It's a toss-up but if we bring the Steelers down to 5 losses, we play them at the end of the year. The only way we go to the playoffs is to win out our final games and even then the chances are slim. The Ravens have 5 losses already and a sixth loss today would put them back with us but we need to have Pittsburgh beaten. The loser of the AFC West race has a wildcard locked up. That le

16863. Re: Coaching
It's catching! Every time Arizona blitzed Vince, he made dumb plays. Tennessee is 4th and Goal on the 11 yard line. 6 seconds left. Arizona had blitzed the prior three plays. On this last play, Arizona oddly decided to see what Vince Young could do with a little time. TOUCHDOWN! And since we Dolphins are at 6 losses, we really could have used that game. Well, our dumb coaches woul

Another thing also. It's just not the Bills. Why is it that the average run yardage against our defensive line even from two yards behind the line of scrimmage is always about a six-yard gain? We ain't THAT GREAT at sacking the quarterback either.

Jamarcus Russell was NEVER meant to be ANYBODY'S QUARTERBACK. But he could substitute for Ronnie Brown in the wildcat. This is Ronnie's second major injury. Jamarcus's stock is pretty low and no other team has use for his skills. CUT PAT WHITE AND PICK UP JAMARCUS RUSSELL.

16867. Coaching
Yeah, coaching again, Dammit. Ryan Fitzpatrick IS NOT Peyton Manning. That 14-14 score should have been 14-0 in favor of the Dolphins. However, we decided to play our secondary again Fitzpatrick when we should have been blitzing him all day which is what you do to a young quarterback. Every 25 years or so, there will come a Dan Marino who, even as a rookie, it is dangerous to blitz bu

Thanks for the explanation, MikeO. I guess it should make me feel young since my only memory has been of the San Francisco Giants.

The Patriots THINK they have something to defend! I still say that all that 18-0 that turned into an 18-1 makes them is LOSERS, LOSERS, LOSERS!

And as far as your statement about Ronnie is concerned, we disagree on that, read my last post on the Ricky Williams thread. Ronnie is a very good back. Ricky is a GREAT back. Ronnie makes good runs when the line opens a hole similar to the one that God opened in the Red Sea for the Children of Israel. If Ricky jukes and slips one guy, he is gone! The wildcat works with Ronnie be

Not only that but in that post he contradicted THREE things he is saying now. 1. He admits that the division title is the easier way to get into the playoffs. 2. He admits he thinks we will lose to New England and 3. He thinks we will have a 6th loss. Afterwards I posted to him how unlikely it would be to get into the playoffs with a sixth loss and that is when, out of context, he p

Its obvious that the line is drawn and need not be repeated. I would perhaps take the chance on having some other team go undefeated if both we and the Pats were at 14-1 and had split our games, and the Division title was at stake (which meant the loser would have to play in the wild card bracket) and the last game the Pats was playing was against an undefeated team from the National Football

PhinFans2, in response to JC you said "Nobody will be rooting for it to happen JC, we all take some level of pride in the fact that the '72 fins went 17-0." Yet in the posting that started the fireworks between us you referred to it as "some ridiculous record from 37 years ago." Are you sure you are not a politician too? I'll respond to your post next.

Well, it's here. Couldn't come at a worst time, MikeO. I guess a lot of people have made their positions clear. This would be easier for me evn if Indy had lost a game. The fact that Indy is unbeaten still presents the possibility of my worst nightmare, two undefeated teams in the Super Bowl. On the other hand, if NO beats NE. Then we can win the East if we beat NE the next week.
