And my whole thing is that the negative rappers (The original rappers of the Sixties were like The Last Poets and others who tried to advance the civil rights movement. They rapped about the bad conditions of the Black race.) These little thugs now (not saying all rappers but there are rappers of all kind and there are even Christian rappers), all they do is glorify the very negative aspects o

First all, Miami Reppa, you don't know whether I'm Black or not, Myself. You know I am part Black because if you search this board, you will find that I stated that I am 1/8 of one race, 1/16th of another, and 3/16 of a third and that those races are White, Black and Native American in no particular order. You know I am 60 years old from my graduating from Berkely in 1970. You should also kn

With respect to the Don Imus comment, when that comment was made I thought that it would be a great opportunity to lambast Black rappers who have brought the phrase "nappy headed hoes" into our lexicon and who have made millions of dollars doing so. I thought that the discussion would focus back on them and the lesson would be that when Black rappers who glorify the "thug life&q

No, MikeO, when Bob and I were at Purdue, Penn State was not part of the Big 10 but was independent. We did not play Penn State in the 1965-1966 season, my freshman year, and I doubt we played then in the three prior years which were Bob's Frosh to Junior years. We did not play every team in the Big 10 in those years so I hardly think we would have had time on the schedule to play an Indepe

I'd root for the Pats to protect the 17-0. But I don't think we have anything to worry about. I mean we were not such a great team as to get up on top of them 24-3. If we can do, you can be damn sure other teams can. I doubt they will make it to 10-0.

It sounded to me like Bob knows the guy personally. If someone knew me, they'd probably say that I'm out eating my favorite ethnic food, and it'd be a joke cuz I'm famous for LIKING IT A LOT. If Bob did not know the guy or know nothing about him, you are close to having a case, MikeO. But what if an Italian is known for loving Spaghetti and someone knows him and says, "Hey, where is B

I truly did not know what the reason was when I posted second on this thread. Not EVERY Hispanic loves tacos. Not EVERY Black loves fried chicken. However, tacos are a STAPLE of the diet of most (well, all I can speak to is Mexican-Americans because I live out here in California and have not much experience with Cubans, Puerto Ricans, etc.) And Fried Chicken, IS a large staple of the

One thing that I was saying in my mind when Hartline caught that pass, "If this were Ginn, no way would he be caught." Hartline is slow indeed to be caught from behind by the tackler given the lead Hartline had. Of course, it may be the case that he has the hands but Ginn has the speed.

16971. Re: Coaching
Two things I noticed. One you never said what Sparano's reason for calling the timeout was. Secondly, you abandoned the original argument about Camarillo and the Holy Roller. Yes, I'll reply and you do what you want. YOU SAID: I clearly said there are 3 options after the time out. 1) is Bress comes out with the offense and runs a play. 2) is they kick a fg. 3 ) is the fake a FG with ei

Moreover, we put no pressure on Brees. He had to be wondering after the first half when we put no pressure on him. So what does our coaching staff think, "Well, if we did so well in the first half without pressure, why alter our game plan and put pressure on him the second half?" Of course, you can only hold down a good quarterback so long. Realist is right, if you can get a 24-

Okay, I got this from the Miami Herald. STRANGE PENALTY The ghost of The Holy Roller visited Sunday as the Dolphins tried to drive to a winning score, down 40-34 with 2:26 left and a first down on their 44-yard line. Dolphins wide receiver Greg Camarillo caught Chad Henne's short pass, yet couldn't get to the sideline before being tackled by cornerback Randall Gay. Camarillo appeared to

We are never going to agree on this. You are being illogical. On one hand, you admit that the staff was running a hurry up offense and on the other hand, you blame him for making the decision to try to KILL THE CLOCK. Conveniently, in your mind, you refuse to even admit the possibility that the coaches told all the receivers "try your best to get out of bounds" and Greg thought
