Those passes tipped today were basically very quick passes for very short routes. The quick fix is the throw the ball deeper. Establish some deeper outs in order to open up the underneath stuff. Long term fix is that Tannehill needs to develop some deception in his game. Misdirection, fake pumps, look offs...move around to create passing lanes. The other part is the responsibility of t

Obviously, the fast paced double field practices gave the Dolphins many more reps then we would have had other wise. We were clearly resting some of the VETS toward the end of preseason. Some of that was injury related. The theory is to make practice harder and faster than the real games. When the real games start with the true starting lineup we will see if it truly works. true fa

Unless Hartline is unable to fully return, I have no interest in Gaffney or any other old injured Receiver. This team is doing their do diligence in working out a handful of unemployed Vets.

Yep, totally insane. But, it's a better invironment for the 4 year old boy. And, they let me work from home on Friday's if were not too busy. Back to Armstrong... I re-watched some of his highlights and the thing that really stands out is that he will go up for the ball and get it. He gets good separtation on the deep stuff and will fight for the ball.

In 2010, he had 44 catches for 871 yards averaging 19.8 per catch. He is certainly more of a deep threat. Hopefully, he can run routes better than Clyde Gates. The system in Washington may have some similarities or overlapage to tranistion to our offense. Personality wise, he is known as a jokester here in DC. That could be a good thing since our receivers are so uptight they can't hol

I remember the Miami press reporting that Thiggy has primarily worked in practice as a slot receiver throughout training camp. Ideally, he is a special teams starter, backup slot reciever, and 4th RB. He has good versatility which should allow him to hold on to a roster spot.

And how can you forget Derrick Shelby? This game may have squeezed out a roster spot for the man.

Yep, it took some courage for Clemens to make that hit and then was able to knock that ball out...excellent play. Hopefully, we will get another chance to hit Steve Smith in the mouth some time in the near future.

When has the first two preseason games ever been a reliable predicter of actual team performance? Is not the current poor performance of the team pretty much where we should be at this stage of the off-season with new coaching installs and a kinder gentler training camp (thanks CBA)? Our double field training camp and up tempo has allowed the Phins to get more reps...but, it is still a comp

I definitely agree that having the cameras there adds more pressure. However, pressure can be a good thing during training camp. Wallace caught a 40 yard TD and said something like..."How do like those ankle weights now?" For CJ, I believe that the added pressure just helped us to make the inevitable decision to part ways quicker. And in the long run, If a guy like Hogan can mak

This Hogan guy is interesting. I think we may just keep him...just need to see him in game-time action.

I think that incident had everything to do with his new wife finding a box of condems. She busted CJ for being unfaithful...so he busted her head.

Yes, I forgot about Hartline making it on the field for the first practice. Sounds like he is close to being able to play. So, I would have to adjust my list. It also seems that Marlon Moore is getting some attention from the coaches on the new depth chart and getting Reps that were formerly CJ's.

I'm not convinced that his on the field skill is worthy of roster spot. He had 15 catches from Tommy Brady. We surely can find a WR who can step in and hold on to 15 passes. His only opportunity in preseason looks odd to me. He was open. He had bad footwork and left the ground just as the ball arrived. Poor concentration on a ball that almost hit him in the face mask. Later, he blew it

I'm glad we were able to figure this out much faster than the Patsies were able to. We won't be wasting that roster spot. Knowing that he was on a one strike policy, it's like he was asking to be cut.

The kid is impressive with poise in the pocket and a decisive, mostly accurate release. As we all know, the 3rd preseason game is the only preseason game that has a game plan install and gets plenty of playing time for the starters. Tannehill has a really good shot at getting the start for game 3 if he keeps progessing. Todays practice is a continuation in the right direction. Go Tannehil

115. Trusnik
He might only be a special teamer on our squad....but, the way he played yesterday demands that he get more playing time. He seemed to be always around the ball. Our system will allow the LB's to make plays and Trusnik seemed to be the only bright spot on our under performing defense.

The first PreSeason game is not a good barometer at where this team is at...but, there is certainly plenty to be concerned about. On the positive side: 1) Trusnick 2) Tanehill 3) Wallace 4) Clay 5) Pruit 6) Fasano 7) Egnew 8) R Baker 9) Fields 10)Freeny Negatory: 1) Chad Johnson 2) Vontae Davis & entire secondary 3) Overall bad tackling 4) communication 5) Run Defense

Man, I really want this guy to play well now that he is a Miami Dolphin. But, he just can't keep his mouth and twitter finger shut. I wish he would just concentrate on being a football player. He is so immature mentally that he feels the need to be the center of attention to validate who he his. You would think that coming off his New England experience with an underwelming performanc
