2014 Mock Draft V1.0 I think the top selection will look to upgrade the inside LB, OL, or saftey positions. If Mosley is still on the board...we haven't had this instinctive talent since Zach T. 19)........CJ Mosley ……………… LB ……………… Alabama 50)........Gabe Jackson ……… OG …………… Mississippi State .. (LG) 81)........Brandon Thoma

Both Super Bowl teams have a much weaker GM model then the Phins setup. Carol hired his GM and has final say on personnel decsions. Elway didn't want to be GM (just final say)... But, took the role fully when Xanders departed for his scout role in Detroit...

If Farmer doesn't really want the job then I don't want him to have the job either. I still believe we can add a quality talent evaluator who makes all player personnel decisions.

At this point, it is probably better to have the cap room for any possible free agent signings. After June 1st, the Phins will gain 7 to 9 million of cap room due to the Dansby & Burnett effect. The Dolphins’ rookie pool is the highest in the NFL this year: They have $7,839,986 salary cap dollars to spend on their nine draft picks.

I'm with Mike... I don't get it either. I don't think I'm supposed to. If anyone is offended by that...then it's your problem, not mine.

I'm expecting Martin to get stronger and more experienced. I also don't expect them to schematically leave him on an island. I expect a 265lb TE or a good blocking RB to provide some assistance.

So many questions....so little time. It's going to come down to can this guy rush the passer or not. Cameron Wake can. He will require a extra help in protection. Jordan is the top defensive player in this draft. We got him. The devil does't need an advocate.

Kenan was bypassed by alot of teams...even the beloved Patsies went for a 5th round prospect over him. Doesn't seem a good fit for someone who needs to play all the positions. Swopes is a much better fit. Hope we get him. I would be really hesitant to bash the SEC tackle/guard without seeing him play. After all, Brandon Albert was just a guard.

It is rare for a TE to go that high...but, not unprecedented. It's a pretty good list and not all are freaks. 5th pick... Mike Ditka 9th pick....Rickey Dudley 9th pick....Kyle Brady 13th pick...Tony Gonzalez 14th pick...Bubba Franks 14th pick...Jeremy Shockey 13th pick...Keith Jackson 8th pick.....Paul Bergmann 12th pick...Tony Hunter 7th pick.....Junior Miller 13th pick...Kelle

I do think that Jerry ...with his size... is a better fit at RT. It will be interesting to see if he is moved back to Tackle like some are suggesting.

I would expect Austin to play multiple positions...not meerly be a slot receiver.

If we stay at 12... I believe we will select a receiver or DB. Austin would be in the rotation right away and also contribute on special teams. The attractive thing about Austin is that he scores alot of TD's. His size is the only real negative. Don't want him going over the middle.

Mike Wallace Brandon Gibson Dustin Keller Dannell Ellerbe Philip Wheeler Matt Moore Brian Hartline Chris Clemons We have been aggressive...but, these moves certainly do not have to be cap killers for the future if we continue to draft well.

We haven't been this aggressive in free agency in a long time. We haven't been able to. We normally pick through the scraps We also now have the ability to continue to build through the draft. With the extra picks, we have the ability to continue to be aggressive and add the right kind of talent.

For a Mid-round receiver...I expect them to seriously look at the Texas Aggie Ryan Swopes. He's probably not a #1 guy, but very similar to Hartline, but with more experience with our QB. We have to draft a speed guy (force defense to cover whole field) who can catch, play all the positions (x,y,& z), run all the routes, and has enough size to block. Piece of cake.

I think he will move up the board and should be available. If our greatest problem is redzone & third down conversions...then we select the player that has the greatest potential to solve that problem. We take the best player that makes us a better team.

That back shoulder throw to Rishard Matthews at the 2 yard line in those weather conditions sealed it for me. Tannehill can make great throws. He needs more weapons who can make great catches.
