the most important thing in this lost season is RT's development. Without receivers who know what they are doing, can get open, and actually catch, RT could be in for a season that hurts his long term development. So for the WR/TE position at least, I have no problem picking up "progress stopping" vets---first, because there is no one on the team who's progress they can stop since we got nothing, and second without them it is the QB's progress who will be stopped

Granted. In this case there's not a ton of talent @WR to develop.

Far more important to give Thill a few relaible weapons to work with because its going to be a challanging year based on the dull knives he has in the kitchen.

dolphan 1976, what's wrong with Moore?

WHy have an injured Garrard instead of a healthy Moore?

Remember last season?

What would have happened to us LAST YEAR, had we NOT had Moore when Henne went down?

We went like 6-3 under Moore.

Some people get so discontent with the lack of perfection that they let the perfect become the enemy of the good.

And we really don't know about Garrard. He had good seasons but he had bad seasons too!

But depends on what you're playing for.

If we are playing to do our best, that's one thing.

If you are playing for next years draft, cut Moore and take Garrard.

If RT goes down, then you'll get to see how Devlin can play because Garrard will be injured and Moore will be cut.

ChyrenB I was referring to bringing in vet talent in general to serve as mentors not chosing any specific player Moore/Garrard.

Vets provide the been there done that view and if they are good they will share that info with the young players without breaking the bank ex: Rice - TO in San Fran.

I would be open to bringing in Gaffney to serve as an trusted outlet for Tannehill while sharing his tricks of the trade with some younger recievers.

Obviously we want to provide a majority of playing time to our young players allowing them to develop since this team is in rebuilding mode.

This gives the staff time to review our young talent and how they are progressing throughout the year.

"The Dolphins are clearly desperate for help at receiver and cornerback. Since Friday the Dolphins have worked out four receivers (Jabar Gaffney, Donte Stallworth, Mike Sims Walker, and Brian Tyms."

They have at least brought him in to look at him.

Oh, 1976, I thought you were talking about having Garrard instead of Matt Moore. I missed that you were talking about receivers like Jabbar Gabney and Marlon Moore.

Wonder wy there is no word yet on any of these tryouts? Perhapsd they don't think anyone not yet signed can be ready for Houston, but seems like we would have heard somehting by now?

I think another experienced WR would help

As Ireland said on Hard Knocks, we have a bunch of 4 and 5's, we need someone to step up into 2 and 3's... The guy's that are out there on the waiver wire, are not really any better then 4 and 5's, which is what we already have in place.

I have to agree with getting rid of all the old players. We are rebuilding , so just let the young players get playing time and develop.

Let's not forget we're getting Hartline back and added A. Armstrong, if healthy I could see replacing Nannee with Gaffney......IF HEALTHY

I agree but they seem to be in love with Legadu.

Hartline
Bess
Gaffney
Armstrong
Moore
Mathews

Looks a whole lot better.

Here's to hartline turning into Jordy Nelson... smileys with beer
