Smith actually may be the better prospect at this stage. I was really skeptical of his play last year...but, as I watched him make quick decisions and get rid of the ball to the right place on time...I actually came away impressed. Especially, the fact that he only threw 5 INT's all season. Flynn had 5 INT's w/ 2 starts. This certainly is the main red flag at this stage of his development

It looks like his signing is very close. They wouldn't put his visit on the official Dolphins website if it wasn't a significant attempt to sign him right now. On a side note, we could have drafted Flynn 4 years ago...but, we selected Lex Hillard instead. Just sayin.

The Dolphins aren't "low balling" anyone. We just don't have the cap room to high ball. We certainly better not offer Flynn a contract that would cripple this team for years to come. We will likely offer him a contract in the mid-range...which would be incredibly reasonable for both sides.

Mr. Anderson is likely using us to get a better deal with the Patsies. However, I'm sure the Patsies are looking to upgrade the position in the first round if a guy falls to their draft spot. IMO, we are very likely to draft a pass rusher in the first round if we nail down the Flynn addition at QB.

What a difference a day makes. Ireland did a great job in getting two third round picks for this turd.

Going back to a base 4-3 does not mean that we will not line up with multiple fronts. Soliai could certainly play in both formations. He might even be better lining up over the guard. Wilfork certainly played in a ton of 4-3 formations this year. It's way too soon to jump to any conclusions.

Not really. It took Fisher forever to decide...so, the owner/QB situation must have been closer than most are willing to believe.

It should not be a surprise to anyone. When you fire a head coach, the new guy always gets to bring in his own staff. Although, sometimes you don't get a complete turnover...it is to be expected. We are starting from scratch as soon as we can find the next head coach. And I'm anxious for them to get it done because we have a lot of work to do in the off-season.

It's unusual to not know the terms of this trade by now. I can't find any info on what which draft pick or picks we gave up. If anyone has the time to research or contact one of our faithful beat reportors...go for it. Hopefully, we didn't give up anything higher than a 3rd.

While I clearly believe that Blackmon is the best reciever in this draft... I also think he will be a top 5 pick. Floyd should be available where we are drafting and I don't really see a TE or RT that could have the same impact as Floyd. What really stands out with Floyd is his ability in the redzone and his body control to get in position to go get the ball. If he has overcome his al

Interesting coincidence.... 316 yards 31.6 yards per completion 10 completions (biblical number for completeness) - (or ten commandments)

All the Pros picked against Denver today. Tebow certainly is someone demands attention. I wouldn't have watched this game today if it wasn't to see how Tebow would play against one of the top Defenses in the NFL. Now, the Patsies have a pathetic defense. It should be interesting if see if Denver will now take a more aggressive approach on offense. I think having John Elway tell the guy t

The Patsies just went out and hired the guy who drafted Tebow. I think they should be genuinly concerned.

Dolphins fans suck at predicting games. Tebow has the last word today. I respect the way he played the game today and who he is.

I seriously doubt this is all about the QB situation. If it is...then he is a total wimp. It is normally about control. The truth about Cowher is that is he simply is not interested in coaching ANY team. Gruden is certainly a QB fanatic...but, the he didn't choose Tampa Bay because of Brad Johnson. Fisher's dream job is not Miami or St Louis. But, he may prefer to be in the NFC.

Marvez calls Fisher "Tony Sparano with a mustache"... Which begs the questions: 1) What is Fisher's philosophy? 2) Will he bring an exciting pedal to the metal approach that the fans demand? 3) How does he differ from Sparano?

He should be a top 5 pick. He is a touchdown machine...had even a better year the previous season. I would love for us to add this guy.

I'm more impressed w/ Weeden right now. Very quick release. Moves well in the pocket under pressure. Has a bigtime arm. For the record, Weeden is 28 years old and will be 28 years old at the beginning of next NFL season.

Actually, we may still get the 8th pick --- which was our position before this game --- It comes down to a coin flip between us and Carolina for the 8th draft pick.

We took way too long to get the ball to Devone Bess. Hopefully, his injury is not too serious. Oh yea, and Mike Westoff really should be wearing a bra out there.

I was expecting the Matt Flynn thread. Seems like a quality player. Or is the Green Bay system that good?
