JC--where is this forum going...throwing out latin terms now? I'll need to put on my smoking jacket and sit beside the fireplace with Ole Yeller. LOL If there were two efforts at CPR...I have to wonder whether the first wasn't really an arrest but simply an episode of vasovagal syncope. Lots of people around the world faint for various reasons, however, one of those possible triggers is sudden

My wife was a cardio-pulmonary RN and as she viewed the behavior of Hamlin, she said "he went into arrest, he's in trouble. Code Blue!" She was right. Calling the game was the right thing to do. I too hope that resuscitation wasn't delayed and that 1) Hamlin survives and 2) he survives without any brain damage. Everyone who watched the going's on where in shock. The sportscasters wh

This forum used to be alive with participants, today, it seems there are only a few die hards that post on a regular basis. What happened? Did people lose interest in our Dolphins? Was it because all of the poor play and losing, the constant changing of the "guard," the constant infusion of new inexperienced blood with the hopes of turning the team around? Have people abandoned the

How to build a successful NFL football team? Should be the title of a good reference book. If there's one out there, clearly the Dolphins haven't read it. I am tired of the "any given Sunday" mentality. That's not the composition of a winning attitude. But you know what, a winning attitude is different from having a cocky attitude and I don't see our Dolphins coaches or players dis

As I type, the game is winding down. The Dolphins will lose. Too many injuries, too many third stringers playing results in a typical let down and loss. Tua, Brigdewater and Thompson--none capable for many reasons. Another disappointing season is the bottom line. JC you are already naming the QB and out scenario as the "Tua."

I just heard about the missing players today. It sure doesn't look promising. Moreover, Bridgewater has never faced the Patriots in 77 NFL ball games--not sure that means anything in the big picture. Defense is the key in this game, IMO. If we can stop drives so we get the ball more often...there's a chance. Since I am thinking TEs, Gesicki needs to be traded for a TE that is bigger and c

Happy New Year everyone. Today, we can celebrate more with a big win over the Patriots. Bridgewater is slated to start and Bill B has been looking at his weaknesses to prevent him from having a decent day throwing the ball (I am sure of it). If our Defense can stop the Patriots from getting 1st downs, the offense has a chance of winning. The use of the ground game is very important, IMO. If w

The Dolphins are "up the creek" without a paddle again. It is a seasonal event. It can be counted on like the full moon each month. We hire a HC with no or limited experience and he hires his crew with limited experience too. We keep looking for a guy like Don Shula who understood the game, knew how to train players, knew what coaches were top notch and hired them and so on. Don Shula's

Noon update (12/28/22 at 12:18 pm): Our local TV just reported that McDaniel indicated that Tua did have a concussion. Apparently concussion symptoms came up the following day? Hmmm. Listening to McDaniel tests the listener on what the hell he is saying. From what I could tell, Tua only thinks about the day he is in. This is what McDaniel stated--can't make this up. Maybe there will be more inf

Hooligan2, yes it does look like "Ground Hog Day" again for this team with a different cast of coaches.

Today the NFL Doc sees nothing in the game play that would have triggered concussion protocol. There is one play when the back of his head hits the ground. Could that be it? Questions and opinions are all over the place. Some opine that is why Tua played crappy during the second half. I think not. There's been a pattern for weeks now--play calling for one. Defense not adjusting, another, e

"this guy is just not cut out for the NFL." Treasure Agree. Many years ago I injured my thumb in judo class--thought it was broken--it wasn't. However, there was a weakness in that thumb and a few years later I broke it moving a heavy piece of lumber. It had been weakened. The fracture healed but...it's never been reliable since that time and I favored doing things that require

Dismal. I finally watched the game and ... is there a pattern forming? It seems opponents continue to make adjustments and we continue to try to apply the same plays failing to see the adjustments made to counter those plays. The second half...incredible miscues, one after the others on offense. The D doesn't adjust any better than the play calling on offense. The D just could not cover again.

First off, Merry Christmas to all. Everybody have a holly, jolly Christmas with family and friends. Today's big game is the Packers with aging Aaron Rogers against our very hopeful Dolphins. Hopeful in terms that we can stay alive in the run for the play offs. To me, it's a make or break it day for the team. Secondly, as I will not be near my computer this afternoon, I'll record the game a

On my first post in this thread I said in part: "the team that plays in lousy weather the most (Bills) has a big edge tonight." That premonition sure turned out to be true. Keeping Josh Allen under watch so that he would not break free for large running gains failed big time. His extra efforts made the difference in my opinion. On the other hand, our team is lacking that person w

Scoring may be a big problem for both teams with bad weather. However, the team that plays in lousy weather the most (Bills) has a big edge tonight. The secondary needs to stay close to the receivers and the LBs need to watch for QB breaks for runs. Good luck! Go Dolphins--play with pride and pursuit.

I read a couple of articles in the Miami Herald and according to the paper, the Dolphins don't play well in the cold, will face 30 mph winds, 20+ degree temperatures with the possibility of snow. That's enough weather for Bills fans to move to balmy South Florida. Also, it appears we have no Safeties. Whoever is placed in that "temporary" position will likely be lost and confused o

Our linebackers in general can't cope with a good TE or slot receiver, nor can they contain a fast or big QB that has some speed. Just my observations. That being stated, the D is going to have its hands full coping with the Bills. If the weather is somewhat inclement, aside from being Buffalo cold, our fair weather team is up against it, big time. Sad to say, I am not very optimistic.

Our middle linebacker (I forget his name #52) is very good on working running plays. He hits very hard. However, he is too slow and can't stay with any receiver. He is anywhere between 3-5 yards behind the receiver. He needs to be relegated to obvious running plays. A fleet footed linebacker needs to be in there. For several games the guys in the booth noticed how empty the center of the fiel

Another loss. The game plan was wrong trying to throw into the center of the field. The Chargers played tight on our receivers and bumped them often to slow them down. Continuing to try to throw to them in the center of the field was stupid. Why not simply go to down and outs and play a little 2-minute type drills to move the ball down the field. This is mostly on McDaniels who calls the play

It's 17-7 at the half and the Dolphins have shown little defense in the secondary and have had no offense to speak of. The offensive strategy needs to change as the Chargers have the Dolphins' offense figured out. The secondary can't cover anyone. Howard is too far away covering his receiver and is steps behind. Our LBs can't cover at all it seems. Pressure by the D just allows Herbert to dodg

What's going on? Chargers are covering tight and the center of the field is currently off limits for our receivers. No running game yet. C'mon guys...let's make a few plays--catches would be nice.

Dolphins face the Chargers on NBC's Sunday Night Football. This is yet another big chance for the Dolphins to be seen playing well and trying to raise its image and reputation as a competitive team. This is a game I am looking forward to tonight. Tua will be on stage for this big game and we can only believe that he will be on spot-on. Same holds true with all players. After last week's poor

WE GOT OUR BUTTS KICKED! 33-17. Tua was absolutely horrendous--piss-poor the entire game. Our D is lacking. Our replacement safeties don't aggressively come in on a run play and miss tackles in the field. The 49ers have a good back up QB. He made no mistakes and was very cool and collected. Plays were designed well for him. McCafferey and Nick Bosa are studs. The 49ers outplayed us e

Piss-poor play by Tua today!!!! The D is been on the field way too much. The rookie QB of the 49ers looks like a champ. Very disappointing offensive performance...doesn't say enough. It will be a miracle for us to win this game. It's 23-10.

No body here? The D has no answer on RB McCaffrey. D has too many missed tackles and Dolphins offense isn't clicking at all right now. Can't tell if it's the pressure/fear of getting hit by Bosa or what. Tua is way off on his throws--throwing high. Tua needs to get his RB in the game with short passes to them to gains some confidence and settle down. The score is 49ers 17, Dolphins 10 at h

After watching Tua with a decent line working with him so passes could be made and completed in the first half, the loss of Armstead was like throwing ball bearing into a gear set that altered the smooth running of the machine. Subs aren't able to perform anywhere the level they should which provides the obvious that one minor injury plays havoc with offensive production. So...the big test fo
