Bridgewater knocked out of the game on the first play....Thompson in at QB. Too many injured will make this a very long afternoon. Already too many penalties.

Howard is out so the secondary is not what it should be. Bridgewater has had reps and plenty of time to study for this game. As always I am hopeful the team on the field has enough to win this game. Run the ball and then throw it. Gesicki has to be more involved in moving the ball. I don't buy the coach's "he's doing what we want him to do" comments. He's a playmaker and needs to be in

Looking at Tua's injury track record (college and now) one can easily see that he is susceptible to injury. Some people, not based on sheer size or bone structure, can endure more physical punishment than others of the same size, weight and athletic level. We see that Tua can't "take many punches," so to speak, and is likely, IMO, to get hurt again should he return to play this season.

The latest new is that Tua is out indefinitely. Coach isn't going to risk anything. Bridgewater is now the QB.

Tua's talent doesn't matter. He is not made of stone, seems to be injury prone and somewhat fragile. Thursday night's head injury may force him to quit the game. One's health is more important than anything. That may be hard for a young athletic man to fully comprehend.

Several of the Bengals players were overachieving in their tackling to show how tough they are. This led to the hard (and unnecessary) slam on Tua that knocked him silly. Toughness is part of the game, but slamming a guy down on the turf...that's BS. Those minutes...all of us watching were wondering...how bad is this damage? Not just because it was likely to force in Bridgewater, but how seriousl

Game day came quick this time. A team of Dolphins (whoever will actually play) take on the Bengals tonight in Cincinnati. Tua is supposed to play despite injuries to his back and ankle and we can only hope that neither injury stifles his throwing accuracy and makes him immobile. The O-line must work hard to protect him and I suggest (for what that is worth) to pound the ball on the ground as much

In the original King Kong movie (1933), at the end where Kong is laying dead in the street character Carl Denham (Robert Armstrong) states: Oh, no it wasn't the airplanes, it was beauty killed the beast." Well, our Dolphins won the game, but it was the heat of the day, that killed this beast! Yes, the Bills' foe was larger than life, it was the excruciating South Florida heat and humidity

This is going to be tough. Josh Allen is a specimen. His size and mobility, plus passing ability makes him very tough to defend. I have fingers crossed that we can make it close to the end. Go Dolphins!

Today, the team has an extremely formidable opponent--the Bills. The secondary needs to step up their defensive play otherwise it will be a long day. The Bills' defense is good so it will be another challenge for the passing and running game. If we can run--we will be able to pass successfully--just my opinion. Game begins around 1pm. Go Dolphins!

2nd Half? What a change in behavior. The Dolphins comeback is going to be on the highlight reel. What a miraculous change of events and sudden upgrade in gameplay. Amazing Dolphins Victory!

What fantastic plays by the Ravens--they look unstoppable. They set the tone on the first play of the game. Wow. Oh wait...I am a Dolphins fan...we look like a second rate JV team. Outclassed at QB...outclassed in the secondary. The Fins are on the wrong side of a blow out.

Week 2 of 2022; game 2 for the Dolphins. We visit Baltimore today and face Lamar Jackson. That's always exciting. We have ability to score points; want to see a strong ground game this week. We need it to keep the Ravens wondering. GO DOLPHINS!! Colonel

You can adapt TC. I feel your inflation pain. Everything is off the chart making life more difficult for retirees like me. "Pinch a Penny" is not just a pool store, it's become a way of life for millions of Americans across the country. BTW, watch your "6".

"Clunky!" Agree. Still lots to work on to iron things out. Tua making poor decision "almost" leading to a terrible interception would have changed the game. I sense this is a habit that resurfaces when Tua is under great pressure (his own) and defensive push by opponent. That is something he needs to correct. Overall, starting with a win is fantastic--a much needed change.

Treasure, nothing stays the same. While it seems the team has been lost in space for 20 years, each iteration was different although the disappoint was the same. Our family's change too. Our eldest is almost 48 and our youngest is 37. They have their own family and it's grand just to get them all together once in a while. Those are memories being made too. The boys don't kid one another like they

Well, it seems like it took forever to get to the first game of the 2022 season. We appear to have a good group of players and a new coach. The best to all players, assistant coaches and our new HC. Game starts at 1pm. Go Dolphins! Beat the Patriots. Colonel

Well, tonight begins the 2022 NFL draft. I plan to watch it even though we have nothing to do with the first round selects this go round. There has to be some drama that may be entertaining. Who knows. (posted this in the other thread by accident)

Life will go on without many picks in the upcoming draft. We now have a very strong team on paper. Now, it all must gel so we can finally win our division in 2022. Go Dolphins.

There is often a discrepancy between "doing" and "teaching." Not all those that can really do something well can teach or mentor others to develop those skills. Similarly, one who excels at teaching may not be able to do what he describes to be done himself. With this group of former players on board to instruct, I suspect most will be able to provide worthwhile instr

TC-- Growing up in Queens I was active in PAL. My dad wasn't in law enforcement but had numerous detective friends that often came to our house to play cards and eat pizza. That was in the late '50s and early '60s. Our neighborhood, mostly Irish heritage, were baseball was king and Dads were tall NYPD cops. Us kids learned to be respectful of policemen...they were good people and had nice fam

I like Stafford and Burrows. Hard to pick sides in this one. Both have great arms.... Good luck to both teams. I will be satisfied to see a good ball game.

The only thing that matters is if McDaniels is organized, has a good head on his shoulders, is football smart, works well with others, is a strong motivator, and can hire assistant coaches with the same coaching qualities and traits for what they are hired to do. If this guy was from Mars or Planet X from another solar system, far far away, the only thing that matters is what I've suggested

Another "rookie" HC hiring. It is clearly a wonderful opportunity for this young coach and he will try to make the most of it. His limitations will be Grier and Ross on what he can and can't do or influence to get done. Will it be,"let's give the kid a chance but keep a close reign on what he does and thinks" or will it be "let this kid fly and see where he takes the team

Is all of what is being alleged possible? It sure is. Are the allegations difficult to prove--probably. Will this get to court and be tried? Probably. Will the Dolphins be a better team this coming 2022 season? Probably not. Will this scandalous black eye make it more difficult to land a competent HC that can hire good assistants? I think everyone knows that one--YES. Will loyal Dolphins fans b

Well, well. Tom Brady retires. The NFL and football fans will miss seeing him play. Amazing career. He goes out following a terrific last season. If you have to call it quits, that's the best way to do it--on a high note.
