Goodell was so concerned with the supposed dirty hits last week that he made sure defenders knew that suspensions were going to be handed out for illegal hits (ironically, only one of the three hits that was the subject matter of this new league crackdown was arguably dirty). Now, he has a referee who clearly either blew a critical call due to incompetence, or had other reasons for ruling the wa

I agree about the effectiveness of the running game. When I saw the game on Sunday, I knew that we were running well, but it was actually a lot better than I remembered. In plain truth, we were dominating them at the line of scrimmage for the most part. It made me think that we probably should have run even more than we did. Marshall or no Marshall, the Fins have to run the ball to be successfu

I'll admit, I'm just a fan. I have no delusions of knowing more than coaches at the NFL level. But, on 3rd down and 6, we run the wildcat; with Ronny going up the middle for a loss? Got to tell you, that was an odd call by Henning. We have a lot of problems that need correcting (i.e. special teams, defensing the run... etc.) but the play calling has been particularly peculiar so far this year.

I'm not saying that special teams lost us the game, but they sure didn't help matters. We really should never have gotten rid of Westoff. We were consistently good when he was in charge. Another Wannstedt personnel decision that makes no sense. However, we're 2-1, the season is young, Henne played quite well, we are a young team on defense and should get better with time, and getting Jerry and

I may be in the minority here, but enough with discussions of class or no class. I want the Dolphins to win a Lombardi trophy while I'm still young enough to enjoy it as a fan. Nice guys finish last. Plus, I don't remember Taylor showing all that much loyalty to the Fins when he was Dancing with the Stars and didn't want to show up to training camp. As far as I'm concerned, his legacy was stai

What makes me happy about it is he's clearly an upgrade over Pasqualoni. I also like the fact that the decision was made to replace a coordinator who wasn't getting the job done. I'm old enough to remember the stench that was Tom Olivadotti... and Chuck Studley. www.finsfootball.blogspot.com

Gailey isn't terrible... just incredibly average... I thought he was a decent offensive coordinator for us. Bottom line, the Bills weren't going to spend a bunch of money on any of the big names... they went with someone they got cheap... and who is fairly competent. That said, I can't imagine their fans are particularly happy with the hire. www.finsfootball.blogspot.com

I'm happy with this hire. First of all, kind of nice to have a coordinator under the age of 70.... Secondly, the guy is very accomplished and has coached some very good players. He is completely versed in running a 3-4 defense. All things point to his being a significant upgrade over Pasqualoni. www.finsfootball.blogspot.com

I have to also add, obviously the coaches didn't do their job this past week. This team was not ready to play. Neither side of the ball looks remotely in sync. One of the most embarrassing performances I've seen in a long time.

Come April, we can draft the best available player because there's not one position that can't be upgraded on this team. I have to admit, I thought we were farther along than this. Obviously, I was mistaken. This is a very flawed team. Worst example of tackling I've ever seen.

The NFL continues to amaze me. How on earth you could fine Camarillo $5K for a play that shouldn't have been a penalty in the first place. What a joke. Personally, I think the NFL has taken a huge step backward since Goodell took over. Just another example of it.

Sparano needs to overrule Henning when he comes up with brain fart like the Bess end around. Yeah, have your slowest receiver run the end around when Henne is slicing and dicing their defense.

Down by 2 points, we could still run the ball occasionally... hmm...

Maybe Pasqualoni thinks it's illegal to cover Welker?

Can you imagine how good Henne will be when he has better receivers and one extra down to get a first down (ie when we stop the Pat White crap).

We're paying the price for starting two rookie corners... hopefully, we will reap the benefits in the future...

We may also need to look at center... Grove has been ok this year but seems to get hurt a lot. Berger doing ok today but is more a stop gap player.

Interception notwithstanding, Henne is impressive. Looks very much in command for a second year.

I just hope we've seen the last of Pat White today. I can't stomach it anymore.

I just don't understand putting pat white in any more. More negative plays than positive. Drive killers.

What I do like about what Parcells et al. are doing is not giving away draft picks. The draft is a numbers game. The more picks you have, the more chances to strike gold ala Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor. Past regimes gave away draft picks like there was no tomorrow. Better teams hoard them because the more you have, the more likely it is that you'll find some gems in the later rounds. I agre

I am as disappointed as anyone about how the season has gone. A win against the lowly bills would have set up this weekend as a showdown for first place. But, I guess we should have some perspective. Since Parcells, Ireland, and Sparano have come on board, we went from 1-15 to 11-5, and 5-6 this year. If we look at Sean Payton's record with the Saints (who might be the best team in the league

Play calling is getting more and more perplexing. The pass out of the wild cat was unbelievably ill conceived. You're running the ball literally at will. You're inside the 5 yard line and you have your tail back throw the ball? Henning sometimes outsmarts himself.
