I'm not saying that special teams lost us the game, but they sure didn't help matters. We really should never have gotten rid of Westoff. We were consistently good when he was in charge. Another Wannstedt personnel decision that makes no sense. However, we're 2-1, the season is young, Henne played quite well, we are a young team on defense and should get better with time, and getting Jerry and Odrick (and yes, even Crowder) back will help. I'm still optimistic.

Wannsstedt didn't do one dam good thing for this franchise. The only thing he did was make it worse.

Actually, special teams DID cost us the game. That blocked punt was the difference. Our coverage on kickoffs was also poor, as usual.

We NEED Crowder back. Dobbins is a major liability against the run. Carpenter only plays on obvious passing downs. Jerry would have opened up more running lanes than McQuistan did. Odrick would have helped with pressure on Sanchez.

This game showed us we still have some work to do, but I'm optimistic as well.
