If they want to help Rex, they need to lock the mini bar and hide the key.

I think Starks may be a real possibility for us at nose tackle. He's about the same height and weight as Ferguson. He's more athletic than Ferguson. He's young, and could solve our long term problem nose tackle wise. I'd hate to lose him as a defensive end, but if he can develop into a solid nose tackle, we have greater depth at end... ie Merling.

After the second Miami win over the jets, he said that he'd rather be in their own locker room because they had a better record than the Fins. Whose locker room would you rather be in now, Rex?

1384. Smilie..
Looks like he's out for Tampa game (and possibly longer). This hurts because he's been probably our most consistent lineman.. and the line in general has been fairly inconsistent. Garner and Murtha seem likely to step in... anyone know anything about either of these guys that will make me less nervous about possibly losing Smilie for an extended period of time?

Give me an Oronde Gadsden type over a Ted Ginn type any day of the week. Gadsden was ponderously slow. Painfully slow. But he was absolutely clutch when the game was on the line. Fourth quarter, hurry up offense, down by 6, 4th down and 10.... who do you want? As slow as Gadsden was (and God was he ever slow), he would've made that catch yesterday. No offense to Ginn at all, but he is what he

The two receivers that I think have shown themselves most reliable this year are Hartline and Camarillo. Now, that's damning them with faint praise because Ginn has been awful and Bess scares me every time I see him handling the ball this year. I can only imagine how ineffective Patrick Turner must be in practice for him not to push ahead of one of these receivers on the depth chart. Like I sa

I absolutely agree. Having White in the game with Henne opens up some interesting match up problems for defenses. Also, I'm all for using Ronnie in the wildcat at certain times... but at the same time, I would like to give Henne as much opportunity to grow as a QB as possible.

I don't think we could've signed him. KC claimed him off waivers and was ahead of us because of their worse record. It was a moot point.

I agree with Realist. In the clutch, I'd rather have a slower receiver in the game with better hands, then a fast receiver with suspect hands. I know that Camarillo is not near a pro bowl caliber WR, but at least he does make the occasional great catch. How about that last grab in garbage time. Yeah, no pressure cause the game was done, but still a highlight reel catch.

I think the coaching staff may be missing the bigger picture. We have, at least in my opinion, the best prospect at QB that we've had since.... well a very long time.... I can't help but think that his development is being slowed by the constant changes at QB, whether Ronnie or Pat White. As much of a homer as I am.. I know we're not winning a championship this year. Our ability to win one in

Matt Cassel... The guy had a decent year throwing to Moss and Welker... and he was anointed a franchise QB? I think the Broncos are better off with Orton...

Here's to an injury free game on both sides... (with a Dolphin win of course..lol) Nice to have a fan from another team who is cordial and respectful (which is the complete opposite of a typical jet fan). There's going to be some incredible offensive talent on the field with the likes of Ronnie, Ricky, Brees, Colston et al... It would be nice if the two teams could meet again in Miami in Feb, hu

The nicest thing I can say about Ryan is that he's just slightly less revolting than his old man. Perfect guy to be the jet coach, though. Fat, ugly, slovenly, big mouth... just like their fans. Did any of you guys get a load of the jet fan with the straw hat and the pom poms? I didn't think it was possible, but he was uglier than that fat Fireman Ed guy who's so proud that he learned how to

I was at the buffalo game and then watched the game again on tivo. I was surprised to not see Pennington at the game. I would've figured he'd be right there lending his experience and eyes for Henne's benefit. Did I just miss him or was there a reason he wasn't there?

As long as we beat the vile, disgusting, nasty, revolting, repugnant jets, I don't care if they wear pink uniforms... As much as I've always hated the jets, I think now that they have that overweight, bigmouth, buffoon of coach (who actually might be more annoying than his old man if that's possible), I hate them even more.

Cutting him is certainly out of the question. Trading him makes no sense because we wouldn't get much in the way of compensation. Benching him yet? No. I certainly wouldn't rule it out if he goes another 2 or 3 games with minimal catches (especially if those minimal catches are in conjunction with dropped balls). I think the frustration with Ginn stems from who picked him (Cameron) and how h

My concern with Henne playing is that in my opinion (and some may disagree with me), the offensive line has been inconsistent at best. Young QB + porous offensive line = problems. Quite frankly, how well or badly that Henne plays is as much dependent on our highly paid offensive line earning their salaries as it is Henne's performance. Defense playing better on third down would help too.

I will never admit that Brady is anything but an overrated, over fawned upon, effeminate low life who happened to play for a team that cheated it's way to championships, and who will forever be remembered by me as being the qb who went 18-1, and who will never reside in Perfectville with Bob, Mercury, Larry, Don and company. Glad to get that off my chest. I feel better.

Realist, I agree that Chad limits our offense and that there are certain passing plays that we won't have in our arsenal because of his physical limitations. That said, I don't think Henne is a realistic option, at least yet. He's had his moments, but he doesn't seem to be particularly mobile and tends to hold onto to the ball at times. Honestly, as ugly as the game was yesterday (and it wa

Pennington didn't play well... true enough... but, he didn't have a whole lot of time to throw. Offensive line is making too much money to play like that. If I'm pointing fingers, I'm pointing them at our o line.

In my opinion, the problem wasn't Ronnie... it was putrid blocking from our offensive line. The blocking was positively putrid (not to mention all the turnovers). Defense played well enough to win. If you're going to lay an egg, its better to do it against an NFC team on the road. We need to take care of business at home and particularly against division rivals. It's a long season and we'll se

Parcells reporting to Peterson would be analogous to Tiger Wooods reporting to Charles Barkley on the finer points of competitive golf. Hopefully this is much ado about nothing, but if Ross chases away Bill Parcells for the likes of Carl Peterson, it will prove that even a total moron can become a billionaire. Right now, the Dolphins greatest asset and selling point is Bill Parcells. It isn't J

If Stephen Ross is a good business man, I would ask him what the Dolphins are worth with Bill Parcells as GM versus what they would be worth with Carl Peterson in charge. Hopefully, his friendship with Peterson doesn't cloud his common sense. Peterson would be a disaster.

I will always have some degree of negativity for Huzienga for having made the worst hire in the history of the Miami Dolphins. Dave Wannstedt set this ball club back years with bad drafts, boneheaded trades, and clueless personnel decisions. I don't care that Jimmy recommended him. Wannstedt had a history of being a franchise killer (see Chicago Bears). I never understood the hire and will al

Is it my imagination or does the defense look like they're in slow motion? I'd check to see if KC drugged the team's gatorade.

Oh, I agree that the defense has stunk... but we could've been up by 10 going into the half... instead of down by 4. Boneheaded call any way you look at it.

much of the blame will be on Dan Henning. That play call on 4th down makes it look like he bet on the chiefs. Game changing gaffe which may be largely responsible for ending our season. I hope not.

1409. Ted Ginn
I'm not a Ginn basher, but at the same time didn't think he was worth a number 9 overall pick either. I think it might be worth seeing if someone like Brandon London is a better compliment to Bess. What I liked about Ginn early in the year was he had good hands. That said, there have been too many drops in crucial circumstances lately for my liking. If we're experimenting with Johnson at cent

Am I correct in concluding that if both Miami and the jests win next week, the pats are eliminated from the division championship?
