Miami needs a deep threat, so who would replace him? Not Parker. Not Carroo. Not Landry. There is no one on the team to replace him. With so many holes to fill, it doesn't make sense to spend a high draft pick on a WR. There is chemistry between Tannehill and Stills which is very important; it's not like when Wallace was in Miami. That said, I'd be okay with a cheaper Free Agent as long as they c

I've been saying over and over that all of Philbin's o-line from last season should be replaced. The o-line (as a single unit) has been pathetic no matter who Philbin put in there. So, against Atlanta they replace Thomas with Tunsil, Pouncey with Steen, and Turner (or ?) with Bushrod and in the very first game Tannehill actually gets some pass protection. I may be wrong, but I believe that Tun

Everyone can see that the line

I disagree! Tannehill, IMO, doesn't have "it" so there's no way that he'll be a great QB. He takes WAY too many sack

The Philbin regime was a complete disaster for this team. Not only did the team suck, but they have no clue just how good (or not) many of their players really are because of bad coaching/playcalling and poor talent evaluation. Does Tannehill deserve that big contract? No one knows, because Philbin and the Front Office failed to give him a decent o-line for the past 3 seasons, and Lazor's pla

The sad thing is that everyone knew several positions on the o-line needed upgrading heading into the 2014 season, and all they did was sign a few scrubs and draft James.

While Philbin may be right about not wanting Tannehill, if true IMO this proves that he was clueless as a Head Coach. If I'm the HC and I don't like/trust my QB, we're going to run the ball, and then run some more. We're going to get big strong o-linemen and keep running the ball until I get a new QB. But not Philbin. He had his perfect system in his neat little binder, and there was no deviating

I just hope they get a Coach who wants a tough, physical team that doesn't run a silly college offense.

True, but nothing will get better until EVERYTHING that Philbin did to this team is undone. Lazor needs to go, and both the entire offense and defense need to be replaced. The Front Office needs to go too; there were HUGE holes on this

I'll consider believing if he can beat the Pats. This team has a recent history of usually doing well defensively against NE and slowing down Brady and their offense. Miami normally loses because their offense has been allergic to the end zone. Sparano had the defense to win, but no playmakers on offense thanks to that moron Ireland. Philbin and Coyle ran the defense into the toilet, and Philbin'

Philbin has no clue when it comes to recognizing o-line talent, which is why after 4 years he still has no o-line! And, he used to be an o-line coach... how did he keep his job?

Can't say whether it's true or not, but I've read where Coyle is lining guys up in positions that negatively affect their abilitiy to make plays. We've all seen how he uses McCain on the outside even though he's a slot corner and has the CBs play 8-10 yards off the WRs at the line. The defense has regressed every year under Coyle, and Philbin is clueless.

Yeah, it's a real shame that Philbin doesn't believe in a power running game... it seems to work just fine. As far as stopping the run, Philbin inherited a Top 5 rushing defense, and look what he did to it!

Tannehill seems to be a system QB in a crappy system. IMO, he doesn't have "it" and never will. I actually prefer Henne over Tannehill.

Philbin needs to go, as well as Lazor with his offense and Coyle with his defense. Miami needs to be a tough physical team with an offense that can both run the ball down an opponent's throat and use the ENTIRE field in the passing game.

I've never liked Philbin and what he wanted to do on both offense and defense. (Evidently I was correct since Philbin has ruined this team!) I was never a big Tannehill fan. I thought that maybe with a new coaching staff and a real o-line he would improve. But, I never thought that he had "it" and it looks like he's a "system" QB in a short pass only system that sucks. If I we

I would rather have Sparano than Philbin. I'm not suggesting that they hire Tony, but IMO Sparano with a decent OC and Hickey would be a major improvement over Philbin.

Ever since Philbin was hired, this team almost always starts out sluggish on offense; sometimes not even scoring until nearly half-time. The defense held GB to just 10 points at the half, but the offense only scored 3. Personally, I'd rather have Sparano/Henne than Philbin/Tannehill with this current roster.

I have to root for Buffalo. The Pats are not as dominant as they once were, so if Miami can put together a winning season then every Pats loss will help the Fins. Over the past few years Buffalo has started out strong, but waned at the end of the season. I expect that trend to continue. However, if Buffalo continues to win with Orton at QB, the fact that they have Mimai's number means that th
