Miami's starters played into the 3rd quarter against Dallas and managed only 3 points. If they can figure out how to get into the endzone I'll be surprised!

I would have never drafted Pouncey. His involvement with Hernandez in college (and as a person of interest in several criminal investigations with Hernandez) should have raised red flags during a background check. Last season when he wore his "Free Hernandez" hat, that should have been the catalyst to trade him during the off-season or the draft. Now he's out for months, but that gi

The o-line was decent, probably average under Sparano and would've been above average with an upgrade or two. Unfortunately, Ross hired Philbin and his complete change of offensive philosophy has set this team back years. Ross should have cleaned house when Sparano was fired and hired a new GM and Head Coach who could build on the already-good defense and improve the offense. I hate sounding

IMO, Tannehill is still a question mark. But, I really believe that Ross should have cleaned house; Philbin is not going to lead this team to the Super Bowl, and Hickey was the ONLY GM candidate willing to work with him.

I wouldn't want a player who flashes gang signs on the field. Any player who does that should be kicked out of the league.

Surprised he got a pass last year. I agree, but IMO Philbin should get as much blame as Coyle (also Ireland, but he's already gone). Year 1: Philbin brings in Coyle

Instead of taking half-measures (again!), Ross should have made a clean sweep. Keeping Philbin is a huge mistake!

With the way things are going these days, I wouldn't be surprised if Ross is trying to sell the stadium to the Chinese. No more beer and hot dogs for you local fans... you'll be buying won-ton and egg rolls. (Mmmmmmm, I love egg rolls!)

You just made my point for me. "We need more talent" - Ireland picked up a few decent players, but not nearly enough in all the years he's been here... most were average at best

I agree... Miami is nowhere near being "close". Ireland has put together a team filled of mostly second-stringers, and Philbin is not HC material.

For the record, I don't like these college-style offenses that are being run in Seattle and SF, for example. They're like the Wildcat; it'll work for a while until defenses figure out how to stop it or at least make it less productive. I watched about half of the Army-Navy game, and it was the worst football I have ever seen... all the QBs did was run, and I think I saw just 3 passes. I would

Personally, I'd like to see a system that would "see" everything; all of those holds that are never seen by the officials should be called. Force the players to play clean and by the rules. Have chips/sensors everywhere so that officials know exactly where the ball should be placed, and who actually recovers the ball under a pile (not who ends up with it). Was that really a "hands

Philbin should be fired, and let him take his inept offense with him! As long as he's the HC they won't be going anywhere.

Miami had a 3rd ranked rushing defense. Philbin and Coyle changed to the 4-3 and it dropped to 13th. Ireland swapped LBs and it dropped all the way to 24th. Philbin and Ireland are the reasons why Miami can't run the ball or stop the run anymore. Get a new Head Coach and GM and go back to what was working. Ross screwed up by not firing Ireland with Sparano, and by hiring Philbin. Instead of ke

Wallace is a deep threat, and a quick-strike weapon. His ability to beat the defenders makes him an excellent tool in coming from behind or putting away an opponent. But, he's not a well-rounded WR... he does what he does and that's about it. He can make plays in the short passing game, but it's not his strength. He doesn't go up and fight for the ball; he needs to be hit in stride. Okay, I c

I also had to vote to post, but I choose "None Of The Above" because I didn't want them to switch to a West Coast offense, and the sooner it's gone, the better. And, if Tannehill can't hit a wide open Wallace in stride, then I wouldn't consider him to be all that important to the future of this team.

The last 2 games were "win these and you're in" but Philbin couldn't even get his team motivated to play for a playoff berth. Clean house.

I'm all for a complete housecleaning. I wanted Ireland fired along with Sparano... there should be no trace of Parcells in the organization (other than a few players). I knew Philbin and his "system" was a poor choice, and his hiring of his pal Sherman made it worse. Coyle also turned out to be a bad pick; in 2 years he (and Ireland's LB swap) turned a Top 5 run defense into a Bottom 5
