I think that the biggest question that needs answering is "what's the bigger problem on this team, personnel or coaching?" Red zone scoring issues: Why do they continually settle for FGs? Is it poor playcalling (coaching problem), or is it too little talent on the o-line, lack of a power RB, and/or lack of an elite QB (personnel problem)? The only TDs today came from outside of the r

The fact that we are in trouble without him is a perfect example of Ireland's and Sparano's inability to sign and field a quality o-line after 4 years of drafts and free agency. If I were the owner, I'd consider telling the new GM/HC to trade Long; he's been injured too often to be reliable anymore.

If I were Ross, I'd privately consult with some highly regarded "football minds" (read as NOT Parcells!) to take a look at the big picture and try to figure out why Miami can't win close games. A team that can go toe-to-toe with the big boys should have a winning record. A team that can dominate for 55 minutes should never lose the game in the last 5 minutes. What exactly is holding us

I agree! At Dallas: 4 trips in the red zone, and no TDs? This has been going on for years, and a few wins against mediocre teams won't change my opinion. How about not holding on t

Moore has made some nice throws that Henne could never complete. But, I think that Henne was better at facing pressure than Moore. Moore is a better scrambler, moving out of the pocket to throw on the run. The downside is that it's normally a slide before he gets hit, a sack (or fumble), or the occasional completion. Henne had no problem running for a first down, even with the poor o-line play. H

When I saw the final score, I immediately thought of Marino's final game: Jacksonville 62, Miami 7.

I don't follow college football, so I'm not familiar with the QB prospects for next April's draft. I have watched some YouTube highlight videos, and Luck does look pretty good. I keep hearing that there are a few good QBs coming out next year, so hopefully Miami will draft high enough to pick one. A great QB to go along with Bush (if he's used properly), Thomas (if he can stay healthy), and a

It wouldn't be so bad if another team won it all at 17-0, but with the current 16 game season they would be 19-0 and technically would top Miami's 17-0 record. As a long-time Dolphin fan (since 1970), I have no choice but to live in the Glory Days of the past, since this team has been mediocre at best for years now. It was sad seeing Marino's records broken (a major cause of that was due to r

If we get him, I just hope that we have someone running the team who can help him and not ruin him! They would definitely have to fix the o-line to protect him; something that the current regime just can't do.

Everyone keeps placing all of the blame on Sparano, but Ireland is responsible for signing the "talent" (or lack thereof). They both need to be fired.

This regime (like others past) has no desire to risk drafting a possible franchise QB in the 1st round. Mr. Ross, please fire the entire Front Office and start over. It can be done. Look at Detroit... they sucked for years, but once Matt Millen was gone this team now has a decent QB and is 4-0. Everyone in the football side of this operation has failed and needs to go.

I'm afraid that Ireland will keep his job even though he should be the first to go. He passed on a lot of quality FAs that may have helped this team, but he had no problem signing Colombo! Now if Ireland wanted to sign good players but Ross said no to save money, then this team is toast.

Thomas out again, and Clay hasn't played a single snap in the regular season yet. Oh well, this way they'll both be fresh for next year!

I agree; we do have some decent players that should be allowed to stay. At the beginning of the season there would have been quite a few players that I would've kept. But, after these 3 games, that list is becoming a lot smaller! The entire secondary has to go. Davis and Smith are mediocre at best, and have not become the players we expected them to become. Madison and Surtain were CBs with a

I'd also keep Hartline; he's made some nice catches. And maybe Bess too, but that's pretty much it. The rest can go.

Sparano definitely has to go. I'm tired of hearing about his emphasis on stats; negative plays, snaps per player in practice and in games. That may look good on paper, but it's worthless if it doesn't translate into wins on the field. Between that and his habit of signing ex-Cowboys, I'm beginning to think that he doesn't have a clue about running a football team.

Who is to blame for being 0-3? Offense is okay until they get into scoring distance. Defense is no longer dominant against the run, pass coverage is up and down, and there is NO quality depth in the secondary. Time management is terrible. What's the problem with scoring in the red zone? Is it poor playcalling and using the wrong personnel, or is it that the players just aren't good enough to exec

Need to bring in a new GM and HC now, so that they can use the rest of this season to evaluate the players to see who to keep. I'm sure there a more than a few keepers on this roster that could remain.

Ireland is to blame for the poor talent on the o-line (and other positions). Why would he even consider signing Colombo? Sure, he may get a few good players, but this is his 4th year and we still aren't any closer to the playoffs. (The 2008 Wildcat year doesn't count... it was a once-and-done gimmick.) Sparano either had no clue for the past 2 seasons that Henning's playcalling was terrible or wa

4 years, and we only have 1 1/2 (Long, and maybe Pouncey) decent o-linemen? Sparano stood by and did nothing for 2 years while Henning stifled Henne's development and lost games with his horrid playcalling. Ireland signs Bush when that money could've been used to bolster the o-line. Yes, Bush can be a threat on the field, but he's just another gimmick like the Wildcat. Build a solid team first, t

BTW, I like the "new" Henne so far, even though he still makes a few mistakes. I admit that I was down on Thomas after he was drafted, but he may end up being pretty good. He did have a history of fumbling in college. His fumble today was due to a good hit, but he still should have held on to it. There are a few good players on this team... just not enough to win consistently.

Ireland has given the team some talent. Unfortunately, there's not enough talent to field a strong, winning team.

I'm not a hater, nor a fair-weather fan... I've been rooting for the Fins since 1970. I'm a Miami Dolphins fan, but not necessarily an NFL fan. If Miami isn't playing, there's no reason for me to watch football. I'm wildly hopeful at the start of each game, but this era of continuous losing is getting old. I'm sorry, but Ireland and Sparano need to go. I wanted them gone last year, but thought

That said, if the defense would have pressured and sacked Brady often like they normally do, Miami would have won easily! I hate sounding negative this early in the season. On the bright side, we may return to the days of Marino; offense scores 30 points, and defense gives up 35! But seriously, I'm sure that the D will get better (at least a little). I'm just worried about the running game

I have to somewhat agree with the original poster, and yes, the D was terrible. However, the Fins re-signed Larry Johnson because Thomas is hurt, yet he never entered the game? The offense was one-dimensional all night because Bush is NOT an every down RB, and has no business trying to run up the middle. Bush should be used more as a receiver. So what if he wants to be an every down back... Miami
