Well, the offense started out decent in the 1st quarter, but hasn't done anything since. And, the defense can't get to Luck, and TEs are killing them. So much for 4-1.

I fully expect Miami to be at least 4-1. They have the defense to keep them in every game. If they fail to be 4-1 (or 3-2 at worst), it will be because of the offense's lack of scoring. The blame for that will fall on either Sherman and his poor playcalling / use of personnel to their strengths or Ireland's inability to get enough talent on the offense. Personally, I think that Sherman is holding

I've read elsewhere that Hernandez was also "possibly" involved in the shooting of 2 people while he was in college. He refused to cooperate with the police, and was never charged. He also got into a fight with a bouncer with no charges filed. IMO, it appears that Hernandez is just another scumbag who associates with other scumbags. Normally, these guys end up in jail, but it looks like

I know that Miami will want to address the o-line and CB positions in the draft, but signing inexpensive veteran players at those positions is a smart move. It's better than wasting big bucks on a "star" free agent who will only be a stop-gap, and they'll still have someone who could be an average starter until the rookies are ready.

Ross the "football fan" would not blame Philbin for the losses due to a lack of playmakers, so he'd fire Ireland. Ross the "businessman" would congratulate Ireland for his 2012 season of stockpiling draft picks, creating cap space by refusing to sign big-money free agents, and filling the team's holes with waiver wire rejects. Philbin would be fired for failing to turn a te

I voted o-line as most important to fix/upgrade first. Of course, I don't mean using top draft picks; just that it's a major concern that needs to be addressed. A speedy WR won't get the ball if Tannehill doesn't have time to find him. I say upgrade the offense first, and if possible use a pick or two on the secondary. For as bad as the secondary has been, by some miracle the defense gives up

Has anyone else thought that maybe Carroll is still on the team because of his mother's position?

I had no problem with Ireland trading away Marshall and Davis. I just don't understand why he didn't replace them with "quality" players.

If I were the coach, I'd spend the next 7 games seeing if anyone currently on the roster can handle the LT spot. Jake is becoming more of a liability than an asset, so it's time to find someone else.

Long needs to go; he's just not cutting it anymore. It seems like we have more holes to fill for next year than we did last year! Miami still needs to redo the o-line, and replace almost everyone in the secondary.

I was hoping to see a win, especially when the score was only 3-3 and Miami was slowing down the Texan's offense. But, I should have known better... the real Dolphins showed up then. There is a new coaching staff, new QB, and new schemes on offense and defense, but I still see the same result: Miami looks competitive, but somehow finds a way to lose. I've been seeing this for years now, and it

I see these moves as cleaning house. Get rid of slackers, malcontents, and everyone with a poor attitude... that's what I'd do as a new Head Coach looking to install a new system and culture to a losing team. It's not like he's getting rid of superstars; this has been a below .500 team for years.

Last year we had a good running game, but this year we needed to improve the right side of the o-line, add a WR, and upgrade the QB position. On defense we needed a lot of help in the secondary, and maybe a LB or pass rusher. What did they do to fix the issues? If Tannehill gets better, then the QB position is improved. The right side of the o-line was replaced, but still stinks. The new zone-

How many times did Moore lead this team to a come-from-behind winning score against a quality team, or any team for that matter? When the game was on the line and he needed to score for the win (or convert to maintain possession and hold a lead) he folded. Yes, the poor o-line play had something to do with it, but he usually performed well behind that same o-line during the course of the game. Li

And, our 5 wins have come against poor opponents. We lose to the upper-echelon teams. Not only are our players not as good as those on "elite" teams, but we are constantly out-coached, too. We need upgrades at a number of starting positions, and we also need to improve the quality of our back-ups. Four years of constant turnover at the bottom of the roster and poor player development ha
