Pat Kirwan and Tim Green did their first mock draft today on Sirius NFL Radio. They had Nicks as the 2nd WR off the board, going in the top 20 picks. Kirwan said that one NFL coach told him that of the top WR in the draft, Nicks is the only one who has run the entire NFL route tree. Crabtree, Nicks, Maclin, Harvin, Heyward-Bey, and Britt all went in their first round. They had Connor Barwin going

Barwin was interviewed on Sirius NFL Radio yesterday afternoon. Apparently, he had just finished a private workout with Paul Pasqualoni. He said that Pasqualoni took him into a classroom, threw the entire defense at him, and then took him out on to the field to see what he remembered. Barwin thought it went really well. He's a very confident kid. I think that taking him at #25 is probably too

I think there's a good chance we take Hakeem Nicks with our first pick. When you look at what teams need a WR, and then you look at guys who have #1 WR potential, there's good reason to think that #44 will be too late to take one. There could be a run on WR late in the 1st round and early in the 2nd. With Robiskie climbing the charts, he may not even be available at #44, and he's really considere

He lines up next to Porter the majori

Next year is an uncapped season, so his contract beyond this year may be irrelevant. At his age, he doesn't fit the long term plan in Miami. And he became very one dimensional in '08, t

I think Holliday will be restructured soon. I think Porter has 1 more year in a Fins uniform and then will be cut or traded. I think that's why we've signed Wake and are likely still looking for a pass rushing OLB in the draft.

By comparison, Holliday had 31 tackles, 3 for no gain or loss, and

Exactly. A first round pick that has yet to crack the starting lineup after 3 seasons? He's a bust, just like Andy Katzenmoyer before him.

I agree on the upsides of Bess and Camarillo. But, the fact is that the coaching staff loves them, in spite of their limitations. Bess is a poor man's Welker. He's very quick on the underneath routes. He will be a good slot guy for us once the two outside positions are more established. Camarillo may not be ready to start the year. And any loss of speed from his injury could be devastating.

The problem with this is how he fits on the roster. We have Ginn, who we spent the #9 pick on. And it would be foolish to let him go before his 3rd season, especially with the progress he has made. We have Bess, who the coaching staff loves. And he has a chance to be a really nice slot guy. We have Camarillo, another guy the coaching staff loves. And they just signed him to a long term d

So, a lot of people seem to be on the Mcfadden bandwagon. And others like Leigh Bodden. But, why not Ron Bartell? He's 27, 6'1, 205 lbs, runs a 4.4, had 19 passes defensed, and 3 INT. Is he going to be out of our price range?

I think we're around $8M under the cap. It likely doesn't leave room for Jason Brown. If we can get a CB for around $4M, that would make sense. We still need some cap money to fill out the roster and sign draft picks. But, I thought I saw an article that the cap went up yesterday? Did anyone else see this? Does anyone know if the cap numbers being thrown around include the adjusted cap?
