Desperation is way to strong a word. This was a smart move as the fans needed to know who he is and why the choice. Anyway, it really doesn't matter as with the CBA not being signed we won't get that QB we want and we will be lucky if we see much improvement. That is unless we build a great OL and get some sort of upgrade in QB. My prediction is that Daboll will be blasted continuously on t

If you think that a first round QB is what it takes then look again. It takes a complete team. Offense, Defense and Special Teams. All of the teams left have that. The SB winner will have a complete team. This year it would surprise me if we draft a QB in the first round. It won't do us a bit of good unless we draft in the top 2 or 3 and I really don't see that happening. So, build the team

Too tiny, not my stile. We already have pretty girls selling beer in Coors Field. I'll bet it won't be long before every stadium has this fill method.

I don't think it's a desperate attempt. I is obvious that Daboll (is that right?) is not a house hold name and the Phins know that the fans are quite upset. So it makes sense to introduce him. I'll say this. Every coach had to get a start somewhere. Most fail at the first couple jobs. I can't say this guy failed as there wasn't much to work with in Cleveland and he was there only a short time.

I always figured they would win three in a row. They were so freaking good they were boring. Warfield was the best receiver in the game bar none. He was at least one of the best ever. Talk about deep threat, WoW! Yes, when the three left at once it really hurt the Phins. Even at that, they lost to Oakland in the last seconds and then the Steelers just squeaked by the Raiders with the immaculate

Csonka, Kiick and Warfield were the biggest names in football at that time. Bigger that any QB even Namath. They were the guys on the undefeated team and won back to back SBs. The WFL figured they would be a huge draw. I don't remember who else was recruited but none were offered the type of guarantee money those three got. No, not Robbie's fault, and not the fault of the three. Money talks a

The rules have compromised the game, not the Refs. I don't even know what pass interference is any more. Or defencive holding, or this asinine helmet to helmet rule, or unsportsmanlike conduct, or excessive celebration or any of the other ridiculous rules of today.

I'm not naive enough to think that a game has never been fixed by player or refes, but to say that there is a plot to assure that certain teams get into the Superbowl is far fetched. First, the league does not have to be fixed. There is plenty of money to go around. Pro Football is the leading pro sport now and will remain that way. All it would take to change that is if the league got caug

Robbie did what the rest of the owners were doing just more of it. Total different time. No cap, restricted FA, players had an option year they had to play out and then were restricted. Can't compair much. As far as the three jumping ship. They were offered something like 1 million each by the WFL. Unheard of pay for that time. Robbie gave them an offer but was not going to go that high and h

I think some of you guys are speculating to the point of getting yourself depressed and way to pissed. Not good for the heart, or drinking arms. You guys pay way to much attention to stats and as a result know very little about intangibles. Things could work out very well here. Should be a very interesting off season.

Guys I can't believe all the negative for someone you don't know. Every coach started somewhere and most failed the first couple of years. This guys been around and has worked with some of the best. Give him a chance. I'm going to pull for him and reserve judgment till the end of next season. Face it. Nothing good will happen in Miami until we get the right QB. I don't care what coach we ha

This was a guy I had in mind early on. As most of you know, I don't do a great deal or research as I'm not the one making the decision and I depend on you guys to fill me in. I was wondering why no one mentioned him. Well let's hope Sparano succeeds starting with a new OC. Anyway, now the Broncos have hired him.

Nobody knew who Shula was either till the Colts hired him as the youngest head coach at age 33. He spent only a few years as DC with Detroit before that.

Team value 2 billion. Gross Profit 20 million. That's 1% return on investment on GROSS profit. Most team don't do nearly that well according to the article. Just sayin.
