I think they have. I mentioned the possibility of picking up either Marshall or Jackson a few months ago and pretty much agreed with whoever (honestly can't remember who) said that SD wasn't trading Jackson. Rivers has lost his Left Tackle & best WR...and LT, who has lost a step. Gates is still special, but probably on the downside of special.

Either their GM knows something everyone else doesn't, or he is losing his mind.

Reports are SD only wants a 2nd round pick for Jackson. I am sure they are pushing for the Marshall deal of TWO 2nd rounders but they might settle for just 1

Channing Crowder is injured again...par for the course I guess. At some point we have to break ties with these injury prone players...Crowder, Grove, Brown....This may be the last year for all of them...if they even make it on the field.

Channing Crowder was injured, and is fine, that is why Dobbins started.

You won't see Grove or Brown in Miami next year. Only way Brown stays is if he takes a hometown discount which I don't see happening. He will have suitors going after him throwing money at him.

The coaches LOVE Crowder, LOVE him....I don't see him going anywhere. And its not like he is making a ton of money so he is worth keeping around. Plus he did take the hometown discount last time around with his contract. Channing isn't going anywhere.

Exactly. I don't get why anyone is down on Crowder.

im not sure grove will be gone either. as someone pointed out in a different thread, almost all of the bonuses on Grove's contract have been paid already so cutting him would only save Miami his base salary which is a reasonable salary. im not sure if they will part ways unless they have someone in mind that they are really gunning for.

also, i hope ronnie stays but i agree that he will probably go for the money.

I'm not so sure he's gonna get big time offers if he doesn't finish the season out again.

Vikings Sydney Rice considering HIP surgery. Would miss at least 8 games. That and with Percy Harvin passing out on a whim these days, that week 2 game is looking better each day

Looks like he did have it and will miss half the season, maybe a road trip to Minny is in order.

Vincent Jackson and the Chargers left tackle were put on the roster exempt list and will be suspended for 3 games whenever they sign with the Chargers or anyone else.

if we had a 2nd round pick next year we should and probably would be on the horn to SD for V-Jack. But since we don't, we can't.

"It's been a weird couple of days trying to make sense of the Darrelle Revis contract negotiations with the Jets, but one source close to the situation told FanHouse on Tuesday that the star cornerback's long-awaited contract extension with the team is "almost there" and could be finalized and announced in the coming days."

2012 the 18-game season looks like it will happen.

I'm just wondering how much DIRECTV will up the price for the Sunday Ticket with that news!

Jets offense sputters (11 points) against Washington and Calvin Pace is out for at least "a few weeks" according to Ryan.

Jason Taylor will take over as the starter at WOLB in his place.

Watched Hard Knocks for the 1st time last night, mildly entertaining even if it is about the hated Jets. I never really give this show a chance, but I should start.

I have seen every season, I thought the JAX season was the best back in the day. This Jets season started off good with the 1st show and has been downhill since. It's not a true look at training camp. Everyone is acting. It's way too over the top

Calvin Pace out 6 weeks for the Jets.

Means Week 3 Jets vs Miami, JASON TAYLOR will be starting and be on the field a lot!!!

Any bets that Pace doesn't get his spot back?

I bet he does.

I can see Taylor getting hurt, or just running out of gas.

Jets are talking with Adalus Thomas. Expect that signing soon

Taylor starting hurts him IMO, doubt if he was looking for that much action, I think he would do more with less playing time

If Taylor has to play like a starter that hurts their defense. He can't be an everydown player. Which is why they will sign Adalius Thomas this week. They already called him

That's what people were saying last year about him and he played more snaps and was more efficient than any OLB we had and even better than all but about 7 OLB's in the entire league.

Guys hit the wall at a certain age. JT is at about that age to be an everydown player at a high caliber level.

Patriots lost their starting CB for the year; Leigh Bodden.

Forced to start a rookie at CB now
