The Fact that Calvin Pace is out, hurts the Jets defense alot IMO. JT can makes some plays, but he is not Calvin Pace. neither is Vernon Gholston nor Adalius Thomas. JT looked pretty bad last year when he was forced to drop into coverage, I will agree he played better then expected when he took over the starting responsibilities from Matt Roth.
Looks like the NE secondary will be gashed by the beast this year...and Hartline and Bess and....They were already suspect on the outside if you look at their OLB's and DE's...now throw in the CB's....and they will give up some big plays this year.

Mike you got me confussed on this one? Is he about to hit the wall, or is he a every down player???
It just reads like he is a rookie about to hit the stage of a high calibur player, yet you start off guys hit the wall ata certain age?

NE is in a bad way this year. I think that team is gonna be a huge dissapointment

Quite right. I didn't see the whole game, but Benny Sapp was a fill-in starter for a very good team last year. If he played well, I could see him starting in place of Shawn Smith until Will Allen is ready in Week 3.

The Jets cut Coles, so it makes little sense for them to trade for him and pay Housh his big salary to be a 4th WR. SD wants to move V-Jack for a 2nd and 3rd round pick, so I can't see Housh being part of any deal there. I would think Minnesota would deal for him then put Rice on IR.

if he's cut they don't have to pick up his big contract, right? so it probably won't cost all that much to sign him---he probably got a big bonus last year anyway so I doubt he really is looking for the same kind of contract he got last yr (and no one would pay him that anyway)

Balls move by AZ. I get it though. If Leinart wasn't going to be the starter, its best to make a clean break and move on.
Kinda always thought Leinart was another over-rated USC QB. With all the news about USC basically having a Pro team, it is no wonder he was able to put up the numbers he did in college. At 10th overall, a bit of a reach. Still, someone will have a good backup QB with that guy. Maybe us?
I really see Leinart ending up in Buffalo becasue that is one place he could end up getting playing time. Buffalo is a far cry from Southern Californa to say the least!! lol
