Sorry, I refuse to be pleased by the fact that the Patriots lost or that a meaningless four decades old record stays intact. Jones wants to know why he isn't in the Pro Bowl? I can point out two plays this game, the dropped INT and when Frank Gore ran over him on way to a thirty yard TD run. That's why you aren't in the Pro Bowl. Because all your statistics are as meaningless as Tannehill'

But these things have already happened? We are already playing Parker instead of Jennings and we are already playing Lippett instead of Taylor, both moves that Campbell made specifically for the reasons you are saying he should - to see what the future holds. We've also seen numerous bench players get time due to injuries, at OC, at LT, at OLB at FS. So, what else are you asking that Campbe

There's no reason to rest any of these players, none of them are very good. So what if Albert or Pouncey get hurt? They get hurt all the time anyway, they are paid as if they are the best in the NFL, and even if they are - their performance isn't enough to actually make a difference in the win column and teams lesser LT's and OC's are performing better on offense (passing and running) and are

Suh isn't the problem, the lack of talent everywhere else is the problem. Suh has consistently graded out as one of the top DT's since week four or so. Now, there's a case to be made that no matter how well he's playing, there's no point in making that sort of investment in a DT. Even the best DT in the history of the world isn't worth it because it simply isn't a game changing position. Not

Worse performance I've seen in a while, even worse than the losses to the Jets and Bills. That was a horror show against a horrible team. I was hoping to see at least the level of performance out of Tannehill that we saw on Monday night, if not better because the Chargers are a worse team. But.. nope.

All of the warning signs were there early on about Philbin. Brought in because of GB's offensive success, yet he was an O/Cor in name only. His biggest accomplishment was making players tie their shoes and pick up their gum wrappers in the locker room. He had to have Dawn Aponte write his speeches for him, and he had to read off of index cards while giving the speeches. Ugh. Sure, he had h

In order for us to mimic the Browns situation, we'd have to move the team to San Diego or St Louis, rename the team something different, wait 3 years, reestablish the team as the Miami Dolphins and watch as they had two winning seasons over the next 17 years, gained a great nickname like "the Factory of Sadness" and watch as the team that was formerly the Dolphins win two SB championshi

What you are demonstrating Joe is the relative value of the two positions. The Dolphins could have traded down to multiple spots and gotten a player as good or better than Jake Long. They could not have done that and gotten a franchise QB. That is the reason why we should have grabbed the QB over the LT.

Two things - 1) I don't know why Treasure keeps saying this over and over again after I've provided the info and provided a link to the proof, but our salary cap is almost exactly 50% on offense and defense. There has not been boatloads of money invested in the defense at the expense of the offense. This is simply untrue and I'm puzzled as to why Treasure keeps repeating this mantra after I'

It's funny, I think there's three of us on here that watched the game on Monday night and saw the very best of Tannehill and saw potential in him we hadn't seen before. Everybody else seems to think he had a horrible game.

Huh? The point isn't to look for head coaches that had success with multiple mediocre QBs. The point is to look for an offensive coordinator that has had success with multiple mediocre QBs so you know then that his system and play calling are responsible, not the talent level of the team. Because the talent level will be different, but the system and play calling will have been proven winne

The problem is that while Gruden mentioned during the game that Ross would be "a fool to let any of these young coaches get away", specifically naming Campbell, Taylor and Whathisname, the post game commentary from the MNF crew was horrific. Steve Young and Ray Lewis were actually laughing, laughing, at the defense that Whatshisname puts out on the field. Young said it reminded him

We needed a DE when we drafted Jordan. Had that pick worked out, we wouldn't be worried and Cam Wake and Vernon and Shelby's contracts and be signing scrubs that were former 1st and 2nd round picks from other teams that gave up on them. On the Tannehill front, I watched a different game than the posters on here and on the blogs for the Herald. Perhaps it's just because I saw Tannehill do w

Lynch will probably be the first QB taken. As far as suddenly hyped players that played at small schools in spread offenses but caught fire and had all the NFL measurables, I'd compare Lynch to that guy they've got in Pittsburgh. Except for the cuddles with struggles, of course. I like Cook, but its been difficult lately because I'm not sure just how injured he actually is. I think there wi

I would love McDaniels and I still think getting Pioli and McDaniels in here would be a far better system and organization to emulate rather than trying to build the Jets South. My concern with McDaniels is that he was essentially run out of Denver because he couldn't control the message with the media and he couldn't control his own staff. His assistants and coordinators were repeatedly unde

First, Saban was and is an excellent coach. He got 9 wins through smoke and mirrors on defense. Unfortunately, just like Spurrier in Washington, their families didn't want to move from the South (South Florida is more like NY than it is the South), their families liked being big fishes in the college scene, and their families were unsupportive of the move to the NFL. Combine that with the fact t

I've very quickly soured on Campbell. It seems his idea of aggressive is restricted to one on one player battles, beat your man, be aggressive at the point of attack. His solution to every problem seems to be to simplify things. Simplify the defense, simplify the offense. People wanted Lazor gone because the offense was too simple and too predictable and too safe and Campbell's message to

He didn't say it was based on size alone, he said he was up in age and too small. Which is what happens to smallish CBs, even if they can play at high level for a bit, their size always comes into play. It's true Watkins at 6'1, didn't beat him on size alone, he just beat him all day long for 8 catches for 168 yards when the Bills only had about 180 passing yards total. Watkins isn't a t
