Tannehill threw a nice 40+ yard deep pass to Stills. Probably the nicest of his entire career, both here and at A&M. Of course, the joy quickly vanished by watching Taylor top that pass with an even nicer 60+ yard pass, and then we got to go to watch the half time highlights and see how Bortles, Brees and Newton all threw better passes than Tannehill's big play and the realization sets in

Yes, we go from a guy in Fiedler who wants to throw down the field constantly and doesn't have the physical ability to do it to two guys in Henne and Tannehill that have the physical ability to go down the field and simply are too scared to do so.

Our offense stinks, how can our First Round pick not be needed at this point? If it's because the rest of the receivers are good enough, and he wouldn't make an impact, what does that say about drafting him in the first place? Or, what does it say about our OL or QB that it wouldn't matter if we had a bigger playmaker at WR because they won't be able to get the ball?

It was mentioned during one of the latest Patriots games that Belichek always defers because he wants the chance to have the ball last in the 1st half and 1st in the 2nd half to put together back to back scoring drives. If you're behind in the game, scoring twice in a row should get you right back in the game. If you're leading the game at that point, scoring twice in a row could put the game

Is it drafting and player evaluation or is it coaching? I can't get over the fact that last year, the Patriots OL was in shambles until their reordered their OL and started their rookie 4th round pick (Storks) at center and then went on to win the SB. This year, Storks is hurt, and they are starting another rookie 4th round pick (Mason) in his place, along with another 4th round rookie at O

I don't see huge holes across the board with this team. I can't look at this team and the Patriots say that across the board the Patriots are that much superior, talent wise. They've been playing with rookies all across their OL, their running backs are guys dumped from multiple teams. Their WRs are undrafted or cast-offs. They can't establish or maintain a constant pass rush without blitzi

Actually ChyrenB, you're completely wrong. There's no "intent" in the NFL rulebook for this. It is quite simply that hitting a QB below the waist and in the head are fineable offenses - even if there was no penalty drawn on the play for a rule violation. He's appealing, he may or may not get the fines lowered, but it doesn't even matter if you trip into a QB and end up tackling h

There's a couple of things at play here, are we talking about what we need to make the playoffs, or are we talking about giving the job to Campbell? As far as the playoffs go, the loss to the Jags hurts us, and we really need to get wins against the Texans, Colts, Chargers and Ravens. I'd gladly swap the win against the Redskins for a win against the Jags, if I could. I'm also not interested

Don't see the issue. Hitting a QB below the waist and hitting a QB in the head are both penalties and both subject to fines. Vernon did both, got penalized for both and got fined for both. Having said all that, I'd tell Vernon to keep it up because that's how I roll.
