I think Seattle is going to be a tough matchup. Their secondary is going to be the toughest test for tannehill down the stretch. they can be run on though

ginn gets a bad rap because cam cameron was stupid enough to draft him 9th overall. ginn's 3rd in the nfc with a 12.4 avg. he has 17 punt returns. the two in front of him are at a 13 avg with 4 returns each. he ran out of bounds. oh the humanity!

luck had a great game but don't lose sight of the fact that he had 3 ints dropped and a td into double coverage that at the very least should have been knocked down if no intercepted. That pass that smith should have intercepted at the colts 30 was a horrible decision. he hit dansby right on the hands that would have been a pick six. of the two qbs he made more rookie type throws than tann

In Green Bay they build through the draft and resigning their own FAs. I think Philbin will follow that approach. GB is never a big spender in FA. So I look for the phins to re-sign their key FAs, find inexpensive system guys in FA, and utilize their extra picks to build the roster.

gates was let go because he couldn't pick up the west coast offense. he fits in just fine with sparano's one side of the field philosophy. gaffney and moore are much better than gates. so nanee didn't work out. it happens. it was funny watching sparano try to call plays. as clueless as ever. what's even funnier is he'll be named the interim hc when fat rex gets canned.

I'd offer matt moore straight up for bowe. he'd instantly be the best qb on the chiefs roster, he knows daboll's offense, and we could just resign garrard as a vet backup.

the afc is wide open this year. if the phins keep improving and getting more comfortable with new systems on both sides of the ball they may sneak into the last spot. they have to avoid serious injuries to get there though.

quit projecting. sanchez is in his 4th year, 6th overall pick, and he looked as bad if not worse than tannehill. tannehill was playing in his 3rd professional game. you subjective stat to try to prove a point on a qb playing his 3rd game is absurd.

sanchez being 5th tells you all you need to know about ESPN's QBR.

it helps if you have a legit wr to throw the ball to. a rookie qb threw a pick 6 in his 3rd pro game. heaven help us! the kid looks poised. give him a year or two before you run him out of town.

our problem is ireland has been trying to fix the oline for 4 years and still hasn't done it. too many wasted picks/resources on olinemen that are subpar or off the roster already. we have a bunch of #3 & 4 wrs on the roster. when you have zero offensive playmakers the d can pretty much dictate what they want to do. that slant was jumped because that pretty much all we have and thew k

wow. 1 game into his pro career and you clowns are calling for a switch to wr or a trade. you line up behind center and try to look good throwing to the crap we have at wr.

Ireland's drafts have been horrible. It's not often a gm gets to rebuild his horribly assembled team within 4 years. He'll throw philbin under the bus as quickly as he did sparano. Now, before he trades away all of our picks dump the clown. get someone philbin has worked with in past in there.

Here's Ireland's 2nd and 3rd round picks not including this year. These guys should be among the young core of the team. Instead most are gone and the remaining are average at best. This is how you kill a franchise. How a 1st time GM gets a do over within 5 years is beyond me. He must have some pretty compromising photos of Ross and his D-list celeb co-owners Philip Merling, Chad

1876. Re: QB
and on top of that he hurt his knee playing with his kid in his pool. start tannehill. we've been waiting for this since '99. we've seen moore and garrard's ceiling. why hold the kid back for mediocre play from those 2. he's looked poised running the show these first 2 weeks. he had crap salad to work with against carolina and held his own. the future is this season.

the phins have new systems on both sides of the ball, a rookie qb, and nothing to speak of at wr. philbin should get 4 years to turn it around. the one that should be looking over his shoulder is ireland. i see another 6-10 season ahead and if so let philbin pick his personnel guy to work with.

Good. Move Rashad Jones to his natural position of SS, move Sean Smith to FS and Jimmy Wilson to CB. Rashad Jones was a great SS in college.

brady is a great qb when he can drop 2 steps and throw it 1-5 yards. a little pressure or you take away that short crap and he's average. as for being 20mm under the cap they still need to re-sign their best wr and 2 best pass rushers so that number is a bit inflated.

sorry but if peterson is the vp of football ops and ireland the gm no big name coach will have anything to do with the phins. what those two buffoons will attract is 2nd tier retreads like mangini and herm edwards....guys that would be thrilled just to get back in. of the two mangini at least displays intelligence and an understanding of the game. edwards is still horrible on espn and is not

I'm thrilled with a 3 game winning streak. Makes my sunday much more enjoyable. It still doesn't change the fact that we opened with 7 straight losses and that we still need a franchise qb and a new coaching staff and front office. You need to look no further than across the ball yesterday to see what a kneejerk decision to extend a hot qb gets you.

I think we end up with 5 wins. I also think fans will start having 2nd thoughts on getting rid of sparano and moore/henne. even if we ran the table and finished 9-7 the house still needs to be cleaned. Moore is a caretaker. Sparano is a cheerleader. They don't need to man the 2 most important positions on the team.

if we end up with the 1st overall pick i'd rather trade back and pick up an extra 2nd, 3rd, and a 1st next year and get barkley or jones. with the new rookie wage scale teams won't be as reluctant to trade up and the other 2 qbs are as good as luck.

i don't think they're tanking anything. they're just a poorly coached talent deprived team.

if you're going to throw long on 3rd and inches from the jets 40 to me that says you plan to go for it on 4th. an 0-4 coach shouldn't be worried about playing not to lose. he should be worried about losing his job and it just doesn't look like that's going to happen very soon. they had 2 weeks to prepare and in typical fashion we look good on the first 2 drives and never change it up after

so you're saying if we still had ginn, williams, allen, walden, cam cameron and dom capers we'd be winning? that's a good one.

ricky williams 156yrds rushing...mostly in garbage time ted ginn jr 4 catches for 38yds I wouldn't classify that as being successful

eric walden is playing because of injuries. ricky williams is a backup. jason allen still gets torched on a regular basis. bobby carpenter is starting because of injuries. he got torched for chicago's only td last night. and someone mentioned ted ginn? he had 2 tds in a game. other than that he's the 4th wr in san fran. i wouldn't call that succeeding elsewhere.

We do have the dbs to cover. if they man up on the outside and send pressure it makes their job easier. you're dictating where the ball goes on the hot read. i'd rather take a chance to get burnt rather than giving them 8-10yds a pop underneath our horrible zone d. fasano's played well when he hasn't had to protect colombo. spread it out. it dictates what the d will do. get them in bas
