He didnt show up drunk as you said earlier, he did show up smelling of alchohol from sweat, since he had been out the night before. Since Vontae had been injured not playing, nursing a hamstring, and alcohol leads to dehydration and dehyrdration in the muscle does not not help heal a hamstring heal, Marshall got into it with Vontae. It was more about he shouldnt have been drinking at all since he wasnt helping the team, and the team needed him and his injury to heal.. then chracterizing it as Vontae showing up to practice drunk....

I can't agree with you, DolfanKing, concerning your remarks about the FO.

It takes time for everyone to know if a draft pick/class was good or not. I believe the normal time for that is 3 years.

You are correct in saying that the team, right now, is mediocre. None of us know what the team will look like in the (near) future.

Yes, Vontae was the best CB on the team, but his "issues" were getting the best of the FO (and I include coaches in that), and I also read where it is possible he just wasn't fitting into the defense's scheme. Granted, he was chosen in the first round and we only got a 2nd (and a conditional 6th) for him, but he hasn't played like a shut down corner, the way a first rounder should play. Thus, that's all Ireland could get for him.

If Tanney still isn't sniffing the playoffs in a few years, I doubt it will be laid right on his shoulders. I have seen a lot of good things from him, thus far. Sure, he also has things that he needs to work on, but who on this team doesn't? Ryan surely isn't the only reason our offense isn't doing much.

I will admit, however, that this season is probably going to be a long one for all Finfans.

Here's Ireland's 2nd and 3rd round picks not including this year. These guys should be among the young core of the team. Instead most are gone and the remaining are average at best.

He wasnt playing not even like a second rounder at times...he was playing worse than that thats why he is a goner....
