This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
1. La'el Collins - Top 15 player. Innocent, stuck in a bad situation. Will be cleared.
2. Eric Kendricks - Roaming LB, athletic, can cover
3. Grady Jarrett - The next Geno Atkins. Suh & Atkins next to each other is scary.

Before he got hurt?
He STAYED hurt in college.
He had 1 career 30 rushing attempt game, he had 1 career 200 yard rushing game in his college career.
That's not a bellcow, that's not a team leading RB. If he can't carry the load in a 13 game college season, what gives ANYBODY the reasonable thought he could do it in a 16 game NFL season!?
I mean, c'mon.

What kind of combination would Suh and Danny Shelton provide?
Shelton is widely compared to Haloti Ngata. He is a wide body at 350lbs with a non stop motor. The Phins want to use athletic/rangy LB's, and combining Suh & Shelton would allow that.
No Center, Guard, or Tackle would ever reach a LB if Shelton and Suh were next to each other. Currently, all we have is small & athletic DT

Truth,
A DE doesn't impact all 3 levels of the defense does as much as a DT does.
JJ Watt, playing DE, has never prevented an OG and/or C from getting their pads on the MLB. Never. Ever. Never. Ever, never, ever ever.

If Suh is on the team, not only does he make 2 or 3 game changing plays within the course of those 3 losses,
he probably frees up Wake, Vernon, or his pressure forces a big play from Reshad Jones.
He adds multiple different game changing plays & allows other to make some as well.

Stats don't show the full picture of impact.
But whatever, I'm on to a different point.
The bottom line with Suh is this:
The Phins lost 3 games in 2014 in the very last seconds of those games. With Suh, the Phins are 3-0 in those games.
Simply put, the Dolphins are an 11 or 12 win team with Suh & in the playoffs.
Is that worth his contract for you? I know my answer.

He may not be better, but he may be more impactful.

Wow, you people are simply mind boggling.

I'm not saying 4.49 is not a good time. But to me, its not eye-popping time. Calvin Johnson's 4.35 at his combine (at nearly the same size) was eye popping. lol.
But, DGB's broad jump and vertical raise SERIOUS red flags about his explosion. I mean, those are horrendous numbers for someone whose "potential" is based almost solely off of their athleticism.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
DGB did not test well, he ran a sub-par forty, his explosion tests were absolute trash (vertical & Broad Jump), he hasn't played football in over a year, and his character issues are horrendous. He is known to have a terrible work ethic, and never learned the Mizzou playbook while he was there. I watched every snap he ever took at Mizzou, & while he has all the potential in the world, his

Jaelen Strong will be the best WR from this class.
I told everybody prior to 2013 that Nuk Hopkins would be the best from that class, I told everybody prior to last year that OBJ would be the best from the 2014 class.
Strong will be the best WR from the 2015 class.

It starts with the HC. He's never came out and showed passion and enthusiasm towards his QB, and that mentality trickles down.
I remember after his 3rd start of his NFL career, Chuck Pagano said Andrew Luck was the best QB in the NFL (we all know damn well that wasn't true), but what it does is it build confidence within the locker room.
Joe simply refuses to do that.

Philbin is a B-type personality, I think he could mesh with anybody.
I think Rex's perfect spot is Atlanta. Already have a dynamic O (and a good Q, they just need a Defense.
Cutler is a problem.

Wished it would happen, it won't though.
If we could outline a way to make him the next HC if Joe fails, but that's an impossible thing to add to a contract.
He wants to be a HC, I think he will get a job as one, too.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
No,
Drafting a QB is the worst possible decision.
The absolute best scenario (If & when Moore leaves) is to sign Jake Locker as a backup to Ryan Tannehill. He is literally the best backup option, makes perfect sense, and dude has all the talent but can't stay healthy... but who cares, he would be the backup.
LOCKER FOR BACKUP!
