Good thoughts BNF. I really want to see Bush get the ball in space, as you said. Some teams excel at doing that with their RBs. Others struggle. We need to develop that ability.

In the NFL, a straight line blazer is very rare. Most WRs have to do much more than run straight and catch the ball. They usually have to run some slants (which requires some guts) and outs (which requires good footwork). Also, all WRs have to be able to get off the line, which some struggle with. All that said, if Gates is able to get off the line and catch the ball, if his game is strictly

I guess the question is: what constitutes "effective"? Is "effective" attracting negative media attention to a team that some say already has trouble signing free agents? No. As a Dolphin fan, that is not "effective". Is "effective" doing something that will improve the team or improve support for the team? Yes. That is effective. Did this protes

Garrard has a non guaranteed contract. He can get cut prior to week 1 without costing us a penny against the cap.

Slippery Fingers Marshall dropped 6 TDs last year.

If any protester thinks they are actually helping the Dolphins they are sadly mistaken.

Matt Moore took over a devastated team; went 6-3 down the stretch; and was 12th of 32 starting NFL QB's in passer rating last year. Just saying.

Which team picking before us would draft Richardson? The Browns are the only possibility; but word has it that they really like Hardesty. They also have a ton of holes to fill.

This team finished the year 6-3. Aside from old Slippery Fingers Marshall, this is essentially the same team going into 2012 - a team that was improving on a weekly basis in 2011. We have an early pick in each round of the draft. There is no way we are contending for the #1 overall pick next year. The media has everyone in an uproar. So we missed out on Manning. He wanted too much $$$.

If Ireland and Sparano do not believe in Henne then they should have made a move to get another QB prior to this season, but they didn't. They didn't draft a QB this year; they didn't trade for a QB this year; and they didn't sign a high profile FA QB this year. This tells me that Henne is their guy - that they believe in him; which is something that Sparano has said more than once this preseas

I think he would consider leaving for money and because he has been treated like turd by the hometown fans.

Like I said, the franchise tag will not be an option; but if he thrives in 2011 and becomes a FA after the season, there is a good chance he walks.

I applaud Ireland and Sparano for sticking with Henne this year, despite fan and media pressure to go get a higher profile QB. It would have been a mistake to send a high pick to Denver to get Orton. Henne at this stage in his career is better than Orton was at the same stage, and Henne will only continue to get better. I certainly hope that Henne bashers will have to eat a healthy portion

I am a former hardcore NBA fan. I am much more of a casual fan now. To me the NBA had its heyday in the 1980's when Magic and Larry ruled the hardwood. The product may be great now, but I've just lost interest. That said, the Heat are doing it right. Think back to the 80's when Magic, Larry and Moses Malone all agreed to sign with the same team so they could win some championships. And re

While Mallett is a Patriot, it's nice to see he can get some support on a Dolphins message board.

I am not sure we need to worry about Mallett 5-7 years down the road. The guy is 22 years old and he's already as slow as Kerry Collins. What will he be like 6 years from now? I realize his job is to throw not run; but he has been called one of the most immobile QBs ever by more than one writer. What will he be like at 30? You can only be so good in the NFL if you are a statue in the pocket.

Mallett will only see the field in blowouts or if Brady gets hurt. How much payback will he actually be able to dish out? What a buffoon. Doesn't he know why he dropped in the draft? Rampant drug rumors; numerous missed meetings; and the little fact that he is the slowest QB since my grandmother was QB in the ladies senior league at Del Boca Vista.

Cassel and Schaub are a few examples. Mallett would have to dramatically change his reputation for it to happen to him.

If Mallett was not considered worth a 3rd round pick by several teams and not worth a 1st or 2nd round pick by any team - do you really think his value will rise sitting behind Brady?

I wonder if we keep Moore, Wallace and Gates; and utilize Gates in the return game also.

I would still debate Quinn versus Ginn; however the point of this thread is to say that the Dolphins drafted very well this year; despite the fact that we entered the draft short our 2nd pick - having sent that in a package to get Marshall.

So Quinn would have been a better pick than Ginn? Interesting.
