I will be really, really surprised if Matt Moore returns to the Dolphins. Of course I said that when he re-signed three years ago. I would imagine that some fresh QB talent will be walking in the door this summer. Team has already re-signed McLeod Bethel-Thompson.

Good for Richie. This is his second go around with the Bills. They know what he can do. A good, smart, safe play by them. He'll make them more dangerous with Jackson and Spiller running the ball.

Today Jay Glazer of Fox Sports is reporting that the NFL is locked onto a member of the Patriots equipment staff, a locker room attendant if you will, who took the footballs after officials inspected them into a separate room. If he indeed altered them, which is what it looks like the NFL is locking onto IMO, then he had orders from above. I still don't think Roger Goodell has the balls (pard

What Wallace did was wrong; he handled it poorly. Or did he? All season long he's been right in pointing out that the coaches haven't been using him properly. And Tannehill didn't get his deep ball corrected in the offseason. These things HURT the team in 2014. It probably cost them a playoff berth. Since Philbin is as stubborn as a mule, he probably chose to ignore Wallace. That would fit

At DT Goldman is still a bit raw for me and I dont see much of a difference between him and Odrick in terms of impact. The measurables on Perry

This is the salient point here. In the NFL, cheating is punishable by fines (easily paid by rich owners and coaches) and lost draft picks which any team would gladly forfeit if it meant

Point here is that Shula would never stoop to such low tactics to gain an unfair advantage. He was a man of integrity. Belichick, in filming other teams, was not. There is a story Larry Csonka tells of playing the Raiders in Oakland. Either before or after their Saturday walkthru, Zonk finds a copy of the Raiders' gameplan left behind in the locker room. He gives it to Shula but Shula doesn't

As some of the media have already opined, the extension doesn't guanrantee Philbin's long term future in Miami. What it does do is remove the lame duck label, which would compromise Philbin's credibility. It's a wise move on Ross's part.

The Dolphins cannot afford to dump Mike Wallace for a variety of reasons. The guilty parties here are Joe Philbin and Bill Lazor for misusing his ability, and Ryan Tannehill for being inept with his deep throws. My message to those three are to own the problem and fix it. Trading Wallace doesnt solve the team's inability to threaten the deep third of the field...which is WHY they signed Wallace i

I pray that by some miracle Winston or Mariota falls to the Dolphins so they could fleece a needy team below them out of a bucket of draft picks.

I gleaned a good point from my overnight e-mails and correspondence...Tannenbaum would provide an anchor point if Ross fires Philbin next season. But for now there's no getting past the fact that Hickey was demoted and that his ongoing control of the roster and the draft is merely ceremonial now. This is the problem I have with the Tannenbaum hiring...how Ross positioned him. Hickey did a good jo

A bit disappointed in these questions to Tannenbaum. Softballs, one after another.

I will say this: Joe Philbin has said many times that a condition of his accepting the HC job was a direct reporting relationship to Ross. If Ross asked him to consider working for Tannenbaum, the answer was clearly "no" and Ross didn't want to rock the boat over it.

As long as the Dolphins keep DC Kevin Coyle they are committed to a 4-3. If this holds, then Hickey needs to continue to re-tool that unit. Otherwise we should switch to a 3-4 and find a true NT to anchor it. Our DEs are a better fit for that scheme IMO. Ellerbe, Misi, and Wheeler are as well. Wake is really too small to play a 4-3 DE. So is Vernon. I thought they both wore down as the season

The thing about Shula that I always admired was his ability to adjust to the talent he had to work with and get the most out of them. Happy birthday Coach Shula!
