At first glance I thought Tannehill should have continued forward, but after re-watching the play I think he did the right thing. Robey was just a few steps away from hitting him from behind and possibly forcing another fumble...or causing injury to Tannehill.

A risky move, but was it necessary? I need to mull this over... One thing is clear: Hickey disagrees with those who say that LT is not that important in today's NFL!

Delmas is an upgrade over Clemons, so another nice move by GM Hickey. I hope the Dolphins can manage to re-sign Patterson at a more reasonable number. They need a veteran opposite Grimes. I don't think Taylor nor Davis are ready to start, but would like to see both fill the nickel and dime roles. That's the best way for them to learn, and both need to learn as they pretty much washed out their

Strong move by Ross. Some might argue it's 3 years late in coming, but impressive nonetheless.

LOL.

I would be gobsmacked if we dealt Jordan. WHY would we do this? Similarly, WHY would entertain offers for Wallace and Wake? I THINK the idea is to try and add MORE good players, not deal away the ones we have... I'll stop there as we don't know how much of this report is true.

Pretty soon the Dolphins will release or trade Martin. Then Martin will get what he has really been after: a fresh start with another team at LT and a 2nd chance at the big money contract he has been after all along.

We all love Danny here, but I struggle to see a meaningful role for him. He's not interested in scouting and I question if he has the patience to coach or wants to tolerate the long hours.

Seems like the Dolphins have totally ostracized the local media. They just don't care what they write anymore.

Said it before at this time of year and I'll keep on saying it: Rule #1 of free agency is to retain your own good players, regardless of position. Dolphins need to re-sign Starks AND Soliai. No brainer IMO.

The keys for Michael Sam to realize success in the NFL: 1) Be a good player, and 2) Be professional. I suspect #1 will be harder for Sam, but his teammates will have a harder time with him re #2. They'll question his focus in an intimate environment such as the locker room.

I, for one, am not going to judge our new GM at their opening presser. I judge based on the work they'll do, and the results they get. Brian Gaine is his own man, and if he is the choice then I'll wish him the best and EXPECT the best from him.

Farmer has not turned down the interview as of this hour. That report is false. HOWEVER, if I was hiring a GM and one of my candidates was wishy washy about accepting a second interview given my parameters...I'd drop him to the bottom of my list ASAP. The Dolphins need a guy who will be 100% committed, not someone who is second guessing. Hey Farmer, do us a favor...if you are indeed second

If the Dolphins had made the playoffs we would still have Jeff Ireland and Mike Sherman. Their purge, especially Ireland's, is the silver lining in this whole mess.
