What do you all think the over under is on how many games before this offensive line puts Fitzpatrick on IR? Our best lineman now is who? Kilgore? Davis? This will be a historically bad offensive line. Rosen will definitely play this year after Fitzpatrick gets knocked out of the line up, and after he gets hurt, who's next? We may get down to Albert Wilson playing quarterback. Don't get me wr

He was one of the greatest centers of all time. Maybe second only to Dwight Stephenson. Miami had some all time great offensive linemen. We could sure use a couple today.

On a positive note, they cut Will Holden. That guy was absolutely terrible. He looked like his feet were encased in concrete. Addition by subtraction.

The only reason Rosen shouldn't start is that the offensive line is so bad that I think they might not want to throw such a young guy to the wolves a la David Carr. Maybe they want to give the line some time to develop before they let Rosen play. Might not be a bad idea. That line is going to get someone hurt. Ballage looked like he was running into a brick wall or vice versa. It's amazing that t

The O line is the clear weak link on this team. Tunsel is the only guy that I have any confidence in. Dieter and Calhoun might develop but it'll be down the road. The rest of the line stinks. Will Holden is possibly the worst tackle I've seen in a very long time. If he has to play, whoever plays QB is going to get pummeled. I'd cut him today. Kilgore is stop gap at best. Okay but not the long ter

Zach Thomas always kind of reminded me of Nick. Not the biggest or fastest guy, but preparation and smarts made up for a lot of physical shortcomings. It's a travesty that Zach hasn't made the HOF. He's a Hall of Famer in my mind. Call me crazy, but I'd still take Zach over Ray Lewis.

161. RIP Nick
It was so sad to hear of the passing of Nick Buoniconti. In the 70s, my two favorite players were Bob Griese and Nick. He was a fierce competitor and a class act. God speed Nick. We'll miss you.

Based upon Gase's tenure here, if a player doesn't kiss his ass, he'll be in the doghouse. I don't see Bell kissing Gase's ass so I'm guessing there's going to be some friction. Giving Gase final say on the roster is a HUGE mistake. The Miami roster became progressively worse each year of Gase's tenure here. Certainly having a bozo like Tannenbaum didn't help either, but Gase was responsible for

I love it. As bad as Gase's play-calling was, his biggest weakness was player evaluation. The jets are going to rue the day they put Gase in charge of the roster. Gase is loony enough to sign Osweiler and have him start over Darnold. The clown show is now officially in New York (or New Jersey I guess).

Perhaps Grier can pay Tannenbaum to endorse Tua before next year's draft. That way we can get him in the 7th round.

I was thinking that it would be quite the twist of fate if after all the New England assistant coaches who have gone on to be head coaches with limited success, the one that becomes a great head coach turns out to be Miami's new man? I can dream and what better day to start the dream than on Draft night. Go Fins.

Mike "The Franchise Killer" Tannenbaum would take Drew Locke over other QBs in this year's draft. Based upon history, that means Locke will stink as a pro. There is no one's opinion that I have less faith in than Mike the Tannen Bum's. Locke will be the next Mark Sanchez. A GM could base his entire strategy on taking players that Tannenbum would not take and vice versa.

I have a feeling Jones is not long for this roster. He's 31 years old, has an injury history, and is very expensive. All of those things on a team that going through a total rebuild doesn't bode well for his long term status. I have a feeling that if a team gave Miami a decent trade offer, they'd listen carefully.

I've been a fan of the Dolphins since 1971. The only other hire that I knew was as big of a colossal mistake as Tannenbaum was Wannstedt. Tannenbaum should actually be giving talks on how to remain employed despite being mediocre at every level of your job. How Ross came to hire this bozo is beyond me. My thought for a while was that he had incriminating photos of Ross with a goat.

I know we were told that Tannenbaum had been "reassigned" and wouldn't be in charge of anything football related, but I was still uncomfortable with him being employed anywhere with the franchise. Knowing that he'll be on ESPN and unable to screw up the roster or the cap is music to my ears. Now, he can broadcast all he knows about running a football team which should take all of 2 seco

What bugs me is that the only one on the planet that didn't know Tannenbaum would screw up the roster and the cap was Ross. Those are the kind of hires that set a franchise back years. I'm still not sold on Grier. If he has truly been in charge of the draft the p

I'd rather pick a QB from the 2020 draft pool than this year's. Each of the QBs that are touted as 1st round talent this year have significant question marks ranging from a lack of height to a lack of accuracy. I don't want to reach for one this year when it's likely that next year will have much better prospects.

Political commentary really doesn't have a place on a Miami Dolphins board. I have my opinions about the current state of the government and if I want to share them with others, there are boards for that sort of thing. Even if my opinions differ completely with some people on this board, we should be able to come here to talk about something that's not divisive (particularly now that Tannehill is

This is exactly the kind of QB Miami should be considering in the draft this year. I'm not at all impressed with the "1st round" QBs currently being touted. I'd rather spend a 4th rounder on someone like Jackson and then look at 2020 for a blue chip QB in the draft.
