The team hasn't given up on Rosen, many reports are that they are working with him. Recent reports say that he's coming in early and staying late every day and that the coaches are really hammering him about details as well as timing his plays in practice. I think the coaches really want him to succeed and they are doing their part to develop him...about time we had coaches that work all of t

Yes Treasure, it is WHO you pick and How you pick, but your odds of getting a blue chip QB are much greater the higher you pick that player. That's why we need to pick one with a high pick and if we miss this year we have to take another one next year and every year until we hit on one. The coaches are really working with Rosen this year to get him up to speed according to reports...just mayb

Yeah Rosen, a guy who has been asked to do everything this year he’s never been asked to do before. With little help, little time and a very, very short leash. And yes Sam you are forwarding your agenda with respect to Rosen.

Not saying that the lines are not important because they are...clearly they are very important. Nothing goes smoothly without them being good. Also, when did I ever say we have to take a first round QB two years in a row? But we will have to take one next year if we don’t hit on a rookie or Rosen this year. Fitz is not an option IMHO.

Ballage needs a hole to run through simple. With good blocking he will hit home runs. He’s not a shifty type back. He’ll improve however.

Treasure have you seen the league lately...the defense wins championships mantra gets eroded every year. Defense gets harder and harder to win with every single year. That said, it still has a place. But offense is where it’s at nowadays. And nothing today is more important than a stellar QB. We have to draft one, this year and maybe another next year. This and we need to keep Rosen...Fit

Sam as far as Rosen goes, we have no idea at this point what he is or isn’t. A very small sample size on two piss poor teams is hardly conclusive. Anyone who says otherwise is either smoking meth, seriously deluded or is pushing their own agenda.

Treasure, I don’t care if we don’t get the #1 pick but We need to be in a position to get our QB of the future. We can’t drop much more and still get that done without getting really lucky. IMHO, we need to be in play for one of the top 3, Tua, Burrows or Herbert. Tua may be a bridge too far at this point without us giving too much to get him. I don’t think trading away a lot of capita

Happy we won but mixed feelings about it...how far did we fall this week?

I don’t think we can go wrong with either QB. Tua struggled in the first half but he came on in the second half mostly due to rust IMHO. He has really good accuracy and anticipation. Burrows pre snap routine is very slow and I wish his mobility was a bit better. Win, win situation for us.

I’m still critical of Parker...he is still falling short of his draft stock. Nice to see him producing more but is still not enough.

We dropped from #1 to 4 today...our other 2 picks in the first round got worse too. I for one don’t care. After all we beat the hated Jests...at the stadium today you would have thought we won the Super Bowl.

It’s a 2022 7th rounder, reportedly. If he shows up to the team, good deal.

166. Re: Drake
Sorry to see Drake gone...with upgraded blocking he would have been a really good back, IMHO. But given the rumored distance in contract talks I see why he’s no longer here.

QB pick 1, Rosen as the guy going into camp, Ruddock number 3, QB battle ensues. Fitz cut, and BPA every pick we have where we didn’t add decent/upgrade FA players. We simply have too many holes all over the roster. Rookie QB shouldn’t play season 1 period unless he clearly beats out Rosen.

Rosen was not calling the plays and the plays that were called were extremely conservative...Rosen was set up to lose Sunday.

This was a save face situation for our coaches. No matter what happened they could say we tried to win. If it worked they were being aggressive. If it didn’t they could still say we were being aggressive and was trying to win but it didn’t work. I was at the stadium and the fan base had checked out completely prior to Rosen being benched. Ultra conservative play calls doomed us and the two

While I think we are set with Rosen, I agree that we will and should take a QB with our #1 pick. Then Rosen and the rookie can decide who plays. After that, add F/A Support pieces for depth and Draft linemen and Playmakers. I don’t however want to see us go 0 and 16.

No problem with us drafting Tua or Herbert but we need to keep Rosen on the team. We then have an open and equal competition with the best guy winning the job. My personal opinion is that Rosen wins the job provided the coaches are being honest. Tua sits and learns then at a later date we have a quandry...a good thing while the rest of the team improves around the two QB's.

I don't think we go after any high profile free agents...I think we stick to mid range and below guys. Any high profile guys we bring in will be drafted...JMO.

Except that all we can expect, maximum, is 2.5 sucesses out of those 5 2020 picks. Even if we got HOF players it wouldn't be enough to make us winners next year and Grier would be doing very well just to get that 50% sucess rate.

I'm encouraged by the team so far. I mean, I hate losing and poor play but I'm encouraged by our week to week improvements. We played with the pats for the first half, and this week we should have been ahead at the half. Our running game has improved yardage wise each week as well. If we keep to this trend we may be semi respectable by the end of the season, making it easier to be better in the

Here is a league wide draft breakdown over the past 20 years...encompassing all players drafted. 16.7% don't play for the team that drafted them...or busts. 37% of picks are useless players...major busts. 15.3% of picks are poor players...also busts So just over 68% of all players drafted will be busts. 10.5% are average players. 12.3% are good players. 6.9% are considered great. 1%

I can tell you some of what we will be left with. At RB, Ballage because Drake will be traded, at WR, Williams and Grant because Wilson is always hurt and Parker is well, terrible. At QB, Rosen and Ruddock, because Fitzpatrick is terrible. Minkah Fitzpatrick is gone sometime this week, Jones will be gone after the season Maybe we can salvage a bit if we can package Minkah in a deal with D

Every single player that does not want to be here right now should be traded. They will only hurt us in the long run with negativity.Fitzpztrick, Jones, etc...get rid of them all unless they shut up and play. Shame but just the way the near future is going to go.

This how our draft needs to go. 1. Tua 1. OL 2. OL 2. DL 3. DL 3. OL 4. LB 4. BPA 5. BPA 6. BPA 6. BPA 7. BPA 7. BPA Let Tua and Rosen battle it out for the starters job...best player wins...with no external or internal BS this time.

Players already requesting trades per reports. Yes, today was the worst game I have ever watched. Total crap show.

According to what I just read, the NFL suspended its blackout rules for this season...amid pressure to end them from the FCC and politicians. I guess we will see.
