Kipper calls him a starter. Player grade is an A. Other people say, nasty, 6’ 5”, 323 lb mauler in the running game. Scouts are calling him the best guard in the draft and the 5th best tackle. He started at three positions on the line, and has a lot of versatility. Matt Miller says he’s exactly the kind of player you want in front of Tua.

I like the Hunt pick but I wanted Taylor. Not gonna happen now.

I wanted Herbert but that doesn’t mean I didn’t want Tua because I was happy with either player. As long as the brass had conviction on Tua and the medicals were solid I Didn’t have an issue with him. He just makes me a bit nervous, as hits will be cringeworthy for awhile. I like our draft so far. I would have taken Swift, Dobbins or Taylor at #30 instead of Igbinoghene but I understand

We took Igbinoghene because we will be playing a ton of man to man on defense...gotta have good corners to do that. It was a position of need considering what the coaches want to do schematically. His player grade is also an A+. The Jackson pick is also a good one but I think he was a bit of a reach...but due to the run on OT’s I get why we grabbed him. He will get a ton of work right off of

What we are losing out on is...the very real possibility that we miss out on all of the top prospects by staying at 5 and certainly will by trading down. Love, Hurts, Fromm and the rest are projects with serious holes in their games...at the moment. Waiting until 2021 is also not a viable option because we won’t be bad enough to get the #1 pick next year. That puts us right where we are t

Miami needs a QB, we all know that. Let’s assume for a second. Cin takes Burrows... Wash then takes Young. But they ‘could’ take another QB since the the current coach has no ties to Haskins. If they do, Tua or Herbert is gone. Lions most likely trade out of 3. If they do the last of the top three is gone Then there is the Giants, who also ‘could’ trade, if they do the last QB is

I’m not sure that any of the top three guys will be there at five. Burrows and Tua both will most likely be gone with a possibility of Herbert being gone as well. Herbert will not be there at 18.

Well I hate to condone this, but with all of our free agent signings and factoring all of the turnover in QB’s around the league. I think we are going to have to trade up if we want a top QB this year. If we are going to do it we need to “try” to go to #1 and get Burrows. I wish I could be a fly on the wall in a few meetings the Phins will soon be having.

Just for clarification, I never said draft a guy at the top of the draft two years in a row. I said we should draft a QB every year. We should, somewhere. ‘IF’ that happens to be high picks then good, if not then also good.

105. Re: Brady
Good that we aren’t getting him...I’d really hate to take a season or two off from being a fan and stay away from the team. There is just no way I could stomach having Brady as our QB and still support the team.

I agree, however our first three picks need to BPA at a need area. Those three picks have to be slam dunks. Our biggest right now are QB, and OL.

Announced this morning he’s leaving the Pat’s. The Buc’s and the Chargers reportedly offered him 30 Million ish. Where will he be this season?

We should take a QB EVERY single draft until such time as we know we have our guy. No matter the pedigree or draft stock no QB is ever a slam dunk until he does it in the NFL routinely. Gotta keep swinging for the fences in the draft every year. It’s also not the position the player is drafted it’s the quality of the player that’s drafted.

And it isn’t open to the public. TV only apparently. ”A league source announced Monday that the draft will take place, as scheduled, on April 23-25, and will be televised, but will go on without public events.” Palm Beach Post

We shouldn’t trade up or down. We have four guys to choose from at QB. We just have to pick the right one. Tua, Herbert, Love and Hurts IMHO.

Not sure about the QB position right now but I want to see us draft Johnathan Taylor at some point. Just the kind of runner I think will do well in the NFL.
